is it possible that ramon vargas in the same aria has 29000 views and here master craus has only near 5000?? is that normal??? no offense to vargas offcurse but...you know.. fuck! is it normal??????
Kraus shows again his perfect technique, which made it possible for him to sing the high notes till the end of his career (and i'm quite sure he had great high notes till he died)
The final high C is not in the original score: in fact, Kraus actually sings the conclusive frase from "La donna è mobile". Very nice interpretation though.
This is a beautifully sung version that is just a little too straight. Fernando de Lucia, in his recording plays with the rythm just enough to introduce some humor, and to suggest that the Duke has had a couple of glasses of wine.
Stunning! Here's Il Maestrissimo once againg showing what legato singing, breath support, control of dinamics, elegant phrasing and respect/understanding of rossinian style is all about. Bravo!

I an sorry to say that, as the first comment here, but I think this guy in green is not such a great "bomb" in singing. Or the record might be very old.
Bravo !!!

It's a lovely video but I doubt the recording equipment and/or technique could really do him the justice he deserves. Legato is fantastic.

After foolishly listening to some Netrebko I needed something to scrub my ears and brain. Thank you Onegin65!

Ha, ha. Kraus' singing is elegant, a description that would hardly apply to today's singers, men or women.

Wow. I already love Kraus, but this is about as sweet as I've ever heard him.
Never mind the hater(s)...he had perfect technique, great musicality, and some acting skill. A great tenor to emulate.

Dentro de 100 años los estudiantes de canto seguirán teniendo las grabaciones del Maestro Kraus como referencia.

I think that his singing is sweet and beautiful, perfectly appropriate for a serenade.
