  • i need new pants...

  • Just gonna say it, based on the other 5 videos... it's pretty biased. and some of the shows didn't deserve to be titled "DCI's Best."

  • APASIONADA!!!! :D

  • what's the song at 3:50?

  • @natesquared I know it's part of the New World Symphony, but I could give you which exact part

  • @natesquared It's an arrangement of the fourth movement in Dvorak's New World Symphony. One of my favorite shows of all time

  • 3:57 - they succeeded in what we epically-failed at my sophomore year of high-school.

  • One of the best visual I've ever seen @1:23! It's so provocative! haha

  • Egads!!!! No 1996 with the the Conductor in tears and that horn line grabbing the crowd by their collective throats and taking the championship with raw force? Good googly-moogly! HATt's got to be one on the list!

  • One of our Band Directors was a contra for Phantom's 2004 and 2005 shows

  • i wouldve loved to be a horn player in phantoms 1991 show lol that guard was all over them

  • The 2007 show On Air wasn't one of my favorite PR show, except the closer was soooo amazing.

  • '09? I haven't seen the others yet but I would've replaced it with '95.

  • I have watched all the best ending series, and the most glaring omission I could find was Star of Indiana '90. That had to be the most killer ending I have ever seen.

  • @tubajake63 The Belshazzar's Feast show is sadly one of the most uinderrated programs in DCI history.

  • man....this is theater

  • I really enjoyed all 5 episodes. Many great endings left out though. Old school folks enjoy the mid 70's -early 80's. Please consider in your future postings.

I would love to see a best openings series too!

    Again, great stuff. Thanks!

  • @houlini I agree 100% with you. I would love to see more of the old school corps. I also like your suggestion for best openings. I had the same thought. I'ld like to see some of those openings that just knock you off your feet. You know those where the corps comes out and lets you know they are IN THE HOUSE and they own it.

  • 2003 :(

  • My high school is playing Phantom's 91 ending as our closer all at 160bpm... but i doubt our brass can play it though...

  • I really liked this video. HOWEVER, You can not have a "best of phantom regiment endings" video without including 2003 and 2008. Harmonic Journey and Spartacus were AMAZING. Spartacus in particular is without a doubt "THE greatest drum corps show ever", as quoted by Freddie Martin.

  • @Rizzle2377 This video is part of a (currently) five part series in which PR 03 and 08 have already been featured. If this video was a stand-alone, then those endings would have been most definetely included.

  • @Rizzle2377 Freddie and Mike martin are awesome. They worked with us (The Academy) trumpets mostly. It was an honor to have them with with the trumpets.

  • You pretty much could have renamed this "Best DCI Endings" and leave it at that :)

  • @DCIPhan11 I would, but then there would be SO MUCH HATEMAIL.

  • I’ve looked through all the videos and can’t find 82 Vanguard when they pulled out Bottle Dance. I was there and the crowd just lost it. I agree with the guy that said there is not enough 70s and 80s endings. 84 Suncoast Sound with the flag, Lancers Danny Boy, there are a lot of great endings from the past.

  • OK< after viewing all 5 of your videos, these are quality endings, to be sure, but I was in DCI in 1981 and 82, and if you cannot find any of the shows from the 70's and 80's, you are missing out on some of the greatest endings of all time...Cavaliers 1980, Softly as I Leave You; Madison Scouts 1980-81 Through the Eyes of Love; Madison 1983-84 Memories from Cats; Spirit, 1983, We Are The Reason; SkyRyders 1980-on, Somewhere Over theRainbow...check out the 80's and see, the corps were better then

  • @radiodate99 The corps weren't "better" then but they certainly had it going on back then. It's very difficult to find old Phantom vids on youtube.

  • You're missing one - 2010. [:

  • @STApercussionkid The video was made prior to the 2010 season.

  • Love the "judges are you watching" guy. apparently, they were not.

  • 8:28 is better known on youtube as "Phantom Regiment - Drum Corps - 2007 - Running Hornline"

    /watch?v=ytBFg3aMx5c

  • @PastNorwegianBlue FIRE BIRD.

  • Geez you people are so demanding, he has 4 other videos so stop complaining about what hes missing

  • 1989. Enough said. That guys horn was pointed twords heaven.

  • I love how in 0:34 to 0:44 you can hear similarities to On Air, their 2007 show. It's not exact, but it gives me the feeling of it.

  • @CoasterStreak You mean "generic ending? lol.

  • 2006 -- the chevron formation at the end of Faust has to be my favorite ...

Hang on ... the end of The Red Violin is in there but Spartacus isn't?

  • Comment removed

  • Okay, I can forgive Spartacus not being here, but Harmonic Journey belongs in this video.

  • Ah, the best moments of my favorite corps. I love it that they play classical music so often.

And you saved my absolute all-time favorite for last. :)

  • Uh..03 Harmonic Journey?08 Spartacus?02 Heroic Sketches? 96 Defiant Heart? 93 Modern Imagination? 02 Virtuoso? Missing a lot!

  • @DCIPhan10 I'm pretty sure he included those in his previous four videos.

  • the 09 video isn't from finals, that would be atlanta, 2 weeks before finals

  • omg no harmonic journey and spartacus?? :P

  • Madison 95. The crowd was so loud the Cavaliers had to stop their warm up. I'll post the video when I get a chance.

  • Need more 1983 (1812 Overture) and 1979 (Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral). A little bit of 1987's Winter Palace wouldn't hurt either. :)

  • i really want to be a part of this band one day. :) dream big!

  • @SuperColbinator youll never be in it if you call it a band.

  • @rreemmzzrruullee true, true. my bad. my sincere apologies.

  • Why not just add every Phantom ending in history? That would make a good video. =)

  • What happened to huge banners in DCI shows like at 2:30 ish? I miss them.

  • Great choices...but you forget 96, 03, and 08.

  • Some good choices. Too bad the audio and video aren't quite synced...

  • 1989 was maybe Phantom's best ever. That was my first ever finals in person.

  • "JUDGES ARE YOU WATCHING?!?!?!"

  • @schantzman87 -- unfortunately they weren't ... :( ... although I seem to recall from the Phantom history DVD that when the scores were retabulated later it was discovered someone erred in the calculations and they'd actually won ... I could have heard it wrong ...

  • @schantzman87 indeed... Phantom gets robbed every year... they are way better than any other corps out there.

  • @schantzman87 Obviously NOT!

  • Harmonic Journey was featured in the second video in this series. :D

  • absolutely amazing, thanks for posting this

  • AMAZING. Love the video. Add Harmonic Journey at the end and it'll be absolutely perfect. All in all, though, thank you.
