  • nintendo ds on steroids?

  • wow i want one that is amazing

  • That's amazing..

  • im sure its hard to type since its touch

  • quiero una de esas

  • Jumping on the 'creepy music' bandwagon.

  • wie heißt das lied ? :D

  • From the network icon, the machine was not connected to internet. How would it open bing?

  • You can't say that the iPad is better than the Libretto!

You cannot compare them, cause the iPad is a "Tablet PC" and the Libretto is a "Laptop"

  • @FabioStream dont think steeve would like you calling an apple product a pc lol.

  • @sarahl0v3r Jobs can suck it, PC stands for "personal computer," it doesn't stand for Windows, so technically his Mac vs PC ads were just dumb =D

  • if only that was running ios

  • nice :D

  • whens this coming out for the US?

  • Looks good, btw, does someone know if the Windows Media Player Visualization at 0:45 is avavalible anywhere?

    Meanwhile, somewhere in China.

Hey let's paste two fake iPads and let's sell them with the name of: iLibretta

  • Order mine today from Toshiba Canada. Only one of 250 available so far! Told I should have it by next Tuesday. When I spoke with the telephone rep he said that they had one in the office last week and everyone was in awe over how this unit worked....

  • That ad was amazing.

  • That ad was fucking amazing.

  • Looks amazing!

I wish to be a millionaire...

  • Lol. NERD PRON!

  • That was like..sex in my eyes.

  • great device, great idea (was wondering when sth like this will come to the market), but an awful price :/

  • Damn, that is one cool device. That would be cool to own on e of those.

  • Gotta love that music in the background quietly whispering "You need me, you want me" into your ears.

  • It looks amazing to me. especially its design.

  • Notebook sem teclado. Gostei da iniciativa tecnológica, mas dependendo da especificação do hardware acho difícil essa geração de notebook conquistarem o mercado.

  • Its been on sale in Japan for over a month, and you can pre-order one on Amazon and on Toshiba website also. They have an extremely limited supply so good luck! I think they are testing the market atm! Good luck, i'd be all over this if i didn't just get myself an M11x

  • Pai, eu quero um desses, compra pra mim? hauhua

  • It looks amazing

  • I want one......!!!!!!!

  • AMAZING!

  • this is awesome!

hoping one day that its common for end users to create their own customizable haptic keyboards - i'd love to have a custom haptic keyboard for programming, another for final cut pro, another for photoshop, etc.

  • nice

  • Toshiba, you know full well it isn't that fast. In any case, you need to come down on that price A LOT. Beautiful device, looks looks like it's got loads of potential, but that price...

  • Are you kidding me? The touch screen sucks badly and it costs double what the iPad costs. Fail

  • Who ever made this ad is awesome

  • seriously who wouldn't get this over an oversized iTouch... opps i mean iPad.

Windows 7 > iOS any day and everyday.

i hope to see more of these coming out in the future... and maybe ones that have core i7 processor, nvidia or ati graphics, 1 TB of storage, 6 GB of ram and of course WINDOWS!

    keeping the dreams alive :)

  • @AznGuy232 This is going to have dick for 3rd party support, touchscreen wise. I don't see many people buying this over an iPad.

  • wow. what a song.

  • If I get one of these I'm writing "DON'T PANIC" on the outside ^.^

  • Where can i get this?

  • Are we ever going to see this in Australia? I wouldn't mind this being my first Toshiba product. Come on Toshiba, throw a little love towards Australia.

  • ipad can kiss my peehole

  • I see now why Ballmer killed the Courier dual screen tablet...microsoft didnt need it to bring touch screen devices to market.

because of windows 7, the market seemed to be heading in the direction of a courier like device anyway. Why fragment your own kingdom when you can cater to all with one OS. one OS to rule them all...

Windows 7 is looking more and more attractive to me. My first windows 7 device will be a touch device.

  • where is the trackpad?

    Can i rotare it?

or the screen is at down?

  • There's no subliminal message in this video...*whistle*

  • iPad LOSE!! Go Toshiba!!! <3

  • @wldxb No dumbass. Ipad is 10 times better than shit althought ipad is pretty lame, stupid and pointless.

  • Genial el concepto, gracias iPad por iniciar la nueva revolución tecnológica.

  • Exactly how tiny are the Japanese folks' fingers? Windows 7 is NOT gonna make this thing as desirable as it could be. You'll end up having to use a tiny stylus with it if you have anywhere near normal-sized fingers.

Though it does have USB, using a USB mouse kinda defeats the purpose of the touchscreen. Sure, it would be fabulous to have, but Windows 7 is kinda ruining it for me.

  • what's with the shit music?

  • I want one!!

  • This is the real innovation, not iPad that is a bad touch netbook without flash and multitasking, and it is expensive, only apple can does this, because the people buy iPad becase it is apple and doesn't because it is good.

  • @ddgitalia Ummm.... What?

