i should have filmed it but, oh, doh !!, i didn't !!i put a pumpkin in a mircowave a few years ago with a M80/blockbuster firecracker with some sparklers & foil inside of it,...what a mess even the microwave was chunkin with the pumpkin, it was totally blown to bits with the pumpkin pits!.....if this is done again i recomend a really, really long extention cord & far away from anybody or anything that can be dammaged !

Why would it melt? Its a pumpkin. its mostly water so if anything it would just dry up or overheat and crack. It might give off alot of steam but you should know that not everything you put into a microwave will blow up, melt, disintegrate, or catch on fire. Some things can last pretty long with not much happening to them. The pumpkin is a cool example because the microwave powers the bulb but doesn't do much harm to the gourd its in.

lol i did that once when i wa younger. my cousins said you could hardboil eggs in the microwave and i tried to do it. I didn't have enough water above the egg so the pressure built up. When i took it out of the microwave it popped. If your brother tries to microwave eggs again tell him to put them in a very deep bowl with a good amount of water above the egg. Also he shouldn't take it right out when its done..... cause exploding eggs hurt!
