People on here direct away from the main issue, im a english horse rider, i own my own horse, im vegan, and i dont use spurs, a crop, and any unnatural aids, the fact is some people here are concered when a horse goes down, others are not, they dont advertise the injuries etc, because it would be too distressing, the horses, bulls, steers etc, are frightened, they just want to get away so can be clumsy with their footing, i dont agree with this atall, but people should be always be aware.
Some rodeo events are cruel. Some are not. Some people are cruel. Some are not. I know a lot of people that do gaming with their horses. They are not cruel to their animals. I also know a girl that was caught beating her horse with a metal stick and snatching the animal's mouth with a snaffle bit, making her tongue bleed. Please recall that not all rodeos and people are cruel to their animals, but some indeed are.
im not saying that they are not mean to animals but in this video if you pause it at 0:35 you can see when the bull jumped up and was coming down it got its foot stuck in the fence and thats what broke its leg
@SHARKonlineorg I never said they didn't, i think every Rodeo is cruel to animals if people don't see the ruthlessness in it then they must be pitiless.
well let me tell you i will be there this year and i will show you what i am good at beating the shit out of and it wont be a harmless animal so keep talkin your only gonna make it worse for yourself and your people
@SHARKonlineorg thats not criminal threatening im a police officer he never directly said that he was coming after you so therefore it would not hold up in court
@RankBullRider When did you graduate your state's police academy? Have you even graduated HS yet? According to your profile, you're a 19 yr old dispatcher. A wannabe, not a police officer.
When you get a chance, find a dictionary and learn the term 'threatening'.
@SHARKonlineorg dont need to go to academy for that you idiot its common fucking sense and me dispatching gives me the time to know these laws so go ahead and something else smartass all your doing is making yourself look like an idiot to everybody on here. why dont you look at the pbr and tell me if you can find anything illegal going on there o wait i forgot you only go for the smaller parties in rodeo.
@RankBullRider12 ""im a police officer"" You do know impersonating a police officer is against the law, don't you? Expect someone in the PCSO to talk to you about it.
btw: PRCA is no 'small party'. It is the rodeo association with the most members.
have you ever been behind the beaches probably not cuz you would get your ass kicked but those bulls and horses get better medical care then the cowboys do and rodeo bulls never end up on a grill when they are retired they live the rest of there life on a pasture being treated like kings so get off this rodeo is cruel shit cuz you dont know a damn thing
@burbanjoe ""behind the beaches"" LOL. We're at CFD every year, and our photos are posted so everyone knows who we are. Guess what? All the costumed sissies and their supporters don't even try to come near us. You're all talk and little man bravado. You're only good at beating up and harming animals.
If you pay attention to the bull his leg gets caught up in the gate.. really all you people are fucking idiots. if you dont like to see some peoples way of life dont pay to come to sit in the stands and watch the events. Its not Cruelty in our eyes, so why dont you stupid ass people just keep your mouths shut and worry about your own life and quit talking shit about ours.
@sammiejo201192 And the people who put the bull inside the gate are to blame for the bull's broken leg and suffering. Abusing animals as a way of life is nothing to be proud of.
@SHARKonlineorg what is the ratio of animals that get hurt to animals that don't get hurt in these competitions across the nation, Im sure more horses die from colic then being mistreated at rodeo events. most of these bull breeders care greatly about these animals and Im willing to bet that they spend WAY WAY more on these animals then they spend on themselves.
@ashleynugent ""the ratio of animals that get hurt to animals that don't get hurt "" Doesn't matter, especially to the individual animals suffering injuries so some fools can have fun and win prizes.
@hthrprtt ""What's the big deal? Gonna end up on the grill anyways"" Thank you for validating what we've been saying all along about rodeo supporters' attitude towards animal suffering.
