  • who cares about their "beliefs"? it's irrelevant. facts aren't based on beliefs, it should be the other way around

  • It's not addictive.. ive tried it like 4 different times over the course of 8 years and every time its disgusting and I regret it. It's YOU.

  • its not addictive,, those pigs are right,, however its the hundreds of other cancer causing agents that also change the nicotine molecule and make it addictive,, smoke natural tobacco its much cleaner tastier and theres no dependence

  • as an ex smoker, i realise what a fucking clown i was. still am. quit smoking cold turkey a week ago.

it's aaaaalllll psychological. been a regular smoker since i was 13; i'm almost 21 now.

  • i believe i want to keep making money

  • A real conspiracy

  • Fucking whores.

  • "I don't believe bla bla bla..." That has got nothing to do with the truth -__-...

  • "I believe you all didn't come out your mother's womb but she actually shat you, and you all are indeed, a huge pile of shit."

  • yea i quit nearly cold turkey with lots of caffiene.

I filled the coffee filter all the way and had my eyes buggin out but I wasn't feigning for a cig. After the 4th day I filled the filter half full

  • lying sacks of shit. I'm on day 4 of not smoking and I just had a horrible crave episode. STill feeling a physical need for the drug.

No intoxication? Bullshit. What about the lightheadedness I felt when I first started.

  • @Fragem420 My sister was able to quit after 20+ years by taking the over-the-counter version of Wellbutrin. I think it's called bupropion? Anyway, she said it ended her nicotine cravings.

  • @nitejrny What country are you in? In the U.S. the makers of Welbutrin repackaged bupropion as "Zyban" as a quit-smoking aid, although chemically it is identical to Welbutrin as still requires a prescription. It's available over the counter anywhere in the U.S.

  • @Fragem420 you had light heddedness i have that wen ever i go fo a fag ive just started

  • @Fragem420

Actually a number of studies show nicotine is not addictive. These are not studies from the tobacco companies’ ether. They are from clinical researchers and professors, many of whom are anti-smoking advocates themselves. Studies have shown that a number of the chemical additives companies put in tobacco products are the actual cause of addiction. So actually these men were not lying.

  • I believe sun goes around earth....

  • que hijos de .....

  • nicotine is fucking addictive!!

  • I believe the only people who get addicted to this shit are the idiots who start a habit (any, wherether it brings pleasure or not), and can't stop because they got used to doing it all the time. It can happen with lots of non-drug habbits. It's an obsessive-complusive like thing. Me and most of my friends can smoke a cigarette or 2, or 3, and stop for a few weeks or months, and then smoke a pack, and stop. No problem and no cravings, no longing for smokes. Nicotine addiction is bullshit.

  • filhos da puta espero que queimem no inferno

  • you need some russian mafia methods here: "If u believe it's not addictive, then you take it daily for us to see". Put your money where your mouth is, or you ain't saying nothing.

  • @Gulegilly I did that with no problems. And I know others too. You people who think its addictive are morons. Drugs and activities are only psychologically addictive if they bring pleasure, and you miss the pleasure, and they're only physically addicting if you get negative physical symptoms when you stop. I had neither, and my friends who are the same age, and smoke socially, also have neither.

  • @mostliberal denial. I know for many who'd like to quit smoking, but can't. Not a matter of will anymore, but of addiction. Try not to smoke for any period of time then, say a month, if you think it's not addictive. You know, some alcoholics also say that alcohol is good for some organs, and that they drink because of that. Find it hard to believe in that. Not all people are able to admit they have a problem. But if it really works for you, I'm glad for you.

  • @Gulegilly It's not denial. I have hefty experience with cannabis, barbituates and caffeine, some experience with alcohol and nicotine too, and I've had amphetamine, methylphenidate, weak opiates, and benzo's a few times. Each one of those had either some euphoria, or withdrawl effects.... except for nicotine. With barbituates its insomnia as withdrawl. With caffeine its nausea, weakness, sleepiness and loss of appetite. With weed, you get withdrawal if you smoke all day for years.

