  • spectralert chine.. i've never hearda spectralert make that noise b4

  • im so sorry this happened

  • @ventures58 The elevators go down a programmed "Recall" floor (usually the first floor) and then the door opens and it will stay that way until it and the fire alarm system have been reset.

  • Is that a secteralert CLASIC SPEAKER STROBE!?

  • You hear that! They are "sorry" for your inconvenience. Or are they..........

  • I did not realize that hotel rooms had a PA system.

  • @gallagher123123 They don't that fire alarm system is a voice evacuation system. The lady just went to the panel and used the microphone which is why you hear the "BONG!" before she starts doing the first announcement.

  • That's not a very good fire alarm.

  • WOW LoMa Thats was so weird but soo sweet! Howd u do that??

  • XD this is 2 funny!!

"If their's a fire out in the parking lot... We die"

    XD

  • why is no one leaving?

  • @canadiancatgreen They are on one of the standby floors if you hear the lady she says that only the basement, ground floor, and second floor people have to leave

  • @Gb755c oh ok I had no sound on the first time I played it I get it now so what floor are you on and what was the end result

  • @canadiancatgreen You might want to ask the end result question and the floor as a general comment. I wasn't there I just know a lot about fire alarms from both helping my dad test the ones at his old job and from what I've learned on here.

  • Ouch! When I was staying at a hotel around where my aunt and cousins lived, the fire alarms went off one morning, only thing was that it was during breakfast. The worst part was that they were the ear-splitting System Sensor alarms (which name I can't spell X_X). I had to cover my ears.

  • @DeadRaymanWalking You are referring to the SpectrAlert line of fire alarms

  • @Gb755c Thank you, I didn't remember what fire alarm it was.

  • 1. take your fist

    2. SLAM THAT THING

    3. go back to sleep!

  • the slow beep ment alert telling people to get ready to evacuate if need be if that floor need to be evacuated(that sounds to me like a simplex system soo..) you would of herd a really deep slow whoop which is impossible to ignore

  • "... the alarm you just heard originates from the late 1980's when this hotel was first built by its founder mr. super 8 ..." jk... LOL sounds like the lady talking just finished her job as a tour guide!

  • What floor are you on? Anyway...the slow beep I think is just because the panel had you on supervisory... =D

  • that is weird

  • If you know there's no fire or threat, temporally un-wire the thing , its only 24v

  • @elliottveares heyy elliott i dident know u wern into americaan fire alarms too!! heyy can you PM me when you get this??

  • Sounds like a Voice Evac System. In other words, it was probably one of the hotel employees talking through the speaker itself.

  • @mtlproductions1 noo?? what else could it be??

  • FCI Spectralert Classics in Single Chime.

  • The lady making the announcement said that all occupants on the ground, base, ent and 2nd were required to evac they probably were on one of the the non-fire floors so maybe that's why the alarm was doing that one beep. If their room had been on one of the fire floors maybe it makes a different sound and plays a message.

  • ha ha funy

  • what the hell were you doing in the hotel room when you should have been getting out

  • Cameraman: You turned off the light and it quit.

Tired teenager: You're kidding me. That's a miracle!

    Me: LMAO

  • @davidworx I laughed too. If that was me holding the camera and you who turned off the light, I'd say, "What are you, some kind of fire alarm wizard?"

  • @LIGHTNinja3U It is considered a part of standard procedure to tell people on the upper floors to stay put until further notice. With enough emergency exits, escape planes, fire-retardant insulation, fire sprinklers, etc, "high rise" fires are easy to survive.

  • Most fire alarms in places like hotels are false, but you can NEVER be too careful with toxic smoke.

  • It does, doesn't it Tillie?

  • Seems like a nice hotel.

  • what hotel?

  • WTF

  • Now it's 3 AM so I stayed up almost the whole night

  • That looks like a SpectrAlert classic, but the speaker must have some how been behind the wall, because it is too small to have the speaker in the unit.

  • @TssCman123 No the strobe looks too small for it to be a SpectrAlert. Usually the spectrAlerts have a big strobe on the bottom and the speaker versions usually have the speaker on one side with the same size strobe on the other side of it.

  • what sort of alarm is that

  • I wish that ALL fire alarms sounded like this one!!! This one is NOT too loud and is NOT too quit!!! It is just right, for me!!! I HATE loud fire alarms!!! I love this one, because it is NOT loud!!!

  • @2625191514 Agreed I would probably sleep through it...

  • SpecctrAlert

  • @phillies4100 Yup its a specter alert.

  • I'd rather be woken up by the woman who says "HOUSE KEEPING"

  • they need something like this where someone can speak on the fire alarm system at schools I think

  • I wonder if someone pulled a false alarm in the hotel? Possibly. Also which hotel was this?

  • someones having a rave with the whole hotel! hahahaha

  • Looks like a SpectrAlert classic.

  • Luckily the entire building didnt have to evacuate. It happened to my sister in Boston one weekend. The fire alarm went off as they were going to sleep but turns out it was no fire.

  • @MrWill1985 lolz the same thing happened to us in Boston 10 years back. But it was some stupid teens messing around in the halls at 2 AM and thought it would be funny to pull the fire alarm.

  • @italianman1992 Was this the Comfort Inn? Thats where my sister and her husband stayed when that happened in Boston. So far it never happened to me in a hotel. If it does Im definetely grabbing my car keys prior to evacuating incase of inclement weather I can just sit in the car til its safe to go back in the hotel. And so far I dont think there were situations with hotels where teh fire alarm went off and no one left the building. Thats common with many public buildings now days.

  • @MrWill1985 no this was a Holiday Inn

  • You're cute!

