  • if you dont cry while listening to this, you either dont understand it or just dont want to.

  • The music starts just after 0:57. Roger Waters said (in the commentary on the DVD) that he views these children as building instead of destroying. The little boy difuses a petrol bomb.

  • i can't see some parts(3,6,7,8,10)

  • I prefer the film version of this and ABITW Part 3.

  • parts 1, 2, 3, 8, and 10 are all blocked so all in all youtube is just a brick in your window at five in the morning

  • loving all the comments by people that just realized

  • Amazing best movie. If you even dislike this movie at all we go burn in hell. You feel something different when you see this movie.

  • Im 32 and floyd was on when I was in my crib, my dad & my older brother loved them as do I. No matter how many times I see this it always amazes me, just puts you in england in the 40s around the time of the blitz & makes you think how it would be to grow up in that time with no father cause he never came back from the war.

  • i'm speechless, definitly in my Top 1

  • so yeah i just saw it and i have to admit it was good. it is definately a great experience

i hate the fact that i am too young to have heard Pink Floyd all that much though

  • i dont need anyone to explain this movie to me. i am sure it is only meant for a certain kind of cursed human beings who were destined to live with nothing at all

  • @ninearthify damn, i agree with you completely

  • this movie is like a long music video. I fucking love it!

  • i could not have chosen a better subject to do my senior research paper on. absolutely brilliant.

  • why the hell did i have to be born during this retard generation we have now

  • @BRANDONimasleep you cant call us all retards so simmer the fuck down

  • @PinkFloydFan95 take pride in not being retarded then. -_-

  • its been a long time since i've seen this miracle.

    (tears)...

    thank you for uploading jimmy.

  • i've seen all parts now, it was beautifull!! tnx for posting all this

  • This entire album and movie is a pychological case study. There will never be another concept album to match its' legacy. As a youth, this album gave me many hours of introspection regarding my own life and those significant aspects that shape who we are. We can hardly understand it as we live it but to see it in retrospective gives us that insight into how fragie we all really are. Anyone who refuses to feel has his or her own wall up and must answer to themselves as to why.

  • @Msumner316 i definitely agree. i just finished my senior research paper on the analysis of the album/movie, mainly focusing on the psychological references throughout. such an amazing and complex piece of work.

  • @Msumner316 you are absolutely right, hearing the wall and watch this, makes feel like this was almost part of my life, how i don´t have de guts to confront my own fears and for that, I almost was able to complete my own wall, but thanks for the support of my friends and my family, the wall is down... very very down and i hope it stays there and never see it again because is a living hell what lies inside of the wall

  • @Msumner316 We all build our own walls at one time.

  • Alan Parker, Gerald Scarfe and of course Pink Floyd are 1000 year ahead of their time here. I'm writing this when Roger Waters is actually a mere 1000 meters from my home in Poland, performing THE WALL of course ! I can smell the genius, physiologically today !

  • One helluva film.

  • The last song is the whole point of watching this movie for me. It's almost like your mother conforting you saying there there you just had a bad dream. That's how it feels to me anyway. In my view I think the last song is saying that there were people that cared for you all along but Pink shut them out as he was behind his wall. There were people trying to reach him all along. Events of the wall is a combination of events that happened to both Roger Waters and Syd Barret.

  • Aw shit i watched through this without drugs. I guess i got the basic idea of dat movie but i'll need to read the analysis too.

  • This movie came out when I was 13 and I remember seeing it in a big cinema. I was very shocked at the time as this movie deals with depression, rejection, the loss and the absence of a father, society's implacable might upon kids, resentment and hatred, racism, I mean everything that touches humanity. Alan Parker is a genius, however I'm reading that Waters was not impressed with the movie....comments?

  • It's too bad that my german school english isn't perfect. it would be much more easier to understand this great movie :D

  • Soooooo trippy. I can't believe the movie wasn't removed for showing some brief nudity. A great piece all together thanks for uploading this!!!!!

