I could not agree more, it's nice to see some brothers out here, I don't understand something however. I was listening to Rush Limbaugh today and he said Obama's favorite passage of the Bible is in the book of John when Jesus says whatever you do to the least of these you do unto me. Rush being the brilliant politician that he is brought to my attention, who is the most vulnerable innoncent and the least of us all? A human baby. So how could Obama stand for killing babies when he belives?
Comment on this video, Bible has a ton to say about homosexuality and abortion (aka murder, methodical intent to terminate a life, embrio, if left alone would turn into a living human being). As far as demoninations are concerned, the failure is not in the word of God but in the ability of every person to accept. We have the right to choose God or not and you choose to not choose God so therefore you do not choose his word. Truth has nothing to do with it.
the bible is not the word of god. Neither god nor jesus had anything to do with its writing, and it was compiled hundreds of years later by a committee that decided which "words of god" should be included. The bible has many shortcomings. It teaches many good values, but many of the values it promotes are outdated. And by the way, Jesus wasn't white either. I wonder how many "christ-facists" realize that, and how many would still be as religious if if they did.
Jew's are considered white. Its a pretty known fact. Jesus was born in Betheleham, easliy found on a map in Israel. The bible is a group of writings written by men, mainly men who best grasped what Jesus taught through personal experiences given thier role. IE apostles or students of Jesus or themselves, pharisees like Paul who grasped Jewish law and prophecy and the life of Jesus. The accounts in teh bible support each other and give validity to the book as historical.
And as to Bradheraven's comment about the Bible being poorly-written, I strongly disagree. It is the best written book I ever read. I will continue to read it. :)
The constitution is for limiting government power not limiting US Citizen liberties. The problem is none of the candidates d or r are qualified to defend, protect and preserve the constitution except Dr. Paul, and he's not winning. This will be a horrible 4 to 8 years for America, if not our own bankruptcy. I'm buying gold and silver now not leaving any monopoly money in any account to slowly get widdled down to nothing through inflation.
Prediction: Huckabee is a no win ticket, I asure you that. Further, no matter who wins, their policy will be dictate to them. Trust me you. Remember the shadow government? You are Canadian no matter you wanted evidence from me regardin Obama and CFR. Any way Hackabee will be going back to Kansas on Nov. 5. I further asure you that winners of this primary like many others, have been selected.
Seriously, I agree with what you say. Religion doesn't mean you have good moral standards. I mean I know several atheists who are good, moral, caring people. I am not Christian, though I was raised Baptist, but I do believe that the Bible also says "Judge not lest ye be judged" but nobody ever wants to use that because it seems to be a Christian way to judge other people who are of a different faith than them.
Huckabee would be an extremely easy candidate to beat because 2 thirds of America doesn't agree with the beliefs of those morons who think the poorly-written and contradictory book called the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. Huckabee would align all sane Americans behind the Democrat nominee.
I share your fears my friend. Sadly, I good portion of his voters think that our country was founded on Judeo-Christian Principles and seek to re-write the history of this country. Interestingly, in Huckabee's comments he rejects the idea that it was founded on those principles. If they were, there would be no reason to ammend the constitution.
most of you people, including this man, have no idea about Christianity and you should know what you're talking about. Actually the Bible has many things to say about hmosexuality. Read Romans chapter 1:26. Abortion, to me, is classified under murder, and every single American president has been a Christian, and since you people love to jump in christians, even though they do nothing but help, you don't like Huckabee.
Christiantiy is such a great religion, because no matter what the Bible is still there with the answers. So when a Christian points out to another Christian that they're wrong, they can both then look in the Bible to find which is right and move from there. I'm a non-denomenational and I believe that some Christians don't believe in right things, but they all believe in the Bible, in the same God, and beliefs. People just interpret the Bible differently.
I'll have to check out that Gilead book. Regarding your mixed feelings over Huckabee being nominated, that's the exact same way I feel about Hillary, but I can unequivocally say I don't want Huckabee to be nominated. If it comes down to Hillary vs. Huckabee, I might just move to Mexico
my bad, thanks for the correction. the Huckabee situation slightly reminds me of the premise of It Can't Happen Here, a book by Sinclair Lewis, the same guy who said "When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross"
I came from Mexico to the US 8 years ago. I suggest you move to Canada, that's where I'll be going. By the way did you know Mexico started as a theocracy. The catholic church did a lot of damage to the country. It is one of the reasons it is still stuck in the 3rd world.
