@futureruler123 I will let the red bitch have pups until I find an amazing male like Nemo. The stud is the most important part of a line. Nemo was my 44th pup from my first breeding pair, Rusty and Shelia. Google Yosemite Cow Dogs to see hundreds of pics of my line from the beginning in 2004.
@Hungrybear9562 cool so you have been at it for awhile how can you tell a good stud by how dominant it is the reason i take intrest in things like this is my grandfather was a farmer and when it comes to animals you have to think inhead when it comes to the animals future generations which is why you want to breed the strongest males with the best female however i don't know much about farm life cause he died before i was born and my mom moved to the suburbs before she had me
@futureruler123 There's many factors, looks, markings, attitude, intelligence. It can be hard to tell until they are 10 weeks old, sometimes even then you don't know for sure, it can be luck. With Nemo I could not sell him because he got rattle snake bit very young so I kept him. He was ugly, he has a bad eye from it, but he healed with with out any help what so ever. He had a big hole in his head but never acted like anything was wrong so I just let him be. He kind of chose me.
@Hungrybear9562 nemo is one tough dog to survive a snake bite to the head also that makes for a better immuneity which i think will pass on to the pups which could be a plus he dose seem to be loyal to you as do all the dogs also thats the thing about dogs they tend to choose their masters themselves
@iAnthrit Nemo and Grawley do, the pups have to be trained not to kill them. Some pups are more natural chicken killers some are naturally not.It depends. The chickens right now are penned because the pups are an unknown if they will kill them or not. i plan to see what happens soon, I'll make a video on it. There are more chicken videos coming soon.
@futureruler123 Nemo can keep going until he dies. I can expect a few more years out of him. I hope I can make a replacement stud out of the red girl.
I love your puppies~!! =D
