I actually think that the reduced strike zone helped Barry Bonds more than the steroids. Umpires would place the upper limit of the strike zone at the belt instead of the armpits as the rulebook says. Measured on myself, that is 40% not being called.

that said...my real point is this...I love Ken Burns as a rule....
but this Tenth inning has failed to address
and condemn the most important issue...
Steroids has ruined baseball in an important way...
all the records...mean nothing anymore...
because all the steroid induced records are mixed in
with the real records from yesteryear.
placing a Barry bonds superior to a Babe Ruth and a Hank Aaron....C'mon Ken ?
