  • Russia will blow this ship up.

  • @Tomekwinxs No they wont.

  • this is a ship similar to Philippine "banca" we call the two stabilizers as "katig" glad the US have adopted this kind of feature.. this really stabilize any ships in the inventory. congratulation to American Naval Forces..

  • @ppfriggen No, The entire vessel was constructed in the US, Only a hand full of Current and Former US Navy ships have been built in Australia by Austal and Incat, The Independence class aswell as the JHSV will all be completely built in Mobile USA.

The design work thoe may have partially been done in Australia, But not any of the construction.

  • What bullshit the hull was built in Australia

  • Look how stupid they look in BLUE CAMO!!! LOL !!!! Not only that but they wear the Jar-Head uniforms now too. lol A lot has changed since I was on the previous USS Independence CV-62 ! Man that blue camo looks dumb!

  • @padraicohare You see them too???? I thot it was just me!! Its NOT camouflage is it?

  • What is the reason that people who work on ships wear camouflage clothing? WTF??

  • @deislfume dude relax its just to help the navy incorporate into the overall uniform patterns of the Army, Marines, Airforce..and Navy

  • @Ahamster1 Relax??? I had no idea I was excited, dude. Its a reasonable question, Camouflage on water is plain dumb. In any event, why do they call it camouflage when I see them walking around cities, ships, and offices? They should rename it I CAN SEE YOU !!!!

  • @deislfume lol ok, theres a youtube vid about the new standards for the navy uniform, should explain the reasons for the camo print

  • This ship looks like crap (yes, I cleaned it up). It's really sorry that a once great aircraft carrier had to lower her name to something like this. Then again some a--holes in congress thought that aircraft carriers should be named after presidents. Some good like Lincoln and Truman and then others... well I'll clean it up here too! What did Ford do? Oh yes! He pardoned Nixon and was never elected even though he was in the Navy.

  • i love american military.... US owned the world :DD

  • @jaypher2000 When . . .

  • Mine hunting? Hehe, yeah right, it's able to do speeds in excess of 55 knots (90kmh) and carry 2 MH-60R Seahawks, and Stryker infantry combat vehicles internally. How fast do mines go?

Designed by Aussies, good work lads, sell some of these to the Royal Australian Navy.

  • this is just the prototype of F35B carrier for marines

  • what? 55 new ships, are we preparing for war?

  • @fight4yourfreedom1 Yes, against the Chinese.

  • @fight4yourfreedom1 Hope so!!! Wouldn't want a Military that isn't!

  • The LSC2 was built right here on Us soil. Google it. I was there.

  • @hedied4uandmee i live in mobile haha

  • @hedied4uandmee and it will be transfer to Philippines, they will continue building independence class in Philippines this 2012, already done deal,

  • Actually, Austal is an Australian company that also has a shipbuilding facility in Mobile, Alabama. Independence was built in Mobile. Building equipment within US-based facilities is usually what is necessary for foreign defence contractors to win US Defence contracts.

  • Actually, it was built by Austal Ships in Fremantle Western Australia not USA stupid news reader!

  • @hmasbeaver ............ It was built in Mobile, Alabama. I was there.

  • @hmasbeaver no it was built in USA but it was desiged by australians FROM fremantle. the company AUSTAL stands for AUSTralia- ALabama

  • @hmasbeaver it was built in Mobile,Al lol.