  • @Gulegilly I've seen people addicted to nicotene free cigarettes. I've also seen that I, a non smoker, can smoke more hookah than smokers. How is that possible? I can't drink more than my drinking friends. My on stoner friends can't smoke more than my stoner friends. Also, even with high % nicotine tobacco, I can go for hours without getting a buzz, and that's after not touching any stuff for weeks. I can smoke 2-3 cigarettes in a row, and go for months without even considering having another.

  • @mostliberal Not everyone has the same tolerance levels or resistances to cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc... Scientific evidence proves the pharmacological effects of nicotine (and the other drugs you mention) and its ability to "hook" people, even if it's not *everyone*. You're not convincing me, and you're not convincing Jeffrey Wigand and all the other scientists, that nicotine is not addictive.

  • @SunDvl06 Hey guys, I partially take that back. But here's why: I recently tried smoking some organic tobacco out of a pipe, and that shit blew me and my friend's mind for a few minutes. It was 10 times stronger than hookah or cigarette smoking (and we tried both, and neither of us smokes even close to regularly or casually). So, my point is, in the case of smoking tobacco out of a pipe, and possibly with snuff and chewing tobacco... it is intense and addictive. But cigarettes n' hookah are weak

  • Ever heard of someone addicted to nicotine lozenges/patches?

  • @Stacc001 Of course! That's why people buy them. To get their nicotine fix without the carcinogins.

  • @Stacc001 Yes?

  • nicotine is not addictive. only the weak cant stop their stupid habit.

  • I'm Snow White: which one is Dopey? ;P

  • How did these guys sleep at night. How many are still alive I would like to know what they think now (asked the same question)

  • Wowwe

  • fucking bullshit it is u can expirence a withdraw within 30 minutes after your last cig don't believe me look it up then

  • @tubeboob999 Democrats are more honest? LOL? WEINER?

  • The last guy sounded weak, as if he knew deep inside that it was BS he was spouting. "Iii too belieeve.."

And "Classic definitions of addiction>" - like Aristotle's definition?

  • Only like the bumper sticker says, "When Clinton lied, nobody died." Can't say the same for these clowns.

  • This goes right along with another great quote of the '90's :

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman"

    hahahaha

  • Nicotine is not addictive. I've never seen anyone knock over a 7-11 for some Nicorette gum.

Many smokers definitely have a hard time quitting. It's also hard to quit nail biting and a lot of other behaviors once they become deeply engrained.

It's just politicized science that says it is addictive. The truth has long been lost under decades of bogus research. You can't trust most of the "science" on smoking, just like you can't trust science on saturated fat consumption and heart disease.

  • @jakeharvey hundreds of independent and peer reviewed research papers out there which refute your claim. Zero research papers out there which support your claim.

  • @jakeharvey They don't sell nicorette at 7-11 you idiot. If nicotine is not addictive then why on earth do nicorette and other non-cigarette nicotine delivery devices exist? Nail biting is not physically addictive. Cigarettes ARE.

  • @XgokkunX If 7/11 has stopped carrying it then I apologize. It is OTC.

Some people smoke nicotine free cigarettes for years. It's not the nicotine. Some people need their decaf every morning. Why? Because they're accustomed to it.

Do you have any idea how addictive nail biting is? The brain has reward mechanisms to reinforce repetitive behavior.

Only drama queens can't quit smoking. Anyone with a reasonable outlook will have a brief struggle followed by success.

  • And with nail biting, the difficulty comes from the fact that your nails are always there. Cigarettes can't make you buy them. If you don't have packs lying around it's a lot easier to resist.

  • that type writer sound effect is very annoying

  • These dwarves are the ultimate product of capatalism

  • Would YOU put your future in the hands of these Seven Dwarves? You do every time you light up !