I rodeo myself, Im an 11 year old girl and we treat out cows good, Theres no shame in roping, really. And its not the riders fault, they don't know much baout the cow if they have a weak spot or anything. But I will tell you this, I havn't harmed a cow in my life :)
It seems most people these days care more about animals then people who gives a fuck why don't you quit bullshitting around and take a stand against abortion or something cause that's murder and nobody fucking cares
@alanhurff ""care more about animals then people"" And here you are wasting your time and energy trolling an animal channel when you could actually be doing something you're telling us to do.
As someone who lost a friend while he was working (not rodeo-ing) with his stock, I care a great deal about the young lives I see here. Easy way out of real life, that's rodeo. Ranching is NOT rodeo.
Bull-teasing, calf-jerking, horse & steer-splatting. That is NOT how ranches do it. Yet thousands of youngsters will be cheering, watching a domestic animal struggle, because their Moms and Dad's love it. Sad, really. How many kids hurt/killed for a bragging right? Evolve, kids. Please.
do u really think it only happens there? just in wy? come on get real and grow up! how about pbr. u dont think a bull has ever broke a leg in that circuit?
@keystone460 ""do u really think it only happens there? just in wy?"" We know rodeo animal abuse doesn't only happen in WY. And we appreciate you pointing it out.
@shaunac2005 Accidents happen on farms. Rodeo is not accidental. It's preventable animal abuse that rodeo doesn't try to prevent. You don't see farmers putting flank straps on cattle forcing them to buck unnaturally and without control as you do in rodeo.
@SHARKonlineorg Technically, rodeo accidents aren't abuse. They never intended to injure the animal, and for it to be called abuse there requires an element of intent. Because without intent what is often mislabeled abuse is actually an accident. And where flank straps are concerned, I'd like to draw a vague parallel between heifers kicking while in the milking parlour. Is that abuse? Because there's no intent on the part of the milker.
Ugh! I can't believe this!! I'm not going now. Here's the story. For my birthday my parents bought tickets here, I searched up videos of this rodeo and then I saw this. And watched a couple more of these vids you showed. Now I said refund and showed them the visor. Thank you for showing me this.
Shark...you are a pure retard if you were actually in rodeo you would be alot smarter than you r now and yes you have nothing better to do than to mess with people all day
People who participate in and support rodeos have such a lot of growing up to do to even be considered rational adults. Pathetic & cruel. Shut these torture houses down!
@TheJjohnston100, classic diversionary tactic. What about (fill in the blank.) Doesn't make this abuse right, comparing to other wrongs. I guess you don't read very much. Eight Belles, Barbaro, many other horses have lost their lives in the racing "game", and there WAS massive public outcry. Many people (like myself) have quit watching these sports.
@AnimalLeftist And where was this outcry? I recall a number of years ago at the Cheltenham festival held every March that there were five horse euthanised due to injury. And there was no outcry
@shaunac2005, "there was no outcry" from you, obviously. Horses break down just walking around. I know that. So do bulls. Again, I know that. How is this okay, in your mind? Would you rather see an animal tormented, or trained? Do you torment your horse with a flank strap, for fun? Slam him in a chute, watch him struggle in the chute, then fire him out, watch him buck out of control, and run head first into a wall? Racehorses love to run. Haven't seen a happy bronc yet.
@AnimalLeftist i have senn plenty of happy broncs infact i own one and i also can ride her as a normal horse its dangerous cause when she gets to feeling good she will throw in what she loves to do and thats to BUCK and injure ppl and im sorry i will give you guys this cheyenne rodeo are unusally rough with thier animal and it looks to me some very small and not so athletic broncs and bulls in these but this happens even in average day things like in the pasture
@breezy3991 ""it looks to me some very small and not so athletic broncs and bulls "" Considering these animals are from Harry Vold Rodeo Co., one of the PRCAs top contractors, thank you.
