Ok it's me again with the brushless version of this car so after I got the lipo cutoff turned off then after I ran the buggy a couple times it would run totally fine for about 4 minutes then the hole entire buggy would completely shut off abs if I touched the wires connecting the ESC to the battery it would turn on again then it would either run fine for a little again or shut of when I hit the throttle cab someone plzzzz help me on how to fix it and when I hit the throttle a red light on the

@sem805. Im not sure why yours does that, I had two and they had so many problems like smoking and broken axel links that I had to sell them for $40 when I had almost $300 into them so they are a real problem :/

@kartingfan77 did you try "lipo cutoff" thats mostly the problem...search lipo cutoff...im sure it will get u going a gain

@kartingfan77 When you set the mesh between the pinion gear and spur gear make it so a piece of paper fits in between. Sounds like you may have over charged/fried the battery or water damage. Try another battery but make sure it is the correct voltage. Hobby shop might test it free.

I actually have one of these from eBay. Sold as HSP XSTR buggy, but still labelled Exceed. Anyway it is much better quality than I even expected, and the seller I got it from had some really nice shrouded bullet connectors (don't plug charger into the ESC!) that I mostly prefer over Deans.

It's quite slow stock (~17mph so the same as Radioshack's fastest) but is well built with metal gears, so it should handle the 9000kv brushless I want to get for it.

Stock ESC comes apart easily. Only complain

Don't buy brushless. Brush motors are much stronger, but slower. It is better to use Brush motor if you play in dirt. Btw, brushless motor is too fast, and car is going on his last wheels, so I dislike brushless motors.

I think that for rc car is enuogh to have about 25 - 30 mph of strong fucking power then 60 - 70 weak mph with actualy no performanse during drving and turning. For dirt and bad terrains are better brush motors, but they waste more power and after a while heating a little bit.

well, exceed RC are pretty good for an entry level hobby grade RC but aren't suitable for racing, Losi make some awesome RC that are suitable for racing BUT they are way more expensive e.g the sunfire is like 120-150$ RTR but a losi XXX-CR (competition kit) is 160$ without elec what so ever... I personally love Tamiya , the 501XX is the best RC Comp buggy elec....