  • Three year old kid knows Nicotine is addictive...it's not a philosophical debate, it's common sense. I don't know if it is as addictive as heroin though, I've never tried either, and I probably never will. These CEO are liars as we expect them to be... I see cigarette as a product, so is heroin, I against banning any of them. People should have their choice if they want to ruin their life, or living a healthy life. It's parents' responsibility to educate their children, not government's.

  • This isn't perjury. They had evidence that showed nicotine is addictive. They chose not to believe that evidence. That is their BELIEF

I have evidence that dinosaurs existed. I choose not to believe this evidence. Therefore I can testify that I do not believe dinosaurs existed.

  • LAND OF THE FREE??? Your GOVERNMENT controls everything you guys do...Dont drink, dont smoke, dont skateboard....HAHAA funny country

  • What a bunch of liars

  • These guys are the biggest addictive junkies of all. Ofcourse a addictive person doesn't admit he/she is addicted. They believe in a lie. Usually addicts only hurt themselves. The worst is that these bosses hurt theirselves and others, kill them, for MONEY. Be proud of that.

  • THIS IS GOOD AS MONTHY PYTHON....A FUCKING JOKE!! U.S.A GETS FUCKED IN THE ASS BY MONEY......CAPITALISM LOVE STORY.....HUGS AND KISSES....RAINBOWS, LOLLIPOPS....AND DWARVES.....SURREAL....WTF..

    LOL

    BTW. The Insider was great

  • We don't use that shit. We reserve that right to the young, the poor, the black and the stupid. - one of the seven dwarves

  • I hope these monsters have to watch their children die of cancer.

  • @crocfme That's a terrible thing to say - surely it should be them who should have to experience the pain of cancer rather than their children. Why punish their children for their ammoral/immoral behaviours?

  • Did you see that guy moving around in the background? He's addicted. He's looking for a pack. Also, it's easy to get off of cigarettes. You just don't smoke. Fuck...you keep saying 'I can't quit' and you won't. It's a mind over matter thing. GET. OVER. IT. Seventeen people like to die from cancer it seems, btw. =D

  • i AM RIGHT SO SUCK IT

  • I don't believe nicotine is addictive, I don't believe cocaine is addictive ether. I've smoked, I've done coke. I don't need ether of them, but to blame the nicotine for your choice is to remove all blame from yourself. You don't and never did "need" a cig, or a cup of coffee, or pot or ANYTHING. You need water, food and shelter. That is ALL of your NEEDS. There is no addiction unless you choose it.

  • @complicatedwishes BELIEVING IS KNOWING YOU FUCKING PEICE OF SHIT. FUCK YOU WORTHLESS JACKASS!!! BELIEIVING IS KNOWING YOU DIPSHIT!!!!!

  • @ROB6ZOMBIE666 - Hey, using CAPS and exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!! doesn't make you right.

  • @corebare HEY DUMBASS, USING CAPS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS ALWAYS MAKES ME RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM ALWAYS INFINITELY RIGHT WITHOUT THEM ANYWAYS YOU QUEER ASS SHIT HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! USING CAPS AND EXCLAMATIONS ALWAYS MAKES ME RIGHT. IM ALWAYS RIGHT NO MATTER WHAT!!!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!!!! USING CAPS AND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALWAYS MAKES ME RIGHT. YOUR SUCH AN IDIOT.WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM!

  • as an off and on smoker, i know it's addicting. I find myself wanting that one cigarette to either calm me, after a meal, or for pure enjoyment after a drink. BUT i will say, if someone doesn't really really, i mean really want to quit, it's going to be addictive. lol who am i kidding, i would smoke one right now if it was around me, cuz it's addictive ... lol dam you nicotine, why do you have to be a fix to me

  • i love to blow smoke in people faces!!!

  • RON WYDEN!! GO OREGON!!!

  • To be fair, it should be noted that the Surgeon General's 1964 report itself found that nicotine is not addictive, but rather, is habit forming. I believe that it was not until the Surgeon General changed the "classic definition" of "addiction" that it was found to meet the new definition. It looks like the RJR exec tried to explain this, but was cut off.