@SHARKonlineorg welp they are smaller then the usual stock i see but still think you are over reacting about acidents happening at a very large know rodeo and the reason the announcer never freaks out about injured stock is to keep the crowd from freaking out and trust me they ened up paying for the injured stock cuz contraactors dont take light on it
@breezy3991 The stock contractors are right there, assisting in the abuse. When animals are consistently injured, as what happens at rodeos, injuries are no longer accidents, but the result of indiffference towards the animals' welfare and health.
@breezy3991, um, normal horses buck when they feel good. They can easily be trained to buck. Horses buck in play, or fear. If they are flank-strapped, ANY horse will buck, with no training at all. Do you call this WHR "play" for a horse?. I guess you haven't had much experience with horses yet. So sad, you kids today just don't see the abuse here. What does that tell you about upcoming horse-people? Not looking good for horses, that's for sure.
@aggieblue215 are you a fucking idiot? This shit wouldnt happen if pricks like these didnt hurt animals for entertainment. 'Stuff like this happens all the time' lol. When do you ever see animals breaking their legs for no reason? Its these pricks and pricks like you who need to be abused! Have you ever broken your leg its fucking excruciating!!!
Anyone that supports the cheyenne rodeo needs to rot. they need to just sit there in a thousand degree weath and rot! sorry but this is pathetic disguisting work of monsters they dont deserve to own an animal.
Yep, the bull broke it's leg. It happens. I didn't see anyone out there breaking that bull's leg. Animals can step wrong and break their legs all by themselves. And vets can fix those. Depending on if that bull was a great bull or not it will probably be fixed and used for breeding, or it may end up a tasty meal as God intended. I've seen a horse break it's leg. It was horrible. Was it anyone's fault? No. Stuff happens, get over it.
@SHARKonlineorg I highly doubt that the companys that support this rodeo meant that they support the bull breaking his leg and i bet you could have went and asked every participant at that rodeo and not a single one would have said that they actually wanted the bull to break it's leg. You have no proof that the bull was shot they dnt have proof that it wasn't so why would anybody believe either one...Have actual proof.
@predatorpro1 Do tell everyone what would a rodeo do with a bucking bull with a broken leg? As for the sponsors, they don't care animals are injured. As for the participants, actual intent doesn't matter. They know these events are injurious to animals and force them to perform anyway.
@aggieblue215 Ever had a broken bone? There's no way a human could have been run out of that arena, being chased and roped, with say a broken femur bone. The bull's dangling leg probably happened because of the hyped sensation of the event. To get him to buck really good, someone ran a volt of electricity to his rear end, or jabbed him with something sharp and he probably kicked the wall hard. Also, don't fool yourself, this bull died that day. Injuries cost big bucks and recooperation.
@aggieblue215 no they wont? are you dumb? my father raises animals for such things and they get shot in the head, i can remember once it took 13 bullets to kill a cow with a broken leg and it still took forever, and i cussed his ass out in front of his workers and left him to herd the rest himself. and no they dont, cattle dont buck and jump, the walk, SOMETIMES a slow run, unless a human scares them, the dont even live naturally in places with predators to have to defend themselves
hey all i have to say about this is shit happens. stock contractors want their bulls to be the best. they want them in the nfr, cfr and big rodeos like the Calgary stampede. so why in the hell would these contractors abuse their animals. Hell the calgary stampede ranch contracts to rodeos and they have a grave yard for the best of their stock. like i said shit happens.
@ljans2 , yeah, it's called the slaughterhouse. Once they're done, they're done. And you "done" 'em. Who gives a shit? Just packs of protein. Stupid, pointless, cruel. That's rodeo.
Accidents happen. No, it's not the bull's fault that it was taken to the rodeo. Or made to be ridden. Riders can get hurt aswell, not only the animals. My family has raised cattle and livestock all my life, and I know from experience it takes alot to hurt a bull. As I've said, these things happen. It was no-one's fault.
@ljans2 We're living our lives. Exposing rodeo animal abuse. You stay hidden in the closet, make believe abuse doesn't happen; others like us will do something about it.