  • this movie is so brilliant that it scares me that the human mind has so much potential

  • @REvenzo2 For good and for Evil :(

  • first time watching and dam puts a real perspective on the album

  • génial vraiment géniale

  • No matter the time, no matter the age, no matter anything, pink floyd is one of the best band of rock ever, every place in the world get emotioned with this theme "All alone or in twos the one who really love you walk up and down outside the wall" we all build are own wall, that's the truth...

  • Awesome, beutiful, weird, sad, extrem, wonderful, amazing, unique

  • THUMBS UP IF U CRIED

  • Man, what a trip

  • Didn't really like how this movies story was told. It seems like you need to know Roger W. to understand it. I don't know him, but I did enjoy the music very much.

  • I remember it when it came out it scared me as a teen

  • I just realized something.. I've seen this film a hundred times, yet I just noticed that "Hey You" Isn't featured in this.. Bummer :/

  • wow.

  • I wasn't even 10 when I watched this movie for the first time. Yes, The Wall maybe rated by some as a "+18" movie, but it's messages and the story it transmits are for all ages. In other words, I've learned with this much more about the danger of drugs than with any other ridiculous school lesson about them.

(And no, I am not trolling and saying "Nha nah you need to be in drugs to understand this film", I am saying that because of the expirience that Pink passed with drugs...)

  • i love this movie so much. I am doing producing a concert this summer with members of the decemberists, sneakin out, water tower bucket boys and more in portland. you can check out the project here: kickstarter(dot)com/projects/834980852/pink-floyds-the-wall-with-a-bluegrass-folk-twist.

  • this points talks about Roger Waters and Syd Barrett

  • finally I watch it!!

  • Amazing movie.

  • I understood like... 5% of this movie... Hehe itunes says unrated i say like R... Blood, rape, more blood, weird worms, more blood, disturbing images... Ahhh but such a good movie

  • Wow thisi is an amazing album and movie- thanks for taking yout time by uploading this.. :D

  • why cant isee pt 11?!?!?!?

  • I think I shall try and do my best as to sum up the movie, which, in my thoughts, is magnificent. Pink, the main character throughout, is building up walls against things he hates: his school, war, his wife, and other such things. But in the end the metaphorical walls are tearing him apart and he longs for human interaction so at the very end he breaks down his walls. But also, the kids picking up the debris show that people will always build up there walls, face them, then tear them down. An i

  • the wall most likely isnt about syd barret you asshole.roger waters would have you killed

  • @bonerbadazz16 No... Roger Waters would not. If you think that... you've missed the whole point of this film, and music!

  • Even if I had to reach my 20s to finally watch this, I'm glad I did.

If only musicians today were more like that....

Thanks for uploading, you are amazing

  • damn... Pink is just so fascinating but at the same time just so depressive. This movie is definitely brilliant!

  • that was.. creepy :S

I am so scared right now..

    but finally I watched it!

    Pink Floyd rules.

  • 4:39 "Soundtrack available on CBS Records and Tapes".

    28 YEARS LATER..........

I still want the movie version of the wall soundtrack.

  • @monstercrabee do you live in the uk? as there's a shop in ely by or near the cathdil >< cruch and its an auntue shop above but under it there is a record shop and over on the far side where the guy sits there is a bit with pink floyd stuff he has the film record as it has the wall front but it has the things from the film

  • @sirmugman I'm going to the UK now....

  • @monstercrabee lol what your looking for is the wall cover but with loads of the things from the film pouring out the front like the kids and the wife teacher and the mother the book from what my dad said is just the pictures from the film and a few other bits from the film like when they are setting up or getting ready

  • Genius!!!

  • Amazing.

  • Well, and end is here! After all, The walls are always in the history of mankind, each generation has one own wall! IT needs a time to break. Sometimes is easy, sometimes is hard! Thanks to Pink Floyd we just broke one wall! Stand up, now, and go out and see the Sun over us, and say: no more walls! The life is nice!

    Bye.

  • pink floyd 4 ever!!!

  • THE GEATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME

  • I watched all the parts today and it was an awesome movie

  • AWESOME. . . . . . . . . . . . . <3

  • That is the greatest movie ever made. Ever.