  • The anti nicotine guy sounds fucken retarded lol

  • I think there was a boy with asthma also spoke during these hearings. He told how the smoke from their products hurts his lungs - THESE CEO's are giving the kid "the evil eye". I can tell they want to strangle the kid.

  • lol wow nice one quoting the surgeon general from 1988 most highschool students know more about medicine then he did

  • Nicotine is not addictive IF you are in control of your conscious state of mind. Sadly this is not true for many. If you smoke in moderation and are not addicted to tobacco..then I applaud you.

  • They said "I believe that nicotine is not addictive" but what they really mean was "I believe money is really addictive"

  • They said "I believe that nicotine is not addictive" but what they really mean was "I believe money is really addictive"

  • I am a smoker and I am addicted. If I do not have a cigarette after I eat or after I wake up, I will feel irritated, unfocused, anxious and hyper until I can find a cigarette. Quitting is hard and I have tried several times. Because of this experience, I have easily said no to hard drugs that are considered addictive. I do not enjoy spending money all the time to smoke a cigarette.

MY ADVICE IS TO NEVER SMOKE THAT FIRST CIGARETTE. IT WILL TURN INTO A PACK AND YOU WILL BE HOOKED FOR LIFE!

  • @pokerlad32 It hasn't for me. I started smoking for 6 months, then put it down with no problem for 2 years. Picked em up again because I felt like it and I still don't feel addicted; in fact it's been a week since my last one.

  • They perjured themselves in front of congress and nothing happened to them. Their companies all had documents that said that nicotine was in fact addictive.

  • Just take snus. Fuck smoking.

  • @ShawnSamLeahUsername Nope, not one bit more healthy. I'm fine with it but just don't kid yourself into believing it's actually safer.

  • Bastards.

  • in my lifetime i've managed to give up coke, speed, marijuana and a 15yr bad habit on heroin, i'd love to stop smoking. some say it can be tougher than all the above. Makes me mad when i think about the cigarette sweets i used to buy when i was a kid. I don't know if they're still about?

  • @restlessrissole Go buy a copy of Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking book. Read it with an open mind and read it over two -three days. It will change the way you see smoking for ever. if it doesnt happen first time....read it again. Everything you need to quit smoking is there see allen carr dot com

  • There are many drugs out there that are illegal nicotine should be one of them. I spend about $6 a pack 3 pack aweek about $20 a week / $80 a month / and almost $1000 a year. I am paying these scum bags $1000 a year of my hard earned cash for them to distribute a drug to me that they assured the american public was non addictive. This is criminal and the fact that they can get away with it makes me sick. I don't care how hard it is any more. After watching the insider, and seeing how they

  • Nicotine is a highly addictive drug in fact more so addictive that anyother drug. My very first cigarette was at 11 years old. I only stopped smoking during my pregnancy's. I have tried numerous times to quite smoking but found it impossible. I am now 29 years old and have been a smoker for 18 years more than half my life. It is unacceptable to me that the tobacco companies are legally allowed to alter nicotine to make it more addictive.

  • Maybe smokers should go for... E-cigarettes?

  • i love to blow smoke in people faces

  • @bksinncc

I love to kill people, but todays society is so intolerant. ^^

  • 1 in 5 deaths in the US are the result of cigarette use. For perspective: Smoking cigarettes kills more Americans than alcohol, car accidents, suicide, AIDS, homicide, and illegal drugs combined. And it remains LEGAL!!! Wtf?

  • I believe nicotine is addictive. I also believe there's a massive list of the health problems smoking can cause including: cancer, heart disease, impotence, brain damage, dulled senses of taste and smell, Optic Neuropathy, high blood pressure, stroke, chronic bronchitis, Emphysema, gingivitus, Crohn's Disease, Influenza, TB, kidnet failure, aneurysms, ect. Tobacco use is responsible for nearly 1 in 5 deaths in the United States.

  • I believe that you guys are idiots.

