  • Where did you get the cowl hood?

  • v8? fine. Ford engine? boo

  • I'm gonna do this when I finally find a 302, any serious fabrication you need to do? I know I will have to buy the motor mounts and crossmember but what else am I gonna need to make custom?

  • i was thinking of putting the 2011 5.0 motor in a 93 rx7. anyone think i should go threw with it or if it willl even work or b good idea?

  • @jdiaz713 You would have a hard time making it fit. Dohc engines are very wide.

  • should have done a 240sx ls1 swap or something cause this defeats the purpose of the rx7 even if you dont like rotaries. that being said i bet this car is fast as fuck and mobs like none other and i would in no way be embarassed to drive that machine. beautiful work. i love the hood lol

  • Very nice , car is much improved with the V8

  • Another great conversion! Getting rid of the POS rotary engine is job 1.

    Congrats

  • you sir have just killed a rx7

  • @airsoftscott Somebody needs to do a Rotary mustang just to even this out a little...

  • @Blackinterceptor999

    wasn't a RB26 enough?

  • @raceguy514 nope I found out from a guy that helped build the movie cars that it was fake the RB didn't even run!, they towed it during the scenes of it moving, wtf

  • @Blackinterceptor999

I do not know who you heard that from, but I have personally seen it run, but in the movie they used 5.0s to do the drift scenes. Only used the RB to do the close up and take off shots

  • @Blackinterceptor999 one of the original mustang prototypes was a rotary, so, why not?

  • @prdgyair I'm pretty sure you mean Corvette, the mustang started out with the inline 6 based on the Falcon.

  • @prdgyair Ok so perhaps not the original prototypes but as it turns out in 1965 they did do some Wankel powered mustangs, I have seen a few pictures of this, just in case anybody else reads this and thinks we're wrong...I double check my info.

  • @Blackinterceptor999 yeah, if i heard correctly there were twoor three built around 64-65, and only one remains, SOMEWHERE... strangely enough i saw one of these at a ford show about 15 years ago, and since then they have dissappeared.. seems like ford should have those!

  • @prdgyair I saw that one it was red, it really should be in the Ford museum but I don't believe it was Ford that did the work on it, it was some coachwork company i think don't remember the name but they worked with ford on it...More Googling should provide more answers...I could also prove to my cousin that Wankel's and Fords belong together!

  • sorry, rx7 need to have high rev sounds.. no fan off this car, combining muscle and import is a no no

  • Yeah I don't like the wheels either but that's sweet, man. More please.

  • is that an after market short shifter? -

    Nice car

  • Not a fan of the wheels but love everything else on the car
