Elvis' middle name was originally spelt with 1 A, named after Vernons friend Aaron Kennedy. He spelt it with 1 A as it was similar to Elvis' still born twins middle name of Garon. Near the end of Elvis' life he wanted to have it changed to 2 A's as in the biblical spelling of Aaron, but when they checked it was already recognized as being spelt by the Authorities of the day as having 2 A's. When Elvis died his name knowing Elvis wanted 2 A's made sure the Grave was marked that way

His real mane was Elvis Aaron Presley. However, he officially changed it to Aron to match his decieced Twin's seonnd name Jesse Garon. The controversey is that on his grave his name is miss splelt because he is not in it and he did not want his real name spelt on a grave that did not belong to him.
