Anyone know the controls for this game? I've tried playing it tons of times but I never seem to be able to figure out what's going on

i just started playing and when i open the boleskin's diary the text is awfully slow while the voice-over is like a machine gun. Is this how it's supposed to be or is there a way to configure it? Some dosbox options to tinker with so that the game runs extra smooth? I'm using d-fend frontend btw.

Wow... it's been sooo long since I played through this one. The finale almost made me quit because I didn't know how to slow down my PC to do all the things necessary in time.

Reminds me of the old days, when games like Gabriel Knight, Veil of Darkness and Prisoner of Ice still gave a s***.
