The gent in the hi-viz has as much right to be there as you have on the road bridge. At the gcr would you move out of the way for someone without a lineside pass?,i doubt it .Time to put and shut up.
There is little chance of an ordinary photographer having such a pass on the mainline!
Not disputing the gent had the right to be there - he was standing on the public crossing. My point is he was wearing hi-viz unnecessarily and thereby damaging 20 peoples' shots. He was either arrogant in regarding his requirements as more important than the other 20, or merely inconsiderate. Your remarks on the attitude of l/side passholders seem more illustrative of your own attitudes that that of others.
Mate,That Bloke Was Ruining Anybody Shots. He Can Stand There All He Likes. He Might Be A Network Rail Man? Who Knows? At The End Of The Day Be Thankfull That You Have Seen A Brit On The Mainline.
He wasn't working - too old! -and he left as soon as the train had gone. The consensus view on the bridge was that he had compromised their shots. He was a tad thoughtless.
the gent in the hi-viz is a complete prat!!!
