royal marines have got the hardest and longest training out of any NATO force and thats just basic training, US marines yes there a great force but this is stupid, US marines is a entire seperate part of the US millitary, it has its own heavy armour and air support the royals do not, also the royal marines are an elite commando unit the marine recon the best of the marines are not even commando's or elite there very good soldiers but on different playing fields.

US Marines have made a record of beating the Royal Marines in 75% of the fights since the Revolution and the war of 1812. In 1854, the Royal Marines had 2 failed landings. They called out for help from the USMs at Peiho. They were under the command of the USMC at Peking in 1900 and Chosin 1950, and now they lost Helmand to the US Marine MEU that was redeployed there from Iraq.

All we had was regular Marines since 1775 and they never failed us. US Marine training has nothing to do with brit army training. Our PFT runs are 2x longer, we shoot 40% farther and with 60% more accuracy during rifle quals.

Your RMCs arent SF capable, dont even try comparing them to Rangers, who actually conduct SF missions. "longest basic training course " = longest infantry course, only longer to 0311 USM training by 2 wks. RMC = USM infantry