  • "...and after this video, I too, believe that nicotine is not addictive"

  • Fuck these scumbag motherfuckers. Nicotine is the most addictive drug over cocaine and heroin. Their goal is to get kids to start smoking while raising the nicotine levels all the time to keep them hooked

  • The question should have been "do you know that nicotine is not addictive?" As opposed to "do you believe that nicotine is not addictive?"

Could have caught them with their pants down. Demonstrating knowledge is essentially a matter of fact. Demonstrating belief is a whole other matter. By changing that one word, these guys could have been charged with perjury.

  • I remember these morons! That was before the other shoe finally dropped and their own internal documents showed they had been lying for all those years.

  • I personally don't find them that addicting. I only smoke when I feel like it which is infrequently and I've always been that way.

  • @highervis I've noticed a trend: those who can spell say that they don't believe nicotine is addictive. Those who can't spell believe it is. Maybe there's a correlation like the smarter you are, the more you'll be able to control yourself.

  • at night, would you find yourself experiencing withdrawal, same as if you missed your daily sweet, or as my son found when he went off to camp the daily ritual of a nap after school. • BrtshAmerican6, I would have to concur with your reasoning, especially on the basis of nicotine and addiction. It's the buzz, the sensation (for lack of better terminology) which poses as addicting. A rebuttal to my argument would probably consist of "nicotine receptors develop in the brain after prolonged tobacco use"...well receptors develop in the brain for a lot of common household products, which I think we would all agree are not addictive. If you didn't drink your everyday beer (cont.)

  • When smoking was allowed in restaurants, I always wanted to bring an aerosol can of foul odor spray there, and point it at anyone smoking...because they were basically doing the same.

  • I believe that nicotine is addictive.

I believe these f'n bozos belong in prison.

i believe America allows wealthy criminals to keep cheating.

I believe the morons who are anti-govt health care are from the lunatic fringe...and it's long...fringe now.

I believe this is becoming one of the most corrupt, and dumbest nations on the planet.

I believe Republicans are liars because they just love their pill-popping, racist, radio junkie.

  • @tubeboob999

You have the right to believe what ever you want, it's in the Constitution.

I have that right as well.

    Asshole.

  • @tubeboob999 nopeeeee Republicans are are not LIars!!!

  • @tubeboob999 Fuck off.

  • @Galvahnize you fuck off.. have another cig.. keep your strength up

  • @HoustonTexas457000 Have a cig? Ew gross.

  • @tubeboob999 :D I believe that your right - and I'm addicted to that believe :D

  • @PNACATTACKdotCOM

That would be BELIEF, not believe, you idiot.

  • @tubeboob999

Your Democrat"ic" president has personally funded the tobacco industry for years, dumbass.

  • Why smoke cigarettes and die when you can toke as much as you want and fly?

  • "Nicotine content in cigarettes has slowly increased over the years, and one study found that there was an average increase of 1.6% per year between the years of 1998 and 2005"

  • In "The Insider" Russell Crowe mentions the 7 dwarves so I had to see for myself.

The US government has no right to tell people what to eat or drink or what to smoke.

  • THE INSIDER!

  • It is scientifically proven that nicotine is addictive, both physically and psychological. I use tobacco myself, and I do know that i am addicted. I feel bad in my entire body if i don't get my snus. (Snus is a tobacco product that you put under your upper lip, and is way better than smoking. The only thing that harms you from snus is the nicotine, and your lungs stay healthy.) too bad snus only exists in Scandinavia

  • @JesperNewspaper

they have snus here in the U.S. in every gas station.

  • So you can get it in the U.S. aswell?

That's great.. In a few years i can assure you that there will be almost no smokers, and lots of snusers.

  • Get an e-cigarette. I did. You can still have your nicotine, but not kill yourself.

  • @JesperNewspaper

You are WRONG. Nicotine itself is harmless, it is just very addictive. The tobbaco itself is what causes cancer, and the snuff you put in your mouth WILL cause mouth cancer. Don't fool yourself, it's just as bad as smoking.

