Hey...they have held up great for me and work very well for the hot foods. Set includes 6 fl. oz. cup and 16 fl. oz. bowl; cup and bowl nest together..Thanks for watching
@ jimgam730 it will hold a Klean canteen 40 oz bottle with the glacier nesting cup with more room to spare than his cook kit setup. That's what I use in mine! I hope this helps
TacTies will work but the best I found are the malice clips... which hold it much tighter and add more rigidity to anything you attach...Thanks for watching and the comments..
Nice review. What is the best way to attach this to a Malaga or lunda? Will the straps on the back be used for attachment or do you need the tac ties? Thanks and great review.
WormyGames ...Sorry I just don't know...best suggestion is take your measurements of your bottle and go to the maxpedition site and get the measurements on the 12 x 5...Good luck !
I THINK A REALLY GOOD I DEA I GOT WAS I FITTED THE BAG WITH 550 PARACORD PULLED IT OUT THRU THE BOTTOM HOLE AND ATTACHED A CLIMBING LOCKING CARABINER KINDA LIKE AN EMERGENCY ROPE BAG JUST ATTACH THE CARABINER TO YOUR RIGERS BELT AND THROW THE BAG THE LINE WILL FEED ITSELF OUT WEN ITS IN THE AIR
I just got one of these they are great. At the moment I use it for my water bottle but will convert it to a cooking kit also. I just need to get hold of a jetboil they seem to be cheap from the UK. I cannot wait.
@AndrewKnight68...You'll really like the jetboil also its a great fit for the bottle holder. Use mine all the time couldn't do without it now...Take care
This is going to sound weird, but I like watching your pack-out as much as watching your review of the gear. You have interesting pack-out ideas that I have stolen. :o) I like the 12x5 better than the 10x4 because the diameter tolerances on the 10x4 are too tight. Unfortunately the 10x4 is a better size for a MOLLE attachment. I like attaching a dump pouch to my 12x5 and a sheath pouch. Makes for a great kit (especially if you take wine to the park :O) )
Awesome, that's actually innovative. I was thinking of how to move my stove to the outside, and was considering a rolly polly, but this must be even more optimal; and much more stable. So an M4 and this thing, and I'm almost set!
if you ever find any pouch (that fits a small camera at least) that fits nicely on your Vulture's hip-belt-molle, please let us know!
@mrmonkeyman50 Thanks for the pointer! Does the M2 support the sort of unusual one row of MOLLE the Vulture-II has on it's hip belt, do you know? Well that was my intention with it at least. Thank you any how!
@Varghjarta It has both MOLLE but also a really great loop you can thread a wide belt or strap through. Makes for excellent quick on/off. Check out Max's site.
@TheSerb111 That is something i want to know too. Maxpedition has really dishonest marketing. It is very hard to tell the real review from the paid advertisement. I think it best to stay away unless you get to see the product, live, in store before buying.
@newtubetubetube I disagree. Whether they pay him or not, and I suspect that they don't, Maxpedition makes great products. I own a Falcon II and some other smaller pouches and such, and I continuously beat the crap out of them. They still look like new. The only down side is the price, but when you consider what you would spend on buying and then replacing a cheaper, similar product, Maxpedition gear is worth it.
@Odaon You have one, in your hand, to base your judgment. I don't, this is why i need to examine it in store before buying. i don't want to risk getting something like him... v=YmbB-H4qVII.
@newtubetubetube That's really to bad that the person in that video had to go through all that bullshit. It really is. I think that the woman he is talking to is some low level, minimum wage, answer the phone worker and he should continue to push for the right to speak to someone higher up, I can almost be certain that someone of higher power would right the problem. As for Maxpedition, every company has problems, I bought my gear with out looking at it in store and have no problems with it.
Odaon....I agree with you and I had some of my products for over a year and some get used everyday and still look great. They do cost a little more but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for.
@cjc5531 maxpedition pr, you tube username, contacted me after I asked you if you were paid buy maxpedition without me even trying to contact them we will see if they resolve this issue for me with my remora the build quality on the rest of my maxpedition products has been fair to excelent not all bags are perfect that is for sure
newtubetubetube ....So now you know...I agree with Odaon it wouldn't matter if they did. I bought my first one based what I viewed on youtube and it was enough to sell me on the functionality and the quality . I have two Maxpedition packs that I have not made Vid's on just because I don't like the packs not because of any quality issues.
@cjc5531 I think negative reviews are just as important as positive ones - especially when there is someone trusted making the negative review (and you are trusted Carey!) Quality is not the only criterion - design has to be high quality, too. Please do the negative review, they are important for the community. THANKS!!! :o)
@newtubetubetube It's easy to tell the dishonest reviews:when someone is hawking a store or has a discount code, you know they are just a corporate tool. I tend to distrust everything else that person says as well. CJ has been doing many many reviews and you can tell he doesn't get paid. There are lots of "amateur" reviews on YT for gear. They tend not to do give-aways or promotional stuff. They are reviewing for the common person. CJ is one of the most intelligent reviewers on YT for Max.
They are great for hot meals wish I would have had these years ago...Set includes 6 fl. oz. cup and 16 fl. oz. bowl; cup and bowl nest together

Good review of the Maxpedition 12x5. Just one question, will it hold a Klean Kanteen 40oz water bottle? It looks like it will.
Thanks

Hope you can help, cheers.
