It's based around pretty much the exact same idea (a sporty, kinda rugged, fun vehicle for active young adults). They both have a lot of that dark grey plastic, too.

This one's a lot cooler looking, though.

making antiquate cars like the 6000, bonneville, sunbird, none of which with the exception of the sunbird convertible were exciting or different, also the Fiero was as close as they got to exciting, and even that fell short. The Stinger would have been a Pontiac I would've bought. I loved the fact that you could put a cooler in one door hole, and a glass panel in the other, it woul've been cool to actually look out the side of car and see the road go by. Alas, a missed opprotunity by a them.

I'm not a fan of Pontiacs, but this is one car they should've built. I remember seeing this car at a 1989 auto show, and thought that it was cool, granted I was only 8 years old. Looking back though this could have been a big seller for Pontiac, especially when you consider that the concept of the Geo Tracker, and Suzuki Sidekick were essentially the same. This concept showed that Pontiace was still a competent company, that could have fun. I mean come on, when this concept came out they....