  • The're not maane

  • It's not the nicotine that kills, it's the smoke.

  • @mongess no, its the chemicals in it

  • Your absolutely right! Thank goodness someone knows what they are talking about. Nicotine alone can be highly beneficial to one's health, while smoking is very detrimental to one's health.

  • i think you are wrong bud

  • Nicotine is related to niacin and nicotinic acid (Vitamin B). It naturally occurs in tobacco leaves as caffeine in coffee beans. It is a natural stimulant that acts upon the brains neurotransmitters, and long term exposure prevents agains Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Dementia. Obviously an overdose, as with caffeine, can cause fatal poisoning.

  • i have a question for you, are you or have you ever been a smoker?

  • I smoke the electronic cigarette. Prior to that I smoked tobacco cigarettes for 4 years.

  • oh yeah i know what they are, but i have not seen them in action, so i'm assuming you are smoking e's because you have a desire to quit?

  • Well, no, not exactly. Alot of people have the mis-conception that electronic cigarettes are smoking cessation aids, but they are not. They are intended to held you quit smoking tobacco, and provide a healthy alternative form of nicotine delivery for those who wish to continue smoking.

  • why look for an alternative such as e-cigs? there must have been a moment where you realized this stuff was harmful why not try to stop all together? but the problem now is you know the pleasure of smoking, it is really hard to quit man, ive been clean for 2 months but trust me the urge doesnt go away,,, and i think i just have to live with it.. i think im done with this habbit, try to quit cold turkey, there will be plenty of times you fail b4 your desire to quit takes over once in for all

  • So is tobacco. And marijuana actually contains more tar than tobacco.

  • Untrue. Show reliable proof.

  • ok, so I have to say, Imight be retarded, but I dont beleive nicotine is not addictive, its effects are. the buzz that people get keeps them hoked cuz they wanna feel it over and over, and also because some people get headaches thinkin of that drug all the time. I dont beleive its the nicotine, I beleive its the drug itself and its affects.

  • I think you mean to say "I believe TOBACCO is not addictive, but the drug naturally found in tobacco, known as nicotine, is." Nicotine is to the tobacco leave, as cocaine is to the coca leaf. They are inseparable. These hearings were about cigarette companies chemically & genetically enhancing nicotine levels in tobacco for decades to intensify its addictive effects. The only reason the CEOs say they don't believe nicotine is addictive is because they don't want to be held liable for damages.

  • that is more than true, thx :)

  • @BrtshAmerican6 are you mental? did you really say that as a belief. WOW please get an education.

  • @robdmhaze yea I did lol. sorry bout that. I snapped out of it this past year since I posted that

  • @BrtshAmerican6 sweet good to hear, i didnt mean to be rude inncomment now nthat i look back. :)

  • @robdmhaze lol its all good. Still trying to quit myself, but o well. Somehow I'll get there

  • Comment removed

  • @420Sheffield420 welcome to my life, but honestly the government has too much say in technical aspects of life. it is addicting, completely agreed.

  • @BrtshAmerican6 you're not retarded... you just don't smoke....

  • @notxursuperman I do smoke...

  • skooterkid is flute playing homo

  • Dont tell me I dont know what im talking about, you dont know what your talking about. All you know is what youve seen in government anti smoking propaganda.

  • WOOT FOR CIGARETTE BANS EVERYWHERE!!

  • Yeh, lets celebrate the fact we have less rites now

  • and I said it is up to the person, but how many people get have an exhaust pipe in there houses next to their wifes? Secondly, its not that people are really trying to make it illegal, because people are always going to do things that are bad for them, but they are more trying to encourage people never to start. Please don't respond anymore, I am not going to waste any more time. take care.

