@ecidol really. im glad i asked you. im glad you read the other messages i sent him too, you creepy youtube stalker...as for the retard comment..im 100% sure you dont even have a drivers license yet, and as well that i would have a nice chat with you if i could see you in person. and its not a threat, as we would be just chatting. ill see you when you turn 16!
they didnt update nothing you 'll never see 130+ on that bike but thats ok because that is a unique machine and i love the engine for its maintenance. vibrations happen at 90 ... your engine is modeled from my ex 500 1987 and the bike does vibrate a little because its a twin that uses a counter balance shaft in the engine.... do yourself a favor and get the book and take the 2 days to read 80 % of the good stuff then youll understand why the 600 beats your 650!
I have the same exact bike and its great! You really can't go wrong with it. Great for around town. I have taken it on several 100+ mile trips and it is great for the highway too.
I wonder if you could flip the handlebars around, so that they curve downwards. That's the nice thing about a one-piece mono handlebar.
Did you manage to complete the initial 500 mile break-in with little trouble? I know myself it's hard to keep it under 4K most of the time. I do gun it occasionally, but never more than 6K, which is what the manual recommends for 501-1000 miles.
I had the 2007 version for my first bike and i love the new look for them a little more sporty..its much more comfortable than a supersport just remember that if you upgrade because i miss that probably the most.
Hey I sat on one today while my KLR was getting worked on, I'm 6'3" 250-260 and I found it a near perfect fit. I'd seriously considered a zx14 or hayabusa for comfort, performance and occasional touring, but this bike fit pretty damn good. Pegs are up high enough to get your knee down, but not so much that your hip will pinch. Bars are higher than a supersport, but coming from a dual sport they are low, slightly leaned forward. Sure you could adjust the bars to go lower. Go sit on one!
Oh wow. The 09 650r looks great! Glad to see you chose a smart bike for a first one. Yeah it's a big bike, but it's more manageable than the supersports. Nice video.
I feel the same way mahn ... I have 800 miles on mine in 2 weeks and love it. Lots of power and flies up the hills even at 7500 ft where I live where carb bikes get sick. You do get a ton of wind on the hwy ... and the sportbars bars bend you down but put the pressure on your back instead so I just rest my head on my tank bag =) I'll probably get a touring windscreen for long trips.
Haha. Yeah, I think the problem really isn't the bars for me (although I do like the way those SS bars look) it's more that the cheap helmet the dealership threw in with the purchase is too huge and heavy (they just put in the right padding) so my neck hurts after about 50 miles.
How tall are u I'm 5'8" and I'm thinking bout gettin this bike
