Actually, the subject of the "Satanic-Panic" hysteria of the late 70's-90's fascinates me. This subject is linked to that hysteria, and like Satanic-Panic, there are a lot of believers but suprisingly little to no evidence to support these beliefs. It's classic fear-mongering. Parents are afraid that this sorta think could happen to their children so they keep it in their "gray box", or in other words "might be true" box instead of the trash can where it belongs.

My guess why the documentary never aired was due to fears of a lawsuit. The grand jury already ruled that the child sex-abuse accusations were a hoax. For the Discover Channel to air this program with the knowledge that the jury ruled it to be a hoax would bring shame upon the network as well as open them up to a lawsuit.

Alisha Owens was indicted on 8, EIGHT, counts of perjury. Even the FBI didn't believe her story. She lied from day one.

They hardly let him speak or question for any reasonable amount of time. It was a show trial.

According to a commentor on the amazon page for Bryant's book, Bryant admits he got into the Franklin scandal after researching and trying to find proof for the Satanic-Panic hysteria of the 70's-90's. Is that true?

Then a contact sent him an official customs document detailing the infiltration of a wareheouse belonging to a cult called "the Finders". 2 adults were found with a bunch of kids in a van and in their warehouse in D.C. they found pictures of rituals and abused children, evidence of arms dealing, kidnapping, drug dealing & terrorism.
