  • im a united states marine and believe me the sacrifices of the fallen are always goin to b remembered. We honor every fallen hero, doesnt matter if ur in the air force, navy, army, or marines were all on the same team fighting for wat is right. im sry for ur pain, down inside i wish i could have taken their place but the only i can honor them is by fighting for them and finishing the job. Thank you everyone for everything u have done. It soon will b my turn to honor the fallen.

  • all i can say is that this video made me cry. its because my nephew and cousin both died in afghanistan and iraq just months apart. and seeing what they do is great but i miss them both too much already. !

  • to al those who have fallen may you rise up again to wake in a better place your job is done let us do our job now. hold the line guys ill be there soon

  • @chrisandormike nicely said!

  • my grand dad risked his life in Vietnam and no one gives a damn

  • @Noname2903 I would shake your grand dad's hand and tell him thank you for serving. I appreciate his service and sacrifice to our country. I'm glad you are proud of him...we are proud of him too.

  • @Noname2903

    People do care.

I would thank him for all he did and give him a hearty hand shake.

  • @Noname2903 you should be proud brother serving your country is the greastest honor! HOOAH!

  • @Noname2903

I grew up next door to a guy who died in Vietnam and although there were way too many people who scorned those troops, there were unseen millions who cared. Too bad the internet wasn't around back then because perhaps it would have been different. I can tell you that the treatment of those vets is, I believe, the reason that no warrior will ever again be treated so shabbily! You're a grandchild to be proud of. I thank your grand dad for his service and God bless him!

  • no sacrifice no victory

  • This video means alot to me. My grandpa was in the Army in World War II. I didn't know him well nor much about his service, but everytime I see videos like these I get chills and tear up a little. It's kind of like it feels like it's my calling. God Bless All of our Fallen Soldiers!

  • What a great comment! I appreciate you stopping by and sharing such a great story. Just remember to follow your heart and God bless you and your family. Never forget your grandpa--an American hero.

  • Have I told you lately just how proud of you I am.You are a very special son and I am very proud of you,and I love you very much.Have you heard Thor sing this?He is very good.I love it. Love you, MOM

  • Can't hear it enough...ha,ha,ha....I heard Thor sing it and he did an awesome job. I wish I had his voice so I could sing and play songs. Love ME...

  • This was a great tribute to our heroes. There has to be a special reward for them from their creator.I love this song and you play it so beautifully. What a gift you have.

     Love you, Mother Mary

  • Oh Mother Mary....God definitely blessed me with a great mom.

  • this is i great interpetation of the song,. bless all the familys affected,.

  • The soldiers and their families are close to my heart. It's hard to imagine the sacrifice they go through for freedom's sake.

  • Dead soldiers are loosers. They died...LOOSER!

  • Loosers???? You mean loser like you right! Our soldiers die protecting your freedom to write the nonsense you write and you call them losers...well, I guess we know where your brain is...maybe you should stop sitting on it for a while and start using it!

  • ur the loser...at least they were brave enough 2 risk their own life so u can stay free

  • Well said stiges94....well said.

  • I'm going to Arlington for my first time Thursday night. I'm sort of scared. Too many dead soldiers, and graveyards have always sort of overwhelmed me. :( It's a required trip, though. Definately gonna think of this video while there.

  • Arlington is such an amazing place to visit. You will definitely feel overwhelmed at the fact that so many have died for our freedoms. I wish I could visit with my trumpet and play TAPS for all the heroes that have given their lives for us. Send me an email and let me know how the visit was for you. Just know that when you are standing there that you are seeing those who gave their lives for a greater cause...freedom! Heroes they are and heroes they will always be! Take care.

    Matthew

  • I'm teaching myself 'My Heart Will Go On' by ear. It's such a great song, and it's awesome to hear somebody play it who can actually make decent sounds out of their bell!

  • I appreciate the great comment! This is one of my favorite videos that I put together....it definitely is close to my heart because of it's theme. This is one of my oldest daughters favorite songs that I play on trumpet.

  • Thank you so much for this video. My brother in law goes over to Iraq today Sept 11. please keep him in your prayers.

  • Thank you for the comment. Your brother in law will be in my families heart and prayers everyday. God bless you and your family. Let me know through personal email if my family can send anything to him through a care package...I'm sure my four children would love to send thank you letters.

  • My Dad served in the Green Beret. His military picture is the most handsome fellow I have ever seen in my life. He was a paratrooper. His fellow jumpers said that when he hit the ground after every jump, he would get shorter. They nicknamed him Stumpy. It stuck for the rest of his life. No one ever called him by is real name again.

  • What a great story. Thanks for sharing. A Green Beret and paratrooper....wow, that's amazing. That's funny my nickname in High School and College was stumpy, but it wasn't because of something as honorable as what your Dad did. It's because my last name is Stump.

  • Ok, I hope I did not say things wrong. My dad was in the military 40 some years ago. He entered at 17. He would do short stints in all different kinds of service while in the military. There will never be a guy I admire more. He had to leave school in 6th grade to support the family. Then he served the military. Then he married a single woman with 3 kids (my mom). He worked hard all his life. He bought and paid for a house & earned a pension. My mom lives comfortably.

  • No fault here my friend. You said everything perfectly...you have every reason to be proud. You dad is definitely an amazing story that should be shared about as often as you can tell it. Your dad is an American hero and he is well appreciated here as is your family. God bless.

  • I miss him so much.

  • YouTube should feature this video over the weekend. The servicemen and women are working hard. I don't care how anybody feels about the "politics" of war. They need our utmost support, concern and prayer. I have 3 generations of military personnel in my family. My niece just served in Afghanistan.

  • I am so glad you stopped by and shared such an awesome story of your family. Thank you and your family for the years of service and dedication to our country. And my utmost respect to your niece...seems lately that a lot of Americans forget that we have quite a few soldiers serving in Afghanistan still. God bless you and your family and God bless our military. I appreciate the comments and your wonderful story.

    Matthew

  • God bless our troops! That was lovely Matthew. My wife has given of herself to make two 12 foot banners with sewn on transfer photos of local military men and women, past and present. Each banner simply says, "Thank You". She displays these next to our flag in our yard from Memorial Day to Indepence Day. I know she will be as thankful to you as I am for your support of our military. Great video, awesome tribute, and musical perfection my friend.

    Blessings and love,

    ~Rob

  • I bet those banners are awesome! Our military is close to the heart of my family and we are constantly in prayer for them. I just wish more people really appreciated what our military does here and around the world. God has blessed us with such a great nation and for us to be able to free two countries like Iraq and Afghanistan should be praised by all, but instead we are ridiculed and our soldiers are called murderers....Thank God for our military and their willingness to serve. Thanks Rob

    Matt

  • Beautiful tribute

    Thank you Matthew

    God bless

  • Thanks Ben...

  • what a beautiful dedication video !

you play that trumpet so awesome, very touching !

  • I only wish I could play as well as you sing....thanks for the comment...by the way you inspired me to play this song after I heard you sing it...this is the first time I attempted to play "My Heart Will Go On"....

  • Thank you for ginving honor to our "fallen" heroes. The photos with the music enable us to remember, to thank God for all who have given the greatest sacrifice anyone can give, and that is their lives, for our country.

  • Thank you BeartheTruth...Every chance I get I shake a soldiers hand to let them know how much they are appreciated and loved. The fact that they sacrifice so much is so amazing...and my heart goes out to every one of them and their families. Take care and God bless.
