this is not for laptops or desktops, this is not for any of the pc markets. It is targeted for casino game machines, those humongous digital ad posters on the street and other stuff which uses embedded graphic chips.

Its not out yet. Its also apart of the laptop line of items they are planning to bring. Basically, I believe it will be this E4690 chipset along side their new "AMD Neo" cpu's. Together, It will make a very affordable, gaming laptop, at a very cheap price.

Dunno if its 100% but its my theory. If they can make great graphics this small for notebooks, why not start making desktop cards just as small? I HATE bulky 2 lane cards in my desktop. But that's just me....

I think if AMD went and took the old x1900 series and pushed it down to 40nm process we would be able to see a super clocked dx9 card. It would perform amazingly and since games atm still support dx9 (and will for a few years at least) would make a great netbook gfx solution. I cant wait to see AMD's line of netbooks.

nah, the x1900 series are good cards, infact, i still own 1, but the architexture is old. Not enough shader units and the lay out inside the chips aint that great compared what AMD will have in store for the new chips, they will OWN :P same goes for geforce

Yeah I read up on some leaked/hinted/speculated info and the new 5000 series is said to be nearly 35times more powerful than what we have now, the cards are modular so they will be cheaper, and some other things im just to lazy not to type.

well that was probably just a rumour, but i do believe the modular to be correct, although 35 times more powerful is a BIT extreme..wouldnt u say?? maybe they meant 3.5x more powerfull?? would make more sens..:P

I agree its extreme, but supposedly they figured out how to matt current technology with older rays tracing to make a super card, but then again its just a rumor :/. I cant wait for the new cards, I'm trying to sell my PC now while its still wanted LOL

well, they would just end up using the same tech. I mean the WII uses ati graphics, so its totally possible. Just PS3 and 360 wouldn't stand a chance until the next generation, PS4? and 720? lol

so it'll get around 5k on 3DMark06....my embedded 2400 has 1.5k 3dMarks with a T7100/2gb DDR2 in a Kennex notebook

Nvidia doesn't have anything like this, because this is an embedded chip, which is for things like slot machines. Awful shame, because it's basically a 4670 on a chip and would absolutely dominate in a integrated/mobile solution.
