It is a movie made in about 2001.

I do not succeed commercially so much in Japan.

Perhaps belief of the supervision that the directionality of the theme was hard to understand may have jumped too much ahead.

But this movie thinks that the details capture that which how about, the feelings of the life-sized junior high student. The too good movie thinks that it is not possible first if I describe a market.

In a sense I can say the movie publishing Antithese.

@AiNobuhiro To cut a long explanation short, "The Temple of Ether".

Chou Chou chose 'ether' because of the compounds contains part of her name: CH3-CH2-O-CH2-CH3, which to her suggests that ether (herself) creates peace and harmony within a crowd. Like 'unity'.

In real life and real language, dž doesn't mean anything. It's a stylistic issue and part of the Lilyholic universe. Like Prince and his weird symbol.

if i have to pick a favourite movie, this will be it... have seen it over and over, and i discover something different every time i watch it. i've got the original soundtrack and Lily-chouchou's album.. it helps understand the movie..

love the opening and ending, the colour is so beautiful... the colour of green, music, and the theme match with each other so well.

For me, I don't really understand what this movie's about. What is its genre? For me, there doesn't seem to be a clear plot.

@terezagreen The plot is bullying in a school. The genre is drama. It's one of those films that asks you to watch it several times while paying the utmost attention. It also presents itself out of chronological order. It starts with the middle of the story, goes back to the beginning, then to the end.

he means....it's better to watch this movie at home, late fri. or sat. night, with friends and get everyone's thoughts of the movie when it's over. On Youtube, it's a pain in the ass going from clip to clip to clip....better to watch whole thing through, straight, non-stop. Blockbuster should have this under their "Foreign" section. That's where i rented my dvd from, like 6-8 years ago. Nice movie that will leave you wondering at end:

It was the same for me too. But try watching some fan made videos to this movie. I watched a few and I started to understand it better. Then I watched it again and I liked it better. Seriously, I did not like it at all the first time I saw it. I kept thinking....is this over yet? lol

Believe me, it's not a typical Japanese movie at all. If you didn't like it that's understandable, it's certainly not for everyone, but there has not yet been, nor, I suspect, will there soon be another movie like this, from Japan or any other country.

Defintetly not the type of movie Im used to, Im more of an comedy type. But this movie was really good and deep and sad :(.. love it.

Did you notice the last chatroom conversation? How it ends? I think that's a great intentional hint from the director saying how this phenomenons can distorce reality. And it is signed "from:freebird". That's what I like about this fim. Every detail has or can have a meaning.

I dont think this film is about dividing people into good ones and bad. It's about realizing that bad ones can do good things (hoshino in the chatroom) and good ones can do bad things (Yuichi).

This is not an american bullie's movie where characters are plain and limited to what they seem to be. These ones have depth (hoshino is the best example) and that is why this movie is so disturbing and at same time so appeling. Because we are good and bad.

When I saw it the first time, as I was seeing it, I wasn't tottaly aware of the impact that this movie would have on me. I only noticed when I found myself thinking about all the time, days after that first look. It's really something else (literally something else). The music is beautiful.
