I got my first about 3 weeks ago on my right leg. It's hard to say if it will hurt or not because the perception of pain is so unique plus where you're gettin it. If its on an area that has little muscle or fat (collar bone, ankle) or an area that is high in sensory neurons hands, feet, will also hurt. But not for everyone. When I got mine it felt like my skin was burning but the second the needle was off my skin I was fine. Don't take pain killers, they thin blood which will push the ink out
