I can recall seeing this fellow's face all over during his tragically short career arc. His "Voyagers" was a staple of early Saturday morning TV well after his passing. It's sad beyond description Jon-Erik's life being cut so short. We were age contemporaries and I think of all of the living I've done between now and that fateful day in October of 1984.
I had the biggest crush on him as a kid. And remember when he died. He was so incredibly beautiful and handsome (male) at the same time. Such a great loss.
What a neat idea for a video. I know remember his character and smile and laughter. There was so much more to him than just "great looks". Part of it was his candiness with roles and humour.
Whoops, I posted under the other channel again, but yeah, Voyagersguidebook feels exactly the same way! haha. This was a one in a million perfect choice for MM.
Okay, I'm doing chores and playing this song and I just had to gravitate to this video again. Now they are forever interchangeable, my sister says she thinks of beauty pageants when she hears it, I think of Tyler Burnett! :D
What a great tribute!!! Truly excellent job.. I love how you chose the last scene in the movie where Tyler rides off into the sunset as the last clip of your video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your nice comment. I liked the positive message of that last scene - in contrast to the depressing undertone of the movie. I'm glad you enjoy it.
Thanks. I like the way how Jon-Erik acted completely straight in that somehow cheesy plot. It's a pity his character is sad and depressed most of the time ;)
Yeah, both Jon and Jeff Conway made Shakespeare out of this cheese factory!:) Too bad Tyler was surrounded by opportunists and phonies. And they all looked alike with those sappy eyes and bleached blonde hair, blah! If I HAD to pick out of this BUNCH, I liked the girl with the orange on his first modeling shoot, LOL. All he wanted was a wife and ten kids on the ranch! Is that too much to ask??? LOL. Oh, Tyler would eventually find that special gal and be happy again.:)

was there a more attractive man alive in the 1980s? I don't think so.

I remember him well. I had friends that knew him and said he was a truly great guy. He's a real 10, and those are few.

I'm not surprised your sisters thinks that. It was the song that was played during the beauty contest finale in Miss Congeniality ;)
Glad I could convince you to associate it with MM ;))

This song is growing on me so much, roflol. You gotta love when he slips in the restaurant, that had to be unscripted! haha.

You're right. If it was unscripted I'm glad they kept the scene that way. It's a nice touch.

Great job on this video! Nice pick of clips to use from the movie. Nice job!

Thank you! I felt that most of these clips were key scenes in the plot, so I used them despite the depressing undertone. I'm glad you like it.
