To be honest Verizon is the better carrier for the iphone IMO. I know for a fact that the AT&T network is faster than Verizon's, but Verizon's network is a more reliable connection. I have done research and because Verizon's network doesn't allow data and voice simultaneously the call quality is much better. AT&T's simultaneous voice and data affects the network a great amount. AT&T has a lot of customers that do that and it affects call quality, which affects your chances of dropping a call

Apple thinks they "proved" that other phones do this, but I own one of the phones they "proved" this with, and I can't recreate their claim. I've also seen other videos of people trying to recreate it, and they can't either. I know others with this phone who can't recreate it as well. Apple fucked up, but won't admit it.
That was horrible. You said some things that would have people that don't know better sounding like retards. They didn't move the antenna on the Verizon iPhone because of the attenuation issue it was because of a difference in technologies GSM v CDMA.
And the speed test, it wasn't faster when you reloaded Phonedog because your hand wasn't on the antenna, it was because the website was still in the cache/cookies/history from the previous load.
Not to completely down on the iPhone as I had 5 of them (thanks a lot AT&T), but my Sprint HTC Evo 4G on 3G service hit the same page (phonedog.com) in 5 seconds and in 1 second on 4G. Just some fun facts! :)

No, its not. You can't use the same design of antenna on a GSM network, like AT&T, as you can on a CDMA network, like Verizon. There was never any intention to fix the antenna issue, as it rarely shows itself in normal use.

This verizon vs. Att crap really bugs me. Why does it matter? If you have Att, Congrats. If you have verizon, Congrats. If you have the phone carrier you prefer then what's the point of fighting with others about it?! be the bigger person and just keep your fucking comments to yourself.

The antenna re-design was to support the CDMA Verizon uses not to fix the "Death grip". Everyone should use a case anyway, plus it's nothing new and any buyer should know already about the problem.

also you will find that vzw will still sell more droids then the iphone. When you consider droid has been out far less then the iphone and has allready surpassed its sales numbers. And forget about windows phone 7 too little too late for MS.

Its called both are using different DNS servers and different providers for the back haul.
Yes you can take your vzw iphone to sprint but you would have to clone a sprint phones esn over to the vzw iphone. Only a matter of time before these start flooding craigs list flashed to cricket as cricket is the only provider that lets any cdma phone on their network.

Ok, so Apple already stated AND reiterated that what people perceive as a "problem" with the antenna is NOT a problem, but normal signal loss from covering parts or most of the phone, SIMILAR (as they proofed with other phones) to what happens to others. Meaning there is NOTHING TO FIX, and the redesign of the antenna notches was NOT to "fix the antenna problem" but adjustment to its internal components being shifted.

@darovids Find me any other phone with such a horribly placed antenna that holding the phone in a normal position to talk (like in your left hand) can potentially drop the call. Apple thinks they "proved" that other phones do this, but I own one of the phones they "proved" this with, and I can't recreate their claim. I've also seen other videos of people trying to recreate it, and they can't either. I know others with this phone who can't recreate it as well. Apple fucked up, but won't admit it.

That was horrible. You said some things that would have people that don't know better sounding like retards. They didn't move the antenna on the Verizon iPhone because of the attenuation issue it was because of a difference in technologies GSM v CDMA.
And the speed test, it wasn't faster when you reloaded Phonedog because your hand wasn't on the antenna, it was because the website was still in the cache/cookies/history from the previous load.

Not to completely down on the iPhone as I had 5 of them (thanks a lot AT&T), but my Sprint HTC Evo 4G on 3G service hit the same page (phonedog.com) in 5 seconds and in 1 second on 4G. Just some fun facts! :)

Mine loses signal when I hold it like a normal person in my left hand. This is easily as bad as the AT&T version, we should demand our free bumpers.
