Efren always pretending that he was so lucky and humble in every game he won, but the truth is, he was so good on making those shot's especially the hard one's
@chenggay123 some of earl's fans accused him of that in the 1996 Color of Money... Strickland led the match by 17-19 racks with 13 racks left to win the race-to-120 match.... But the truth is Earl blew it..It tied at 111-111 and 117-117. Efren won 120-117.
ehh, yeah some of his classic shots are in here, but most of the rest of them are nowhere near his "greatest" Many of these shots (not all) to an average player may look amazing, but are actually fairly basic in their execution.
Those shots that he performed like the clips from 0:11 and 0:50 are really skillful.
Like a Filipino sport commentator once said, " He is a natural Mathematician or whatever you call it, Because he see angles like nobody else does and he takes risk that others don't take " ....---Mr. Nathaniels
@notbestfriends i´ve seen both players play the game, and efren´s definately the better one. the reason why mosconi had that much titles earned is simply that in these times the competition wasnt that hard like today.
@notbestfriends I have the utmost respect for Mosconi's abilities but I don't know if he was the best there ever was. Read the book "The Hustler and the Champ". It talks about how Brunswick controlled the tournaments for over 50 years. By contract, Brunswick owned most of the players that played and they basically got to say who played and who didn't. While Mosconi certainly was a great player, he did not have to play in true world championship matches like today's players. cont.
@silvaaa70 Also, if you read the April 2010 issue of Billiards Digest they compare Willie Mosconi and Ralph Greenleaf. Greenleaf had 14 world titles to Mosconi's 15. All of Greenleaf's titles came on 5x10 tables. Mosconi played on 5x10 for only a part of his career. Also, here's the most interesting part. It is pretty well documented that Greanleaf achieved all these things while being drunk. He died drunk and broke at the age of 50. With all that said, I think Efren Reyes is the best. cont
@silvaaa70 Efren Reyes plays all games. 8ball, 9ball, 3cushion,balkline, one pocket, snooker, straighpool, bank pool, rotation and others i'm sure. He won his 1st straight pool match he ever played in and had a high run of 123. He has changed the way we play 9 ball, one-pocket and straight pool. He plays every game at a high level. No player before him has ever excelled at so many different games. He just won the "Master of the Table" at the Derby City Classic for the 5th time at 55 yrs old.
@AlTarik you must be so stupid!! It was not a fluke as you say, it was planned. The fact Jimmy White would not be able to execute this shot every time shows just how difficult it was!! Thats like saying ALL of Efrens difficult shots were flukes!! What are you, some sort of retarded spastic?
@luisgeometria What are you saying? Are you kidding us? Efren is the best in the world no matter what. He can do all the best in pool no other player can (e.g. can play both right and left hand, can compete in any pool discipline like 10-ball, 9-ball, 8-ball, 14.1, rotation, one-pocket, three-cushion carom, etc.), was able to win a race to 120 marathon tournament, can think and create shots you can never think of while on pressure during a match). Perhaps you don't know how to play pool.
@luisgeometria you didn't know what is the meaning of the best in the world...... performing those great shots means a great experience he went in his 45 years in billiards..that's how he is the greatest.... those were the only just a piece of evidence that shows efren is the best.... You will realize he is the best if you went back in his prime back in the 80's and 90's. He is getting older.

@joshuaagar ok. then i guess you can say he is lucky for like 20 years in international billiards? everytime he gets that shot, it's a lucky shot right? well, 20 years of lucky shots is quite a lot don't you think?
@KKisforever apparently from what ive been told it was put in there to show how he recovered from that lucky fluke that was made against him lol i still say its pointless ive seen the jimmy vs efren video...
