I think that i get 15 fps with quetoo on the n800, it is not using the 3d hardware on the device because nokia didnt realease the libraries, it is soft rendering. If you want you can try the game, my quetoo build is on the maemo garage, search for quetoo. And yes, the game is multiplayer.

I thought that the N800 doesn't have 3D acceleration? I'd agree with shoreserenity that it'd probably get less than 1 frames per second.

I'd really like to clarification on how fast or slow various graphics operations are. Can we compete with the iPhone / iPod touch or not with this thing?

Yeah, this show how the device improved from the previous one. We'd compiled the quake 1 and 2 for the 770 and it ran at mere 0.5 fps. IF quake 2 is running like that (I know it's not fast yet, but really shows the underling power) and I think there's more power to be unleashed =)
