One thing all the tabi'een + salaf agreed on was that even IF it had significance, the ibadah should be done alone at your homes, there is absolutely no reason for a jamaa'ah in the masjid
And also, just because one or two shuyookh say it has something, the majority of scholars are of the opinion that it isn't significant, only the people of desires cling on to irregular opinions from amongst the scholars
Ibn taymiyyah is a great man, but even if he says that night if baraa'ah has greatest of significance, doesn't mean I'm obligated to follow him
Believe it or not...the shuyookh have the ability to make mistakes...
Can I please have the reference for Ibn Taymiyyahs statement
With all due respect, who is the sheikh that you mention?
Shaykh Munajjid never said there were no reports, he said that the reports never went back to prophet, and that at most, the hadeeth are very weak, Ibn taymiyyah, if he said that statement, says some virtue, don't you think that a night where peoples qadr is decided is a night of great virtue or just some?
Ibn taymiyyahs words show he didn't accept it to be THAT significant
@soy62 If it was significant night, then dont you think the Prophet PBUH would have told all his companions to stay up all night and pray? Dont you think he would have woken up his family? The authentic narrations show that he didnt even wake up his own wife Aisha (raa). Are people saying that the Prophet PBUH concealed the importance of the day and held back its virtue and did not tell his own companions about it? SubhanAllah, it this the accusation you want to level at the Prophet PBUH!!
Ibn Taymiyyah, accepts the virtue of the night of Barãt, he says: “So many Ahãdith and reports exists regarding the excellence of the fifteenth night of Shabãn that one is compelled to accept that this night possesses some virtue.”
Shaikh Abdur Rahman Mubarakpuri writes in the commentary of Tirmizi: “The sheer number of Ahãdith regarding this night serve as a proof against those who refute the excellence of this night.” [Tuhfatul-Ahwazi Vol. 2 Pg. 53].
Worship Allah as much as you want, but dont limit it to one specific night unless Rasulullah done extra 'ibaadah on that night. its like adding a sixth fardh daily prayer, if you tell someone that turning five daily prayers into six is haram then are you also preventing the slave of worshipping?
Allah completed Islam and perfected it 1400 years ago, and men out of ignorance, seek to improve on what Allah has perfected, do they think they are better?
have you ever thought like in a week we have a special day, friday, then we have other special days like monday and thursday, in a year we have a special day night of qadr, and aint there any other special dayz, maybe night of bar'rah, also there were 17th hassan, i dont know what that is, i think its strong hadith which talks about 15th of shabaan.
@OfficialShambo the special days were perscribed by Allah SWT and his Rasool, any other day is of no special significant importance, and accordding to the evidence, 15th of sha'baan is not very imortant, it is important because it is one of the Ayyamul Beed but we get these days every month
@pathanxxx
I agree with you akhi
May Allah bless you
Its the other people that do not agree
The vid is actually about the INSIGNIFICANCE of baraah

If Ibn Hibban's Sahih and his report about the virtue of nisf-ush-shaaban did not exist...
