@0SxK0 Maybe because you've putted a value that's bigger than maximum at the minimum. Check again. Maximum must be higher than Minimum if you're rendering VBR.
when i follow your guide it gets HELL alot better!! thanks but when i type 23.000.000 (thats about what my cam does) it changes back into 20.000.000 becuase that the max? i have sony vegas pro 10
mine was 15 min of killing floor and its rendered in these settings, and it rendered as 70 gb!!!!!!. I use fraps to record, and the trial version of this to render. so far i am not convinced this is good software pls help! Im getting really pissed off cause i hav a decent fan base waiting for vids..PLS HELP :)
@RYOsmizHI4 You don't have to render uncompressed all the time. you only render uncompressed when you need to render portions of video for transfer with other workstations for edits because that is the only way to keep the quality. but when rendering for final output, you always need to compress the video. Stick with presets first and get used with rendering.
When I render my video, either with these settings or not, all I get is a 7-8 sec long black clip with the music but no video. And the actuall clip is 3.15min. Why is this?!?
@AirsoftJOSS I'm not sure if anyone's helped you, but the yellow selectors at the top of the track area need to encompass the whole project. You probably only had a 7-8 section of black. Maybe?
Cheers for the reply! No, I still can't figure it out.. :/ Nono, I know all that basic stuff. I think it has to do with me putting in the wrong numbers in some settings..
However, I found a HD format I could render in, so I guess I'll just live with that :P
i have found that H.264 is the best encoding for youtube as it is what yt compresses to by default, therefore in compression there is very little loss in quality bitrate around 13-14 million bps it renders mad quick aswell you should try them
@thatniggbeme7 there is 2 solutions, mainconcept avc mp4 at high bitrate is considered h.264 by youtube for some reason, the other way is to render uncompressed avi then using easy h.264, this makes for the best possible quality, and answer to the uncompressed, you should render as avi and set the codec to none keep the res the same as project or original footage and then either import into other programs or use easy H.264. Hope I helped.
@thatniggbeme7 when you go to render select avi format and the uncompressed template, if you have your project set to 29.97 fps 1280x720 and 32 floating bit depth the uncompressed should render with those, this will give your great but very large file sizes to then edit in another program such as after effects. Then you should do a final render of all clips that were edited. If you nare still confused or have any questions i can always help, if you ahve skype you can add me mine is: visionzz
What bitrate should I render a 720p video for youtube for best quality? Since youtube only supports around 6,000,000kbps right? So I might as well render my video at 10,000,000kbps?
@ChrisNineteenNinety higher bit rate does not only mean higher quality. you can never make an image look better. if ur camera records in 20mb/s, thats the maximum you can go. if you go above 20mb/s, its only waste of memory you will be taking. the best option of rendering i suggest is to render uncompressed
Great tutorial, however, in Vegas it does not allow me to set the bit rate higher than 20,000,000. I type a higher number and it drops back down to 20,000,000 on its own. The little drop down menu on that bit rate setting only shows 20,000,000 as its highest number. This is in the Sony MP4 render option at 720p 24fps in Sony Vegas pro 10, using Canon EOS 60D shot in 1080p 24fps. What gives? There's a hole in your threory. WHAT DO I DO?!!!!! PS: Why so stressful?
@wondnaereh it does go higher then 20,000,000 if it is on mpeg-2. and you sure u chose MB? and it really depends, since you understand how bit rate works, do some trials and errors.
Nice tutorial, for the Canon 550D/T2i I found that a good way to render unconverted MOV files is using Main Stream AAV/AAC codec but the bitrate goes up to 240 mb/s. What do you thing about using this codec with the T2i, and what about the bitrate? Thanks!
@LJtutorials I tried using this mpeg streamclip but does that mean I have to match media settings with the raw file or with this new converted file? Great tutorial btw thanks sooo much!
what settings should I use to render for offline projects?... can't find it anywere! Like I have a big lcd and with usb.
Hope to hear from you!