  • and fuckheads like you are on the "m killing you with my cigarette"when i bet you couldn't even smell the damn thing. You just don't like anyone having a good time doing something you don't like when it reallly doesn't affect you.fuck off nosy prick i hope you get a tumor from your cell phone

  • I didn't say that you thought smoking was safe.I was saying that if anyone claims that they didnt know smoking was bad because of what these tobacco companies say, they are eitrher stupid or liars.and what i mean by freedom is the choice to do what i want to MYSELF...if you believe all the second hand smoke bs and that a child ever died from cigarrettes(it takes 20,30 or 40 years to get lung cancer from smoking)then your a fuckin liar or stupid too. They're banning cigarettes outside for fuck sake

  • If you smoke your a fucking idiot, end of discussion.

  • Bullshit,I can smoke for 10-15 years and quit and be fine, its a great stress relief.

  • there you go nicotine is not addictive

  • hey if u wanna be unsober jst smoke budd..the feeling is nice n no hanovers n its better for ur body thn n e thing else..specially ciggs..

  • i think people become addicted after smokin them for a while cuz they get used to smokin a cigg but not cuz their addicted to the nicotine..cuz i used to smoke ciggs but i wasnt addictd i jst got used to havin one in my hand n it was weird if i didnt have one but i didnt even like em..i would jst smoke em to boost up my marijuana high..i mean ciggs taste nasty.but we do all have diffrnt intrest but still..if ur gonna smoke smoke marijuana its better thn ciggs n less worst.

  • first of all, why do people start smoking? They aren't addicted they don't need it. I honestly think people start just so they can feel "cool" in front of other kids and then they get addicted. It's a waste of money. Driving cars is necessary to get from place to place, sure there are accidents but it's not a drug. drinking is useless too, again a lot of people start drinking because everyone does.. It's not needed.

  • Im sorry but driving isnt needed at all, not when public transport is in place, it really makes me laugh when people point out how smoking harms people around you when in reality its more unhealthy to stand next to a BBQ, but people claim driving is harmless what its killing the earth, killing the earth! We all know it, you just choose to put it at the back of your mind .And yet you still sit proudly on your high house when you talk down at smokers. takes the piss

  • okay you just said "driving isn't needed at all, not when public transportation is in place" How does the public transportation work? Someone is driving it. Driving is a necessity. smoking isn't. Sure people say it calms them and stuff, but cmon, why start something you never needed to begin with. It's your choice, I am not saying NO don't smoke. but I will say I think that if you are a pregnant mother you should definately not smoke.

  • I would LOVE to see the look on your face if you look up what exhaust fumes do to pregnant women, also if everyone used public transport then you wouldnt need cars, driving isnt necessary when you can use a bus. And yes I know a bus needs a driver you retard but 1 driver is better than 30 drivers.

Also if you dont have a stressful job then whatever, dont smoke, some people need a little stress relief from time to time.

  • Okay buddy, How about YOU be clear. Youre calling me a retard? I said that driving is a necessity, I didn't say everyone driving is better that one driver. cmon use a little common sense, the bus driver is still driving, driving is a necessity. look at this, you are more willing to give up the luxury of cars, than the pass time of inhaling smoke that only makes you feel good for a few seconds? Second hand smoke too. Smoking is selfish when it effects your children. ..

  • haha I dont even smoke, this film was made a long time ago, back when the dangers of smoking where not as clear as they are today. Oh btw maybe you should quit driving, coz that kill a hell of a lot of people every day, and while your at it quit drinking and eating fast food. Eventually the government will do to alcohol what they did to smoking, its already started in Scotland, and its douche bags like you that are just letting it happen, your not awake my friend, your fast asleep.

  • The dangers were clear since somewhere in the 50's if I am not mistaken.

I guess people just didn't care, as it was such a normal habit back then.

  • It was glorified back then. All the most glamorous and highest class people smoked. :/

  • these men are certainly not heroes, they are denying a scientific fact and they are denying, that they are deliberately killing people for money, sure, everybody should have the choice to do as they wish but denying an undeniable scientific fact is as bad as denying the holocaust, come to think of it, the probably killed more people than the nazis
