@MusstacGaming I'm not going to google this shit and pretend to know exact figures, but I do know my stuff.....I would say the cars are about the 700kg and about 500bhp for rally cross...but...if they were rallying back in the mad group B days the cars would of been pushing over 700bhp before they were banned due to spectators, drivers and co drivers being killed because of the lack of regulations and the engineers being left alone to produce these monster cars. Good old days...lol.

@serchmarc European Rallycross was and still is one of the most competitive and unspoilt race series around. Even now they run 600 restricted bhp and do 2 seconds to 60. Most other racing has been ruined by bigger restrictions. I would agree that an RS200 shouldn't be treated like tis, but this was 20 years ago. The group b cars had just been banned from rallying and the only place to use them was in unrestricted rallycross. They werebt worth any kind of money back then

And just to make sure everybody understands - these cars in this video weren`t destroyed and thrown away after this race. They were just repaired for the next battle.

Sure these examples that got involved in rallycross don`t have much of the original car left, as they were rebuilt, and then rebuilt, and then rebuilt again. But thats the way it tends to go with rallying as well - even historic rallying when it`s seriously competitive...The cycle for rebuilts was just slightly speeded up here :)

Come on people, rallycross was great entertainment in the late 80`s. IMO it was great to see these cars getting some use in high profile motorsport, instead of declining just for club level rallying, rallysprints and as trackday-toys. Nothing wrong with those jobs either, but IMO these cars deserved to shine in the spotlight for a while longer than the short international rallying period they got. Especially RS200, which just about missed the whole rallying fun.
