  • Thank you for the upload!

  • I found this movie from various videos, but I was wondering if you knew the difference between this one and this one (herbie8551's video) which looks 20 minutes longer. I only ask because I wanted to watch the "better" version.

  • GIVE IT UP for Karl Freund!

  • @DasGoldenBoy You're darn tootin'. Wasn't he the first to use tracking shots? In the Lugosi version of Dracula there are some good, moving camera shots early on. Very interesting for the day.

  • @majorhepcat He lensed some of the classics from the silents into early tv!

  • wiki sez 1915...

    oh.. now i see

  • Well, Wiki can go #!!$%^&&*)((##!!!...Just kidding...Kino Video, (they release restored versions of silent films), says 1920 so I used that date. It may be the U.S. release date, not sure...

  • @majorhepcat i know sorry ... it was the lost films...

  • @majorhepcat

There is indeed a film called "Golem" from 1915, also by Wegener. This film ("Der Golem, wie er in die Welt kam") is from 1920, though. So you're kinda right but you might want to change the title of the video. Thanks for the upload, by the way!
