I have to agree - perfectly played, but simply too rushed. I clock him at quarter note 84, and Dupre's marking is quarter note 76 - and *that's* a bit fast, IMO.
In response to Moeller11739, Dupre indicates the entire piece is to played on the voix celeste.
Dupre calls for voix celestes, but John is using multiple strings because Calvary is a biiiiig room! It's always nice to hear Dupre. A tiny bit slower would be nice but there isn't a lot of reverb to play with. Dupre's indication isn't as slow as most people play. Very musical playing.
A little masterpiece of M. Dupré, here very well played. This organ is very beautiful.

He has some flutes in the mix there too - especially a 4ft

Slow down - way too fast. Nice sounds from the organ.

One of my absolute favorite Dupré pieces: sheer genius in 24 bars (or so).

A bit fast to my taste. Do you use all celestes ranks here ?

Julien,
I'm sorry, but not being the organist, I can't answer your question.
