This song really makes you think.. I love it. It speaks what some men can't seem to find the words to say and gets a message out. Great job Showbread.
Wow, its sad that people continue to be deceived. Sounds like any other musician questioning faith. How is this any better or unique? Because they claim to be Christian. I'm gonna go listen to the Pixies.
@tastycannabisbrownie Probably because it's an honest song. He's not asking to be ironic or sardonic or "edgy". He is asking questions that are ok for anyone to ask. Christians as well. The fact that it's taboo in most religious circles just makes the song stand out because of the bands outspoken christian stand point. Also their actions scream their love of Christ more than anything, but I can understand your skepticism. While others ask these questions, very often in ridicule, Josh isn't.
This song speaks to me very deeply. I love it a lot. I'm really the kind of guy this song talks about: I love God, but I'm still wracked with doubt and fear. However, this song helps remind me that God loves me, and even if I fail (and I do that a lot) He will continue to love me and help me do better.
@beanjuicy really... what augustmarch7 said is despicable and not christian like i mean its a sin to wish hell on anyone... i reach out to you. Don't you feel you owe the one who created the universe your fear?
@beanjuicy the land of unquenchable flame where the worm does not die. Basically you spend eternity as a flaming rotting corpse but feel every bit of the agony. but there are a whole mess of different doctrines and beliefs about Hell. Some say it's a place of purification, some say a place for only the really bad people while most others spend time in purgatory which is where the final destination of their soul is decided based on their decisions there, or finally a place of eternal torment.
i dunno, the song "Age of Reptiles" moves me every time, this song is great too, but doesn't strike me like ge of Reptiles does. overall though, Showbread has some of the most personal prayer-like worship songs i've ever heard. very inspiring. helped me through a lot.
same. i didnt even know all the words. but the words i heard made me tear up. and now that i know all of them i cry. its such an awesome song along with the CD
make sure you listen to the whole song before you pass judgement on it, or pass judgement up on the heart or the words of the person who wrote it
