i dont have either computer anymore, but the pro is best for everything, its faster, if you do editing an work on an air i recommend an external hard drive and the speakers are virtually the same
hey man, nice review. Which one would you recommend for light photo editing and faster import/export speeds? Also how are Air's speakers compared to 13" MacBook Pro?
@noahmarkbitney for blogging and typing, macbook air. for anything professional, macbook pro. but both work great just the air is slower in some professional stuff unless u add ram and mem.
you fail to mention macbook pro has an infrared port and the macbook air does not. Also even if you did a fresh install of the OS on your pro it would still boot slower than the air because the air has an SSD. Its the solid state drive that makes the big difference
power vs portability

Bacbook pro: has the choice to put a SSD hard drive in, but is fucking overpriced
not too good video card so prob can't play games well
processor: holy fucking good core i7 processors, prob opens stuff fucking fast
ram: much more ram so can open lots of shit
i'd def buy mac pro over the air if i had to buy a mac, but i'd still prefer a pc
:D

I don't use Mac's but here is what I know about these 2 by looking at their specs.
Macbook air: SSD hard drive because SSD is small. ssd is really fast and are amazing hard drives, that's why it starts up faster.
shitty fucking dual core processor, most likely loads programs slowly.
video card is shit prob can't play video games at all.
price - more expensive than the macbook pro
