A settlement was reached prior to September 4th of 2004, when charges were dismissed provided the girl sign a confidentiality agreement refusing to testify.

Attorneys who have studied the case believe the settlement amount to be in the 6-8 million dollar range.

Fact 1)The rape occured on June 30th 2003. The arrest warrant was issued on July 4th 2003, and Kobe flew back with his lawyer to post bond.
The civil suit was filed on August 10th of 2004, more than a year later.
A settlement was reached prior to September 4th of 2004, when charges were dismissed provided the girl sign a confidentiality agreement refusing to testify.
