China is the nation that both Russia and Nato should be concerned about; half the worlds population governed by a dictatorship is extremely worrying in the long term. Russia needs to make sure that it gets a moderate leadership in place with a sense of balance; instead of putting such a huge amount of it's GDP into arms (a bit like the US perhaps) :-)

Even though Nato have Russia surrounded, I am not convinced that Nato ever wishes to harm Russia. I think Nato wants to contain China not Russia. Actually my country's leaders as of late have done a very good job of steering it through some very bad crises and they accomplished it all without having to murder journalists or restrict freedoms.