  • wow thank you so much

  • Just wanted to say that I greatly appreciate your upload of one of the best movies (artists in general hardly ever have their work appropriately translated into cinema) made. To think that such talent goes unsung in this day and age of Lady GooGoo and Justin Beaverface or whatever ..... really is a tragedy.

"Tread softly- for you are walking on my dreams.."

  • i dont think the message was fuck the system =S....i think it was a story about Pink putting up all these "walls" to protect himself and in the end he had to bring them down lol...

  • Thanks for posting Jimmy.

  • "The Wall" is almost 30 years old, but, oh boy, it still is as actual as ever! Pink Floyd are the real prophets!!

  • Jimmy,

Thank you so much for this; I have been waiting for the Blu-Ray of this film, and I still want to get that, but it's great to see this in a fine clean transfer.

  • i finally saw the wall... awesome

  • Great movie but I never got the ending that much, like why did he go insane why was the wall destroyed and why where the kids picking up the bricks

  • @kaine22111

The wall was his wall, his drugs and booze and hatred of what he had become.

The only time the wall falls is when he loses his mind.

I think the kids picking up the stones are a beautiful metaphor both for a ruined man and a ruined country. Also, you can see them as someone young just starting to build his own 'wall.'

    Just my ideas.

  • Thx JImmy the jelly for sharing this on youtube..........

such a piece of pure visual and sentimental art

    Respect Roger Waters

  • Thank you!

  • Hello JimmyTheJelly, I just watched this movie and I would like to thank you for putting this magnificent piece of work on youtube =) Cheers.

  • Im comfortably numb are you

  • great movie thanks for uploading thought id never see it again as i dont own it

  • @14467396 The children are left to pick up the pieces of the madness adults have left behind... such as in war. No body wins. That's what I got out of it.

  • Comment removed

  • The ending of "the wall" is all about how walls will continue to be built by others and how Pinks wall was just one of many, their will be many more built (and subsequently knocked down). It's a continues cycle. In the album this is represented by the "Isnt this where......we came in" loop and in the film its represented by the children picking up the bricks and remains to start building walls of their own.

  • @14467396 The end is very simple ... I think so. Children are our future, for now are unaware, must clean up after us

  • Thanks for this!

  • Wow

  • Great

  • Finally saw the movie...i am soooo impressed! _a huge piece of art_

    thanx for posting

  • yeah, movies today are excellent, but not remotely similar to those older ones. i must say this movie can cause some bad dreams and stuff, but then again, it's from the soul, from the heart.

  • Algo bien :)

  • Hi all, I noticed there are lots of questions about the various meanings the movie presents or more specifically about the ending. Just thought I'd suggest a great site for a review of each song as they are played throughout the movie. YouTube won't allow posting links in comments but you'll figure it out, it's called: thewallanalysis(dot)com.

  • @JimmyTheJelly this told the future of the uk.everythin depicted happened, and is happening again

  • @JimmyTheJelly Thank you for posting the whole film in such high quality and for making it so easy to follow. I had only seen bits and pieces before today.Just watched the whole thing and absolutely loved it. And now I have a lot to think about.

  • this is the 100th time ive seen it because im an older guy but i love the fact young guys like this movie. back then this was the only movie to hang out and watch. and yes legion you are right about the story. check out wave twisters. dj. qbert

  • I guess you could say that i'm one of the younger guys, being 18. you can rest assured that those of us that are young yet mature enough to appretiate the true mistique and value of the music, as well as the metaphoric messages it portrays, do appretiate the work of this film. Though the appretiation's there, there's a HUGE probability that we do not fully understand it Lol. I get most of it but i couldn't tell you the meanings, too much to describe,, Glad to let you know that young guys love it

  • Acid trips = flashback to childhood memories, thats helpful when you want to write a complete album with your band hehe.

  • i 14yrs old and i LOVED this movie. its the best i had ever seen. i watched it with my friends and they thought it was stupid and pointless. T_T im the only one i know who understands

  • @happylizard08 same here, i had to explain it to some of my friends and they think im crazy lol

  • know exactly what you mean

  • hld on, this is the second time ive seen this. the first time i was asalutely lost, but now i completely understand it now. but what i still dont understand is the ending. is it a new beginning for pink now that he is outside the wall?