  • is there a real fire?

  • what floor where you guys on

  • wow

  • did you ever find out why it did that? what happened?

  • This video is the best.

  • Ours just went off here to for nothing

  • I never knew hotel rooms even had the strobe lights. I stayed in 2 hotels with up to date fire alarm systems and they had a small fire alarm speaker in the room and all strobes were outside of the room. And before I noticed that I thought hotels with up to date fire alarms had strobes alone in the rooms and the sound devices out in the hallways.

  • Wow, that sucks for you guys.

  • Turn off the light and the alarms stop, wow you must have the magic touch! lol

  • if that happened to me i would of tried to put something thick of the speaker of the alarm so it would be a little quieter and put some tape over the strobe

  • Is the announcement being announced from the voice evacuation panel by recording or live announcement through PA system?

  • @tpirman1982 Some fire alarm systems have what is called a manual evac and even the voice evac systems have a mic that someone can use which bypasses the recording it sounds like this hotel has a manual evac system and considering it was only doing one beep like that it could be a two stage system if the alarm had continued to go off for a set amount of time or if someone manually switched it with a GA Key, it would've gone into second stage which is usually march time.

  • @tpirman1982 pa system

  • is it a drill

  • FIRE FIRE FIRE

  • u look pissed off

  • @joeterry162 He is XD

  • Thats what she said... Hahaha

  • i wouldve broke that fuckin thing. fuck that

  • Happened to me once.

We were all asleep and suddenly BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! A fire has been detected in the building! BEEP!

Apparently they were doing construction which set off the fire alarm. Fire trucks took 30 minutes

  • Like the lady said the elevators are not operational during the alarm in 90% of the facilities the elevator is tied into the fire alarm when the alarm is triggered, the elevator proceeds to a designated floor (usually the lobby) then the doors open and it goes into a recall mode where the doors remain open and it will not operate until both it and the fire alarm system havge been reset. If you see instructions in an elevator that say "Fireman recall/bypass etc the elevator is setup that way

  • Its just a thing they use.

If there was a real fire u wouldnt because of the fire might snap the wire in the elavator and you might die.

ordipends how hard you fall down when the fire snaps the elavator

  • @ventures58 The elevator goes more slow than normal walking and the cables might be on fire in the elervator and youl be stuck and left to die Plus if you ring the alarm no one will be there to help you.

  • what was 1:13 all about?

  • i wouldnt of woke up wirth the siren but i would with the women speaking L0L

  • that is fuck up

  • it looks like a true-alert exterior

  • The alarm is synced.

  • Isn't*

  • lol

  • I'd been out that building by now.

  • The fire alarm does the beeping and it does its beepin

  • What kind of fire alarm is that?

  • Looks like a spector alert? But it probably isn't

  • Unless they found a way to make a spectrAlert do a single beep I doubt it plus the lady making the announcement overrides the beeping so it's some sort of speaker/strobe but apparently the hotel doesn't have a voice evac system just a way for YOU to be the voice evac

  • I love quit fire alarms! I do not, I repeat, I do not like loud fire alarms! I like fire alarms just like this one!

  • That ones that have voice evac usually only make the sound for a set round of code 3 and then play the message and start over

  • You are probably right. It isn't a voice evac system. The strobe light just looked like a specter alert strobe. The casing looks like the specter alert but the coding of it wouldn't go well with specter alerts. My only other conclusion is that is a custom made alarm with a over ride button.

  • FIRE?

  • When he turned off the lights it is like they entered the Twilight Zone

  • I guess lol.

  • @zachray263 I know right

  • That's a really annoying alarm. The beeping is way to slow lol. Strobe lights in hotel rooms are seizure waiting to happen.

  • but its better then a buzzer going off in your ear

  • That's true. Imagine a Wheelock 7002t in that room.

  • @trevordon1021 They have to have strobes that is a requirement of the Americans with Disabilities Act so that deaf people know what's going on

  • @trevordon1021 same in schools

  • @trevordon1021 I've heard way more annoying alarms than that!

  • @trevordon1021 well thats not true if there ada strobes

  • hey u no, they look like system sesor classic...

  • that alarm is crap they should get a louder one

  • and u who video taped this thought u guys made the alarm turn off. but it was maintence lol

  • haha kenny is hilarious! he turns off the light and it just stops - "It's a miracle!"

  • HAHA "We'll see you if there's a fire"

    :D

  • I love matt's face, standing there like half alseep :) poor guy!

  • Oh! False alarm. Thank God it was only false alarm, but I would have just ran away if I heard the alarm!

  • The packing tape and towels might work if all the alarm did was beep like that one but if it's a continuous blast or some other shrill noise probably wouldn't help lol

  • What floor were you guys on?

  • what hotel was it?

  • Well, would you really want to sleep in the event of a "problem"?

  • i would faint too

  • wow that really does stink a lot. I definitely would have reacted in a not so calm manner <_<

  • hmm not how u wanna be woken up at that time in the morning, yeh like that happend that to me once 2 years ago

  • The strobe (aka the flashing light) actually stopped flashing before the beeping stopped.

  • Kenny is always the man! Can you change the TV channels by blinking, too??

  • i feel so sorry for yall. poor matt was, like, asleep while standing up!

  • Kenny, you saved the night!

  • nice job, kenny!! haha

  • i forgot where i was but the fire alarm was going off for no reason. it looked like that one.

we taped a towel over it with packaging tape to muffle the sound.

    it worked.

    :)

  • I still think kenny stopped the fire alarm by turning off the light...

  • what can i say

  • Haha you poor guys!

  • unlucky :P

happened to me during an exam :S

  • ouch.
