To be fair, part of the reason Hyuk's previous failures have been so spectacular is because he was significantly ahead in many of them and somehow managed to lose. That shows that his early game was extremely good and his end game totally sucked against the top tier of Starcraft gamers. The early advantage was probably enough to knock out weaker opponents.

Once he figured out how to keep up the pressure in the end game against the top tier players, the winning became more consistent.