    "only apple can does this"

"it is apple and doesn't because it is good"

And how is the iPad a "bad touch netbook without flash and multitasking"? It was never meant to be a netbook. Don't bash other products just because you haven't used them. I'm not even an Apple fanboy. I've used an iPad, and it's a wonderful experience - far better than my tiny, cramped netbook.

  • DS XXXXL

  • question ... what about HD(GB)...?

  • why are they taliking about ipad killer its not designed to do that but it will looks like new laptops to me futuristic ones and the ipad was close to a laptop but needed a few things like keyboard ms word etc etc

  • Better, than iPad.

  • Argh, anyone ever tried typing on a virtual keyboard like that ? Feels pretty awkward.

  • that is so cool but too thick

  • "You want me, you need me, come touch me.."

  • funny how most people say its ipad killer. so ur admitting ipad is the best tablet out there.

  • With two screens wouldn't the battery life be cut in half?

  • @DTevr89 yes, because batteries are only needed for the screens. hard drives, processors, etc actually don't require any energy at all.

    smh....

  • @DTevr89

I'd bet they use LED, OLED, AMOLED, or something along those lines.

  • looks cheap and chintzy

  • @HaydenEvans It worked for the iPad, didn't it.

  • This will blow away the iPad.

  • @chrisklecker

Like that's difficult to do. God, I was an Apple fan-girl back in the day, but...ugh.

  • look like a huge nintendo DS for me..lol...though this one is a lot more better....

  • if apple made it. the iClam.

  • this is the courier we wanted from microsoft. i cant believe they canned courier.

  • Me pregunto si funcionará con Linux?

  • need more Courier features please!!

  • also if they could make both screens border-less so there is no gap between the 2 screens when its stretched out full

  • wt would be great if they could include IO display sockets so can use both screens as extended screens to a desktop

  • This actually looks pretty cool compared to all the tablets that companies are making.

  • No linux Installed ? only WIN 7 ???? :(

  • test

  • What a great idea, but It would be displaying a keyboard 99.9% of the time and would probably overheat very quickly.

  • so expensive =(

  • a lot better than only one screen...

  • how much is it ????

  • Would be way cooler without Windows...

  • japonsko je ta nejlepší země na světě !!!! jsou to inteligentní lidé!!!!!!!!!!

    TOSHIBA W100 vs. IPAD = WIN - TOSHIBA W100

  • The music is priceless. Should be called the Toshiba Libido.

  • function definitely better than iPad. But the design looks too ordinary... No 'Apple" appeal. Should get designer like Philip starck to design.

  • Sweet! Kicks iPad butt.

  • i think the music is subliminal messaging, cause I want one now...

  • The real question is....how awesome is that music? lol

  • Now this is mouth watering!! USB port mean powered USB hubs or just use one USB device, which means full real keyboard, or any other USB device. This thing is unreal. iPad is an appliance, a nice one at that, but this, this is the PC at another level. Do anything greatness, build it Toshiba!!!!

  • NERDS LOOK! UOOOOOOWWWW

  • better than Ipad... sort of

  • ipad=giant iphone. Libretto=giant DS. lol

  • @TomBrettJoey My thoughts exactly! xD

Doesn't stop me from needing one though.. Hahaha. xD

  • @TomBrettJoey The Ipad cant call anyone i hope you know that

  • @TomBrettJoey agreed *nods

  • @TomBrettJoey are you saying its the same as a ds?!? no its not

  • @TomBrettJoey ahahah LOL))))

  • sorry but the music is pretty creepy tbh

  • @superwhooper69 You touch me , you feel me... yee. x)

  • I'm so getting one!!!

  • Toshiba Libretto W100 > iPad

  • Man this device is awesome and the video is pretty awesome

  • nice music :-)

  • EXCITING! I really like the form factor (size, appearance). I would use this device as a personal digital organizer, internet browser, ebook reader, media player. I like the various keyboard options. I recommend the following: Android OS, Tegra 2 chip, 3G, back & menu button, Stylus support, GPS, 5 megapixel camera w/LED flash on the back. Going with Tegra, the device can eliminate heating issues; the need for a fan, which could reduce the weight and width; and increase battery life.

  • @TS7019 Android OS is Simbean or iPhone kind of OS in other words, totaly useless.

  • wow that looks awsome!

  • wau this is freking AWESOME

  • Nice device - but why is it running windows? An operating system that could leverage the potential of two touchscreens would have been a much better choice. Even Microsoft Courier - which was unfortunately discontinued - had a custom OS.

  • @pjasnos Windows 7 running Microsoft Security Essentials and MBAM as an adjunct is as "turn it on and it just works" as OS X. It doesn't need a custom OS. You want a different OS run it in a virtual machine or dual boot!! You like OS X hackintosh it! Linux could be customized to take advantage of every feature this machine has also. You probably could get Android running it, Windows 7 and the hardware make customization/functionality endless...I'm sold, sign me up!!

  • Truely the leading innovation..

    That looks great..

  • Take that, all you iPad Punks!
