(sung in the Wizard Of Oz melody..) Snip snip here, snip snip there..with my very fertile Balls, that's how we get vasectomies in the Merry ol' land of Oz !
I ALWAYS think that advertising to kids is a total waste of money and talent but not advertising to kids about poor people so that kids urging there parent to donate money to poorer people.
I love how they say that kids stimulate all this spending and money, and there's just a baby laughing beside all the stats. That baby, just being happy, just being itself, sure is stimulating all this industry :) NO, ADULTS ARE, WHO READ RIDICULOUS EXPECTATIONS AND NOTIONS INTO KIDS, AND THEN GET THEM TO BELIEVE THEM ... Btw, very glad this documentary exists, besides little ways in which it puts flashiness above the content. (Slow-mo piggybank breaking doesn't really emphasize their point)
A lot of my friends keep talking about how the 90's were so great. Not because of growing up with their family, but because of TV and movies ect. What they don't know is that this is what they want them to keep thinking. They're enthralled for life. The businesses will throw out retro items and they know they'll be bought.
@Nefus1988 Thumbs up, kids dont need computers and all these fancy electronics, they need to take their asses outside and play like we did when we were kids, I guarantee that will slash the child obesity epidemic. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and wed watch tv for a few hours then dad would turn it off and throw our asses outside.
@79agp Totally agree, but also something else needs to be done: stop the fat-scare hysteria, all food in the supermarkets today in the western world is fat free despite fat is natural and our ancesters have been living on fat for millions of years. Instead of buying real food we buy margarine and other chemicals becuse we are so desperate to count calories.
@Nefus1988 no kids need to learn to respond properly to ads, that is a quality kids need for life, if your kid cant learn to not to ads seriously and to ignore them, then what will happen if i tell them hey wanna buy drugs, parents have the responsibility to teach kids to make descitions of thier own, not all ads are bad, infact kids will see coke machines walking down the streat, it doesnt force kids to but them

Even in poor countries where I live. A 3 year old with his own smartphone? Yeah, that's a common sight.

How many kids can afford Porsche? And when they grow up they might buy another car.

And smart people go to university to learn how to be in this sleazy dirty marketing business, and are proud of their skills.

@670Kiester I've always thought of advertising as a complete waste of creative talent for monetary gain.