  • I didn't understand unfortunately

  • The only way through this wall of world system and human lostness and depravity is through Jesus Christ, hope you believe it to know it :)

  • One of the best movies i've ever seen...

you need to fear something more than persons or phobias, and that is your own mind.

i love the end, and i cryed :')

  • This is a heart breaking story that may be true or not but it has meaning and quality to it and that makes a good movie.

  • That was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Im a 15 year old guy, who loves metal, and I think im going to cry.

  • its not only roger about, its syd also.

waters and barret are pink ^^

waters lost his father in ww2 and barrett had shizofrenia in his youth.

    am i right?

  • @LegionOfAgony yes you are correct syd developed shizofrenia when he was a bout 20 years old I'm pretty sure

  • @LegionOfAgony Well, Barrett's own sister denies the rumors of mental illness. But the guy certainly exhibited some strange behavior.

  • This movie is the explination of my life in two hours

  • I loved it!

    but I didnt get it

  • i'm so happy i finally got to c this :')

  • they forgot something......."Isn't this where"

  • @somethinglikelife1 this is only on the album not in the movie.

there are so many things that are in the album not the way they are in the movie.

there's no "where we came in" as well.

  • thanks for the uploading - good quality of a music and a video also - long live the High Definition - the second version in the classical definition I have seen here on Youtube is ugly as hell - long live HighDef...

  • Thanks for the upload. Great quality to.

  • This is probably the sadest most depressing movie I've ever seem. But also one of the best! I love u Roger Waters!

  • Hhhhmmmm... I'm antiestablishmentarianism, but i dont thing there should be tottal anarchy either.

  • you manage to spell a 25 letter word but you miss spelled total...

  • and think...

  • get movie, such a shame that not many ppl have seen it, i wonder if that would make our generation think a bit more...

  • @Rubie577 well, i think so. it made me think...

  • This gives me hope about the American Idiot movie.

  • that was an amazing movie! oMG so trippy though....thats why you dont do heroin folks!

  • That was an intense movie. I saw the animated flower scene when i was a kid, just passing through channels, but it just scared me for the most. Now, seeing the full movie and actually finding meaning in that scene, and all the others...i am truly in awe. I'm also in deeper admiration for Pink Floyd's music. I love a movie with meaning. Though i'm still left with confusion, this is definitely one of the best movies i have ever seen. Thanks for posting this movie Jimmy!

  • So did pinky commit suicide? It would seem so since It would be the only way for him to break down his wall.

  • He probably broke the wall, and ended up being a mess... and the ending just shows that he has some tiding up to do with his life... I guess

  • Doesn't matter if pinky did commit suicide. But answering your question, no he didn't. The main point its in the building of the wall, the father's death, mom's excessive protection, woman's stuffs and much, much more bricks. Like you, i had the same question "How could he break down his wall?" thats because i had forgoth about the The Trial : D

  • Fuck Michael Myers, Jason Vorhese, Or Freddy. The real horror is whats in our minds. oh and BTW RIP Rick Write

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • f.......k the system guys.... we should be proud of people like pink floys who had the power to talk in public for those important problems... pink floyd are awesome....

  • @angie2002967 FUCK YEA

  • pink floyd should be thankful to syd barrett for having gone completely nuts and having given the inspiration and theme for their best works

  • @AristYdes Totally! I heard that Syd was the one who wanted to bring in some women singers and a saxophone player...plus if you listen to Piper at the Gates of Dawn you can hear the sample of clock alarms going off...He was the totally driving force of Pink Floyd there and after; however, it's the group's creativity (without Barrett) that brought them to their peak (Dark Side of the Moon,) in my opinion...

  • i didnt mean that barrett brought the inspiration and themes but that barretts madness was itself the theme of all pink floyds great music. barretts music, joyful, humorous, optimistic, is completely different to pink floyd in the seventies.

  • are you sure its aout him?

