2 things that inhibit this, first the entire rod acts as a "back stop", and second, even if you DID manage to gte it to leave the frame, it wouldent have enough power to do much harm, especially past about a yard. So NO, modifying this into a projectile weapon would take more work than just building a projectile weapon from scratch.

@1lovesoni yes I know the spike weighs to mug and the spring isn't powerful enough to throw it more than 7 feet ... I know thic cus mine broke last month ... Shot across the room didn't stick into anything ... It is a very dangerous OTF spike

I have one it's awsome thought about taking back stop out so it will shoot but turns out that's illegal and you can be sent to prison for 10 years because it is considered a ballistic projectile so won't be doing that ... And y'all shouldn't either

IT'S NOT ILLEGAL! It's only illegal if it's a BLADE. This is a spike. Ballistic knives are illegal. A ballistic knife is a knife propelled by a spring or gas charge. This is a spike, not a blade, so it is not classified as a ballistic knife. Learn the facts before commenting.

@M4ST3RL1NKX88 Well the concealed carry permits I'm trying to fill out states that any object that is shot by gas or spring and separates from the handle is a balisticPROJECTILE. I know the facts because they don't have a string or wire connecting them . Any balistic knife is illegal if it doesn't have some means of being cone to the handle by string wire etc. I just doesn't pertain to knives. Most tasers

Most tasers are the same way the promgs shoot out and are conected by a wire take the wire away and its illegal. I hade to do a 12 page report on this in college and my teacher worked for the shriffs department said it is exactly correct but the laws don't stress spikes more than knives

Got one last week. No reason to own one ..... Cept they are SO COOL!! Very strong spring, locks really well. Have pushed it through alot of things sofar just to test the lock. Been wandering the house "snap...snap".

If you think "I have no reason to get one, but I want one because that looks cool". Go ahead and get it you will be glad you did :)
