  • =O Wao! O.O!!!

  • this is messed up! they sound like they're all demon possessed! my high school choir is doing this song.

  • I really hate this piece. It's brilliant, but freaky!

  • My favorite section is from 1:35 to 2:23. The way parts of the choir slide down and then that slow ascent from low to high... sounds like a horror movie soundtrack. So awesome it's scary! :D

  • ну прямо как Гарри Поттер))) Если бы еще и волшебные палочки бы всем раздать)))))))

  • maybe that's the reason why they didn't nail it on that year of the competition

  • thats fucked up

  • thats awesome

  • Раммштайн бы сюда))))

  • they are extremely good! but the girl with the heavy bangs looks like shes possesed

  • They're stagger breathing. The best way to go at this piece.

  • This is extremely creepy and weird. I can see how it'd be difficult, yet it's quite quite frightening. The bird-like noises scare me. Hm..

  • wow. hard song to sing. the girls do a great job.

  • espectacular

  • It' s interesting and not easy :-)

  • my sister became afraid the 1st minute...but interesting by the way

  • this thing is VERY creepy

  • It sounds like angels.

  • demon angels...in a good way

  • willdeburr

If you think this song is terrible,. Search Tjak.

    It means DEMON MONKEY CHANT>

my choir came first for a competition using that song,

And we got kicked out of a church for preforming it.

    Get a life Dude.

  • hey! do you have the score. i am interested. please send me a copy.

  • The score is demented. There are lines and boxes of words scattered throughout it. Quite strange really. We once did this for our choir but I don't have the score left (sorry!).

  • Seriously? I'll be looking forward tjak, i appreciate the note!

  • this one is better than the UMiama one :)

  • This was creepy. Awesome performance though.

  • this is a very hard song to sing because there's a lot of different rhytmes and so on. I have sung this song and i know how hard it can be :D actually i'm going to sing this song with my choir on a concert tonight :)

  • all of them look as though they have some sortof mental problem

  • How?

  • these girls are VERY TALENTED!

their director certainly mold them well!

  • wow! sounds like angels going to war!

  • this is beautiful, wow, how amazing. what a difficult piece to do, seriously. most high school choirs could not even think of pulling this off.

  • OMG I cant listen to this.... I started laughing at about 0:15 when the girl started to sing solo......

  • willdeburr, this is for you

Aglaria Pidhol garia Ananus Qepta. lol. come on dude get a life.

  • OMG people!! this is music, and why the heck you are connecting religion to the music?!

  • lol wtf willdeburr. because i enjoy this piece that means i only embrace this kind of music? what kind of logic is that? you have NO clue what i listen to.

and positive comments are rare? have you not been reading them? here's the tally of the comments in english or in another language, but obvious (one vote per person). "Creepy" can go either way, so I used the context.

    Positive: 35

    Negative: 7

    Learn to count.

  • I think that the choir did a very good job with this piece. I have sung it at the college level and know how difficult it is to put together. And to those that call it ugle, They called most of mozart's masterpieces ugly too. Think about that. Yesterdays ugly is todays beautiful. That is the way with all art. Great job!

  • 2:05 - 2:17. OMG!

  • for those of you who are interested, here are the full lyrics (earlier someone posted, but only partial lyrics)

"To leave a enemy without an answer, say this words to him: Aglaria Pidhol garia Ananus Qepta" and blow in his direction; then he will not know wich way he is headed and cannot answer you."

  • thanks !

  • Never hear a more stupid statement then this (especially when it suppose to be a wise or at least a good advice)

This is a 19 th century Swedish proverb ... that's why they have so much art or music coming from that nation ( you can count it on your ten fingers ......

But again you Tubaguy sime to imbrace only distorted, ugly or sick stuff so I'm just praying for you to get a life partner that will theach you to walk in the light.

  • Oh yeah the girls ARE amazing , nobody can deny that, only these sickos that know very well that one can make them do anything if you're evil and smart enough ....

  • So beautiful! These girls are amazing.

  • How sad to see young kids manipulated into this .... by so called artists...

Some of you think I'm not qualified to comment ... I'm a piano teacher, a pro player and tuner, an Aircraft mechanic, Licenced Millwright, Welder, and the manager of the best European Deli Store in Vancouver's lower mainland. I'm open minded to anything nice or rough but this is the sickest piece I've heard.

Some of you defend it , .... thet's when you make the biggest mistake.

  • you forgot to put "bullshitter" as an occupation.

mistake? what's gonna happen to us when defend this music? huh? oh yeah, absolutely nothing.

you say this music ugly and sick, yet you're the one who is spreading the negativity around. bit hypocritical, don't you think?

  • There is no reason for you to get emotional bud, you can't find fault in me here , no matter how hard you try , this is just a simple guy writing who can easily distinguish a fresh egg from a stinky one ..... and this " song " stinks big time.

  • bach's music was not appreciated in his life period, mostly

it was started to be appreciated after he left out

(if you understand what i mean)

this is a bad song for you, right ?

  • Hello,

I, as a child who has been "Manipulated into this by so called artists" strongly disagree with you. Though I value your thoughts and perspection into this piece. My choir has preformed this. From a tequnical element, this song is extremely hard, the harmony and feeling of possesion is need to be strong in many ways. and with this song I believe that it stretchs their abilities as musical preformers.

