@sbs9026 Not quite. This car was built when Holden still had use of the Opel Omega chassis. The G8 is based on the sole Aussie designed Commodore, the VE which was first built in '06. Nice to see our cars are making an impression overseas though. Do us a favour and check out the new FPV GT-P then talk to Detroit about importing them? Hahaha

@SpecialAndNotDumb Shorts are normal in a workshop where you will put overalls on over the shorts. It is too hot and uncomfortable wearing longs under overalls. Usually the t-shirt comes off as well. In summer in Oz it gets real hot.

@phatGTO1 - you can get away with it, if you upgrade the power in your car all you need is sufficient braking means to counter balance the extra power. And the exhaust has to be under a certain decibel level, I'm not 100% what that is though.

That's in WA, not sure about other states.

@wue2117 Yes, this car. The VB Commodore wad based on an Opel because they didn't have anything Australian to replace the outgoing Kingswood and they continued with them up until the VZ when Opel stopped producing the bodies. VE is the only Aussie developed Commodore.

I have a VZ R8 clubsport in silver and the VZ R8 wheels look so much better.

They look that good that you dont need to change them and plus they are big enough. The quad exhausts was done very neatly but I believe the dual exhaust suits better as the quad looks a bit out of place.

I hope you dont have the standard R8 brakes cause they stop like crap thanks to the Booster/master cylinder revision HSV did in the VZ. They gave it a soft less responsive feel.

very nice HSV. I wouldve left the standard HSV rims on it and it wouldve looked nicer and most people would just think it's a HSV with an exhaust and cam

@HEKTIC458 Thats true, stock HSV rims look so much better and makes the car look mean. Plus I see them rims almost on every car. In the last 4 days of googling cars, and watching videos, I have seen them rims a total of 9 times. LOL!
