  • Great playing

  • so clear.

  • Regardless of what you think of Gulda's interpretations, his playing is amazingly precise. The runs are the cleanest of anyone playing Mozart that I have heard. I like his recordings of the Mozart piano concertos, but the solo pieces sound a little mechanical. His tempos are also faster than what I Iike.

  • he is so great, that can play this in C minor if he wants to, and nobody will stop him:)

    achtung...

    der flügel ist auch fett

  • I have no problem with ornamenting Mozart's music, but do his improvised ornaments sound stylistically in good taste to you? Not to me. Nothing special about the rest of his playing either in my opinion. For Mozart sonatas played to perfection with impeccable taste listen to Barenboim.

  • @jerrys88 Yes, they do indeed. They sound entirely appropriate and within Mozart's own style. Certainly not more extreme than the type of ornaments that Mozart sometimes notated. In fact, they are tremendously restrained compared to Mozart's variants for a segment in the F major sonata's slow movement.

  • mmmm, a delight.

  • I HATE THE MODIFICATIONS =(

  • @IanPianist2 I love them!

  • Why is it rare? Nice improvisations! Concert hall lp?