  • lol yeah don't bother arguing with this person, he's an idiot. he actually IM'd me saying,

"Obviously you have no sense of art and you are either blind or deaf ... I watched your favourite vids ... they suck big time ."

yeah, it's a bunch of tv shows, pop music from when i was in high school, and a few classical pieces (i don't use youtube for classical cause the recordings usually suck).

i think it's funny he told me that i have no sense of art, given i'm in PHD program this fall in music.

  • You can have 5 PHD s bro , the only difference between you (or some that agree with you) that I can tell a rotten egg (when exposed) by the looks , by smell , or by sound, ... you can't and I just pray that you'll meet some more people that teach you how to make a difference and how important it is to be able to.

  • You call this a song ? Wow !

And about the "streching their abilities as musical performers" the streching went to such an extreme that anded up (as it usually happens when you strech too far) being distorted .

  • Wow. My choir is doing this song at our concert. Not only does this choir kick our butts (we're a college choir xD), but it's a very different take. I quite like it!

PS-Holy crap on some of those high notes!

  • OH MY GOD.... such perfection

  • This is an amazing performance! Quite original piece also! You must have had success with that one at the competition. Congratulations to all of you! I've looked at your other posts as well. Great choir!

  • so you claim to be a professional musician, yet you think that people who enjoy this music need to get a life? how can you possibly believe that this music is going to make the world uglier? just because you can't find the beauty doesn't mean that there is none.

the mere fact that you say these things makes me seriously doubt you are at any level a professional musician.

  • 1) congrats that you played those pieces. doesn't mean you're a professional OR knowledgeable. high schoolers can play that music.

    2) the piece is SUPPOSED to sound "scary and possessed." not all music can be happy and light. i'm not trying to change anyone's point of view.

    3) i was never being criticized in the first place, thus i never made your "second mistake."

    4) get a life? you seriously don't understand what's wrong with that comment, do you?

  • @tubaguy42

are you on any way jealous or something ?

because thois is really fascinating, how good they do this !

  • @litlekarim33 I don't think that's why tnotbis doesn't like it. They are amazing; but to me its their staggering breath that makes me not like it only because they're very young.

  • Comment removed

  • well, don't get hot on this topic

anyone can have their own goods and bads right ?

if you do like mostly kinds of music, then it's okay if you really hates this one, hahaha

well, some people even hates joplin's pieces even though they like any other compositions

i do like this kind of stuffs

but it doesn't mean i don't like classical, instead, i love them

  • i think it's better to appreciate every musician and their style, since we do have different ears and brains, right ?

this piece is amazingly in contemporania style

it's unlike those pieces from classical, baroque, or romantic or even early modern which still regards the progress, harmonics, dissonance art, and the shape of the song. this one is very modern in style

this aglepta is just meant to be sung to 'scare' the audiences. so when it doesn't , then the performance is a failure.

  • oh, and there are many compositions with this style too

so, if you don't like it, just don't hear it, right ? ^^

  • the Appleton Lawrence girl choir, Bel Canto, did this song tonight, and it was soo scary, but it was absolutely amazing at how they could get their voices to do all the right notes and pitches

and its the highest level you can get with girl choir, and so its like 9th through 12 graders singing it, and the little "bark" type things that you hear are so amazingly clear, its phenomenal

  • Wait, what!? These kids are brilliantly talented. They sound creepy as hell, but the amount of skill that goes into this is mindblowing. Perhaps it's people who can't appreciate talent and musical prowess that should "get a life"?

  • THEY SOUND POSSESSED!

  • they need to work on their breathing:)

  • wow this is amazing. Absolutely different from the sounds were used to hearing. It really throws you off in a disturbing but not altogether unpleasant way. Ive meber heard anything like this, it is unique.

  • creepy.... but awesome!

  • This scares me! Gaaaaahh! Ghosts! Ghooosts! xD

No, but, actually it is some scary tones... And not "scary" in idol "scary tones" it's, creepy...

  • these girls do amazing!

my choir's doing this right now and we're kinda like....'what?'

    its bad

  • WOW!!!! These kids are the best I've seen performing this work. Their conductor is a GENIUS when in comes to DYNAMICS and creativity. I think the tempo that he chose really work. Most conductors tend to take this work TOO FAST!

  • Wow... the memories overwhelm me when I listen to this song. My own choir performed Aglepta years ago. These girls did a phenomenal job! Bravo!!!

  • Congratulation to this choir. I can't imagine how much time they must have practised it. Poor them! Does someone know the author, the title and the text of this piece? thanks!

  • Aglepta, by Arne Mellnäs, 1969.

    The lyrics only say:

    "Aglaria Pidhol garia Ananus Qepta".

(Smaland 19th Century; Swedish Trollproverbs, by Bengt of Klintberg)

    EXCELLENT performance, by the way.

  • i love this song, it bothe entrances and scared the crap outta me!

hehe at 1:30 the girl on the edge in the middle is freaking out!

  • There is a Venezuelan Children Choir who sing this song, it is very difficult

  • bullshit vom feinsten ^^

  • O.O

  • definately well done!

    ^.^

much better than the uneversity of miami one that i watched, believe it or not
