They say the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over again and expecting a different result. TERRIBLE corner for Tito--they didn't give him a single piece of constructive advice. All they told him is "get closer" and "hit him hard". Tito should have circled left or tried to fight him on the inside. Looks like he's a one-trick pony to me.
@arcastrillo What Happened to Tito u Ask?? Easy, he Ran into a Guy that could Actually Box. lol Tito Made his Name by Fightin Guys that were Flat Footed and Stood in Front of him and just Traded with him. Yory Boy Campas and Ricardo Mayorga for Example. lol smh Guys like that are Tailor Made for a Hard Hitting Guy like Tito. But Any Time he Ran into a Guy with Actual Boxing Skills, he Lost. IE- Roy Jones, Winky Wright, Bernard Hopkins, and Even Oscar De La Hoya Beat him at 147 but was Robbed.
@arcastrillo he came from retirement ( Mayorga's fight had no importance ) and had to fight an excelent tecnical boxer, with a super efficient jab and a shield guard that left no room for trinidad's punches; trinidad's defensive abilities were missing here: no skill to block or slip the jab, not a defensive holding of the opponent, footwork did not help to find a possible angle of attacking wright ; when the outside fight did not go well , he did not in for uppercuts and body punches
@Kedbuka I Agree, I Love when Roy Commentates. But do u Know WHY hes such a Good Boxing Commentator?? Its because Hes BEEN in the Ring! Its because hes FOUGHT! THATS why he Gives the Utmost Credit to Great Boxers like Winky Wright, Floyd Mayweather, etc! Idiots like LARRY MERCHANT who have Never Even Laced Up a Pair of Gloves in their LIFE, Guys like that are Quick to HATE on Master Boxers like Winky and Floyd who Hardly Get Hit! Because to LARRY, Hitting and not Getting Hit is "BORING." lol smh
@Mr9mm4u I used to dislike Merchant too but after watching a LOT of fights on YT in which he was one of the commentators, I've begun to appreciate him more. George Foreman, on the other hand, was a great fighter but a horrible commentator. He said a lot of stupid shit and Merchant called him on it more than once (e.g. Hopkins vs. Trinidad, Barrera vs. Hamed).
@Kedbuka I Disagree. I'd Rather Listen to George Foreman or a Guy like Roy Jones Jr. Commentate than Listen to LARRY ANY Day of the Week! lol Guys like George and Roy were Fighters. Not only FIGHTERS but GREEAAAT FIGHTERS at that! So they Know what they're Talkin about. Like I Pointed Out Earlier for Example, Larry will not Give Credit to a Great Defensive Fighter with Boxing Skills like a Floyd Mayweather, but he Will Give Credit to a Dumb, Flat Footed Brawler who Takes 2 Punchez to Give 1.
Pero q le van a decir...quedate cerca para q no retire su jab y te sigan matando....y darle duro...porq esta tirando Los golpes sin fuerza

@distantsalem i can agree with what u said but consider that the 'one-trick' you talked about worked great for almost an entire career.

What a total rout. When he lost, which was rare, Trinidad really, really lost.
I like Roy Jones, Jr. very much as a commentator. His comments are enlightening, learned and almost always well-articulated. He's great.

@Kedbuka yeah, he's very good. he really knows what he talks about, way better than foreman as a commentator in my opinion

@carlitoboxing7 Roy is WAY, WAY better than Foreman. Big George was a great fighter but a terrible commentator.
