Im sixteen and still feel pain steming from the last time i had it, which was five years ago. Like you my illness has no cure. the only true difference is that you are older than me.

@Haleymyname No I get it, I have an incurable skin disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa which prevents me from living normally. I am blessed to have a lower form of it that does not take as much control over my life as it does over some. I will never take anything experimental that would get rid of it in my life as I feel the risks are way worse than having to live my life a little differently.

my Aunt has what his wife had, its sad that people have to go though the pain of there body killing its self. it also hurt yourself and people around the person who has it i almost hurts as badly knowing a loved one is being ate up by itself and you can't do anything about it but watch as every night they wake up sreaming and crying because it hurts so bad, and all you can do is tell them your there and hope it ends soon, and the pain won't taunt them any more, good song by the way

I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus with neurological complications this week. I keep watching this video and crying. it's so unbelievably accurate for what my husband I are going though. What an amazing man Rob Thomas is.

Guys and Girls, Rob Thomas did in fact wrote the song about his wife having lupus and her battle with it. Just like "3am" was about his mom having cancer. Rob Thomas said that's what makes his songs so special is that they're universal and you can apply your own interpretations.

Yes it's Alicia Silverstone. Rob wrote the song because his wife has Lupis (A very painful illness) and he needed a way to express what he was feeling while she was going through all the pain and depression she experienced.

She's frozen because this video is almost a perfect representation of what it feels like to be depressed. You're frozen, you feel like you can't move, and you don't care, and the night is the worst. In my 'oh so humble' opinion ;) this video is BRILLIANT! Thanks for putting it up. :)

@yarrielle rob thomas' wife has lupus. depression is part of it. but this song is definitely just for the lupus. most ppl don't understand what it is like to have it. very painful, very scary. it's literally your body trying to destroy it's own organs. they have a special charity set up for research to find a cure. since there is no cure now. i have lupus and this song pretty much describes it, when nothing else does. it's extremely painful and hard to deal with. this song is dedicated to her.
