I notice that some trains with 2 or more engines, the last engine will have the headlight facing the back of the train on, but with a lower light setting. why is that? Even when there arent any other cars on the train, the last engine will still have the headlights on at the back of it.
@TheWaynelds That's a good question but I don't know the answer. I seem to see it most frequently on work trains like this or on trains that have work to do en route.
@Railrodder Well, the story was that they were lifting four CWR trainloads of rail in 2011, and they did so in August and September. If there are plans for 2012 yet, no one's talking!
@bradpville Do you mean 'revenue'? I think that was in April of 2009! As for the future, this gondola train will have to come south again of course, and there is talk of two more CWR trains going up in late August/early September to lift more rail.
I saw some of the work recently on a trip up to Sudbury. Very sad to see. Nice catch with this however since it'll be the last train on this section ever.
The story going around this day was that two more loads of rail will be lifted from the subdivision this year (total of four). The work will continue later in August when the two available CWR trains have delivered their loads in Saskatechewan and returned to Smiths Falls.
what is the horn of this locomotive ?