Very well said! It's great to hear someone know what they are talking about. I now view Christianity as a radical brainwashed cult. I WAS once a Christian. I HOPE THEY NOMINATE HIM because it will give people a better view of how FAKE religion really is. Watch Benny Hinn and you'll know. Ted Haggerd anyone?
Huckabee simply stated it's easier to amend the constitution than the standards of morality he believes are from God. His stance for pro-life and against "murder"is nothing new among conservatives. He supports traditional marriage and against anything that imposes itself directly/indirectly against it. Not only are these a Christian stance, but traditionally conservative also and upheld by anyone wth a little common sense to see the difference and stand up for what they believe in.
My problem is that there are many non-religious conservatives and Republicans in America that also support traditional marriage and the Human Life Amendment (and they're criticized enough for that), but when Huckabee injects the word "God", people start freaking out and thinking that he will run a theocratic government. Well, no--he won't. Just because a person derives their political viewpoints from their religion doesn't make them supporters of theocracy.
Okay...let me put it this way: Lots of people hold the political/personal/moral beliefs that they do because of their religion (like Huckabee's feelings on abortion and traditional marriage). People make decisions based on their beliefs all the time, they just don't emphasize the origins on those beliefs. Huckabee is simply saying that he is going to act in accordance with his religions beliefs.
There is a major difference between personal conviction being the basis of thought and wanting to completely change a government to conform to religious doctrine. The latter is the creation of a theocratic state. Last debate I remember watching the reasons against the Row v. Wade case was that it took power away from the states. Even if religion plays a part in that idea it doesn't require a constitutional amendment, which is a scary scary subject.
Except that many peoples' personal convictions are directly tied to religious doctrine (like Huckabee's). The fact that Huckabee only wants to work on 2 issues (abortion and traditional marriage) and NOT "completely change" the "government to conform to religious doctrine" illustrates that he is no theocrat.
What? He never just said those two issues. He said "God's Standards!" This is a very broad range of ideas. Not all of peoples convictions are tied to religious doctrine. Beliefs develop in many ways. You forgot that he also wants to teach creationism in schools. The list keeps growing and growing and growing.
Making decision is different then a constitutional ammendment!! Helping people, cutting taxex, healthcare principles, and most decisions by the President are not considered to be beholden to a specific religion and are not ammended. There is not ammendment that "We shall all help the poor." Even though the stance of a President is to promote this principle.
Great video! Yeah dude. I mean we are sitting ducks down here no matter who wins. But Huckabee would probably be the worst of all options. Of course, McCain would not be too much better.
Great video as always! It really does not matter who is nominated from either party or who wins at this point "The Empire of Blood" as I always think of the good ol US will go on and continue its descent into hell-I wish i lived in Canada!
I could not agree with you more. As a matter of fact I am considering moving there soon. Canada has sort of made it easier to emmigrate there right now because they need workers. I wish we had that problem down here.
Could you imagine what would happen if Harper said he wanted to amend the charter of rights and freedoms to his interpretation of God's standards? Man, Rex Murphy would have a lot of fun with that.
Harper wouldn't be able to get himself elected to any office in Canada if he made such a statement. Maybe dogcatcher in Olds, Alberta, and even that's questionable. You'll recall the hullabaloo when he said "God bless Canada" at the end of a speech. US politicians say "God bless America" as often as they take a dump.
I'm a liberal protestant. I'm scared of theocracies because unless they're run by God himself, it's open to interpretation of what laws should be and look like.
well, he was a pastor. why do you care so much when you're probably not even an american citizen??

right on target.
my feelings also.
another president that knows what God wants.
Heaven helps us all.
we are seriously considering moving elsewhere
because this is not the America we have loved and stood up for.
Too much greed, power, lies and "if you aren't with us then you are against us".
I think of the writers of the Constitution and how they struggled to form this new country.
We have a president now who could care less and states that it "is just a piece of paper".
So so sad.
