sorry to inform you that in the "real world" from the game, Krauffman killed her. after thinking he can't control her anymore, Krauffman controls her w/ WhiteClaudia(a type of drug from the game),&makes her sleep w/ him while forcing her to take care of Alessa. Alessa forged her from the image that she remembers Alessa, a sweet nurse that take care of her while she suffered from the burn. The other creatures are aggressive because thats how Alessa looked at other things around her,all bad.

Honestly, I never played the game, but I know a lot. So the movie was kind of okay for me. I just consider it as a spin off, and don't really compare it to the first game at all, because it's completely different from the game anyways. They just basically made a story, and threw in some random characters from the original games, like Lisa (or, "The Red Nurse" >.>)

She looked and saw the pain and horror that Allessa felt, and was distraught. Thus her otherworld image is of her crying painful tears of blood for Allessa, while she forever cares for her.

It was good, except for half of the monsters. The Nurses and Pyramid Head were in SH2 for a reason; they represented specific aspects of JAMES SUNDERLAND's psyche. That's why they were so awesome, not simply because of how they looked or acted. The "Colin" monster, on the other hand, was creative and fit with the story perfectly.
the pyramid head wasent just from james sunderlands psyche it serves as a symbol of the repressed anger and guilt of the person whoever they are as it also shows in silent hill 5
My opinion, Alessa destroyed Lisa's eyes simply because Lisa looked. In Alessa's eyes, Lisa was disgusted with her. Remember, Alessa was ridiculed for so long, she probably thinks everyone is against her, bar her mommy. While it is wrong of Alessa to burn Lisa's eyes, I do get the feeling that Lisa recieves closure and forgiveness (giving and recieving from Alessa) at the end of the film

She was looking after Alissa in the hospital. Alissa was in pain and needed help, and actually dying.. Her punishment was for Running out of the room in shock and disgust, leaving her alone. Alessa died/made the deal moments afterwards.
In the first SH game there was a puppet nurse, which I don't really think resembled anything other the fact you ran around a hospital.
Where as the bubble head nurse was to do with James and his memory of Mary's hospitalization, and their shapely bodies where also to do with James to show is sexual frustration.
tbh i dnt even get why shes in the film seeing as it doesnt seem to have anything to do with the games apart from the fact that its set in silent hill and all tht lol oh, and tht cybil and pyramid head are in it, again making no sense with regards to the game series....i thnk
I don't know about the movie (I heard they changed a lot) but in the game:
-Spoiler- Harry (Main Character) finds Lisa, after she's gone to the basement and realizes she's dead. It's a sad scene, she starts bleeding and walking toward him, crying, and he runs away from her. You then find out she was Alessa's nurse.
She's also a pretty major character in Silent Hill Origins... It's when she was younger... being a prequel, her role ends when *SPOILER* Travis finds her dealing with Kauff' to fuel her drug habit, she becomes pissed at Travis and storms off.
she didnt seem to have aged much in 30 years...am i miossing something-i kinda get the story mostly. just little things like that confused me. shouldnt alessas real mother and that nurse have been older?

Well in the movie , Lisa did die in the fire like the rest of the town. The people in the dark half of it are stuck there meaning anyone from the outside world can't see , hear , or physically touch them. *note:the end of movie Rose gets home with Sharon and the husband can sense them but cant see or hear them rosa and sharon could leave SH but not the dark half noting why Christopher can't see or hear them.
it confused me a little the first time i watched it but i really liked it. im normally a fan of the older horror filmes like hellraiser and stuff but silent hill impressed me-it was so atmospheric and creepy! fantastic film! some one told me theyre gonna make a second one-bet thatll be good!
Bassically the ending sums it up... Sharon and Rose drawn to silent hill by the "Darkside of Allessa", to initiate Allessa's Revenge on the people who tortured her and fueled her strong hatred.
Unfortuanetly, they are forced to suffer a car crash (near the start of the film) to manifest there, they'd be presumed dead/missing in "The world full of life", and stuck forever in the Limbo/Fog World... That's how I saw it, it's like the Silent Hill games' not-so-sunshine endings...

Maybe they weren't what fans expected, but you also have to remember that no everyone in the world has played Resident Evil.
So, movie goers wouldn't catch the little things that the gamers would.

@Kigorusan: It would have been a lot better if Pyramid Head had more of a point than just being there as a fan favorite.
Aside from that, they westernized it too much. Even taking out the fact it wasn't supposed to be exactly like the game, the movie was still horrible.

She got closure when Alyssa received it. She was scarred by the hate Alyssa possessed. So when the hate was relieved, she was able to move on.

I dont see why movies have to stick to the games.
I mean, its like a second story, rather than having to stick to the same one.
Besides, its a movie, not a game, and them 2 are very different, so i dont see why the story portraited cant be either :(

But I think obviously most fans of this movie, wanted it to be more about the game...
Unfortunately for them movie directors usually don't follow the game's storylines unless its like a sequel or prequel to the game because it(the plot) was already done in the game...
Why waste money retelling the story just in movie format?

because maybe then you don't have to spend hours getting through the game to know how it ends and can just watch the whole movie instead???...so you can see the action packed or strange story game that you love so much actually come to life motion captures and all?

It's not even technically a remake, though, they've said it's a "re-imagining" or something.
I mean, hey, at least they've openly stated they don't think it should be canon.

She was looking after Alissa in the hospital. Alissa was in pain and needed help, and actually dying.. Her punishment was for Running out of the room in shock and disgust, leaving her alone. Alessa died/made the deal moments afterwards.

In the first SH game there was a puppet nurse, which I don't really think resembled anything other the fact you ran around a hospital.
Where as the bubble head nurse was to do with James and his memory of Mary's hospitalization, and their shapely bodies where also to do with James to show is sexual frustration.

I don't know about the movie (I heard they changed a lot) but in the game:
-Spoiler- Harry (Main Character) finds Lisa, after she's gone to the basement and realizes she's dead. It's a sad scene, she starts bleeding and walking toward him, crying, and he runs away from her. You then find out she was Alessa's nurse.

She's also a pretty major character in Silent Hill Origins... It's when she was younger... being a prequel, her role ends when *SPOILER* Travis finds her dealing with Kauff' to fuel her drug habit, she becomes pissed at Travis and storms off.

Well in the movie , Lisa did die in the fire like the rest of the town. The people in the dark half of it are stuck there meaning anyone from the outside world can't see , hear , or physically touch them. *note:the end of movie Rose gets home with Sharon and the husband can sense them but cant see or hear them rosa and sharon could leave SH but not the dark half noting why Christopher can't see or hear them.

it confused me a little the first time i watched it but i really liked it. im normally a fan of the older horror filmes like hellraiser and stuff but silent hill impressed me-it was so atmospheric and creepy! fantastic film! some one told me theyre gonna make a second one-bet thatll be good!

Bassically the ending sums it up... Sharon and Rose drawn to silent hill by the "Darkside of Allessa", to initiate Allessa's Revenge on the people who tortured her and fueled her strong hatred.
Unfortuanetly, they are forced to suffer a car crash (near the start of the film) to manifest there, they'd be presumed dead/missing in "The world full of life", and stuck forever in the Limbo/Fog World... That's how I saw it, it's like the Silent Hill games' not-so-sunshine endings...