  • yes they have said it about 1 000 000 times in more and less the same amount of interviews

  • @AristYdes it may be there "greatest works" but after syd died and david became lead, every one of their songs has something to do with someone going crazy.. not just the songs on The Wall. David eventaully got tired and angry with having to sing songs about crazy people so that i why he quit.. so in ways Syd was the inspiration and the majority cause of their fame, but it was also their downfall

  • @LaurLaurShift1 Syd didn't die till 2006, he was kicked out for going crazy. That and David never left the band once he joined.

  • @AristYdes And also for losing him as friend? Yeah, sure, get him out of the way...

  • that was a really good movie thank you for posting, without that post I would have been unable to watch it

  • i like this movie but whats it about?

  • to my understanding it is about aboy who grows up in england and his dad goes to war then he goes completly insane

  • your brain needs some exercise

  • absolut genial

  • really i like so mouch this movie, this wonderfull end of the escene with the kids its just perfect... i really miss this kind of job in our times, the modern music with all respect its bullshit, nothing to compare with roger or any music of the 70's 80's , but well "any time past its better..." haha ok salutes

  • This movie is one of a kind. thanks for uploading

    5/5

  • I think Pink shoots himself because I hear two gun shots at :10 and :11 and the kids are all going to repeat the cycle and we should try to stop them from doing this... Roger Waters. Thank You

  • peter frampton was the make up guy for the film...always knew he was tad fruity...lol

...before u say it i know it isnt really frampton... or is it???? lol...u never know with the floyd...his career was in the tank he knew the floyd...lol...the mignta hooked him up with a gig...lmao

  • this movie honestly makes me cry

  • what a great movie. Awesome artwork, and meaningful symbolism! thanks Jimmy!

  • So Alan Parker and Pink Floyd didn't like making this movie, huh? I don't see why. It was a very creative film, and I fail to comprehend why they hated it so much.

  • Fantastic ending to a Great movie.

  • Isn't This Where...

  • ...we came in.

  • Jimmy u r the jelly. thanx man i havent seen that movie since i was a teenager in the early 90`s, it made no sense then but i have always thought about it and watching it again now really made it make sense, in a pink floyd kind of way. thanks jimmy and thanks floyd.

  • this is one of the best movies i ever watched in my life... THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST

  • personally i believe when pinks judge ordered him to tear down the wall he did so by suicide. there is a hint in the song the final cut when he says "and if im in i'll tell you whats behind the wall" after this a line a gunshot is heard, suggesting pink shot himself

  • Gregorian choir, brass, trumpet, etc... What an Outside the wall end cerdits version!

  • This was just the 'beginning' of the END

If you understand what I mean....

  • Interiors were shot at Pinewood Studios, and it was suggested that they suspend Geldof in Christopher Reeve's clear cast used for the Superman flying sequences from storage, but his frame was too small by comparison; it was then decided to use a similar mould for Helen Slater from Supergirl, which was a more acceptable fit, and he simply laid on his back.

  • During production, Geldof suffered a cut to his hand while filming the destruction of the hotel room set as he pulls away the venetian blinds. The footage remains in the film. Also, it was discovered during the filming of the pool scenes that Geldof did not know how to swim.

  • "Does Pink live happily ever after? Does he live unhappily ever after? Does he rejoin society after the collapse of his wall as a changed man? Is he killed, either metaphorically or physically, by the sudden absence of his psychological barriers? Some may feel cheated that we are never specifically told. Pink Floyd is not a band concerned with "happy endings" and neither "unhappy endings". For both the artist and piece of art, there are no endings. Only continual life and abounding potential."

  • and to your agreed point...will the floyd as a band be recognized as artists like a michael angelo, or shakespeare, or picaso, or beethoven...i know there are legions of us that believe so...and i know it doesnt matter...but when we're all gone is the pink floyd gonna be gone too, or will they remain artists that exist past time....you dont know what being alive is until you heard the floyd on a heavy dose of LSD, and thought to yourself, i just learned what it means to be alive

  • FUCK YEA!!!!

    Dogs all the way

  • lol thats a derict quote from the wall analisys website

  • @JimmyTheJelly Your awesome.

  • just picking up the pieces

  • this movie always makes me cry, its too sad

  • that was the best movie i have ever seen!!!

  • ++++++++1