@Annandhorses Stop winging about riders getting hurt. Riders have a choice to do this if they want to, they have the option to back out. Animals don't.
About the pain thing, are you suggesting animals don't suffer in pain like we do? Oh right ok, because I know for certain they have pain sensors just like us, they may not show it like we do, but they are in pain.
@HowToEquineEdition Who put the bull in that situation? Hint: not the bull. Sad that you can dismiss an animal breaking its leg for your entertainment.
watch the video you can clearly see the bull hits his leg against the chute as he comes out and turns to the right..how is a self inflicted injury like that caused by human abuse? ive watched several of your vids trying to see your aspect of this thing you call abuse man i raise all kinds of livestock horses pigs cattle goats and dogs we have common injurys like this were an animal will turn to quickly or run into a feeding trough and injure itself sometimes to where it needs to be put down
@pbking09 "self inflicted injury" Who brought the bull to the rodeo? Who brought the chutes? Who put the bull in the chute and who tightened a flank strap on the bull to make it buck to get it off?
@SHARKonlineorg ok! number one, stock contractors care A LOT about their bulls, which means that animal is probably gonna get the best care it can get. Do not be dis-ing Cheyenne Rodeo just because you disagree. Hundreds of people get hurt daily by accidents, CAUSED BY THEIR OWN STUPIDITY. Do not even begin to argue that this is human's doing, because there are stupid animals out there. Injuries happen all the time at rodeos. You're just picking the ones you can use to boost your wrong ideas.
@Inuyashagottalovehim haha you are so naive have you seen the calve roping when the calf breaks its back and starts fitting but the cowboy continues wanting to get a good time and when he realises goes in a strop and leaves it to be dragged across the floor by the horse with a rope around its neck, lots of animals die at rodeos NOT by coincidence and it is always the persons fault if it wasn't for the CRUEL flank strap or the rider on its back the bull wouldn't have broke its leg
@pbking09 I see that and I agree with that people need to be more respectful about the animals and have a better knowledge what they are doing when something like this happens or they could be caught and probably be found lying
Seriously? Rodeos are "America's shame"? It's just a bull. It's a dang steak. I used to think I was an animal rights activist too back when I was 16, then I grew up. This poutrage over an inferior beast is far more shameful, especially when millions of HUMANS live in poverty.
What are you doing about the millions of humans living in poverty? Imagine the meals your internet access fee could feed an impoverished person every month. Going to sacrifice that for someone?
Look in the mirror next time you use the word shameful.
bridleless girl, your just an example of how you people see reality of this sick stuff, is it the bulls fault or the humans fault? thats what wee have to ask ourselves, who is responable for the bull? DO YOU UNDERSTAND? DO YOU GET IT! To all you rodeo loveing guys, PLEASE get re-educated in how to get the best out of the world and humanity, because you really do not look like nice people at all, you are stuck in the past and the world has changed, move on, be good people for GOD sakes (CHANGE)
the bull looses its balance at 37secs breaks it leg in the process and at about 38-39 secs it looks like a dislocation with the bump on the inner right leg just above the ankel and right around 42-43 seconds you can see the leg flop the bull trys to walk on it but you clearley see the bull is in pain from the moment he looses its balance and breaks its leg this is not animal crulty after 7-8 seconds of reliseing the bull is injured keeping it going is iem just being observent
@SHARKonlineorg uhh ya he came out of the chute wrong thats no differant then u tripping and breaking ur ankels itsUR flaut duh!! whatch how he came out!
IT IS THERE fault u imbred imbecil they are using walls with gaps in it normally for a save envirment for U and the animal u use closed wallss with little stepps on it so the cowboys can still jump on them but the animal cant get stuck in them
@AfterlifeNDE We addressed your issue in the private message you sent. However, we will state here that we are not dragging down all Americans, because rodeo is not 'all American'. It is a regionally based affliction that, while it has spread like an annoying disease, it does not represent our great country as a whole.
hey us "idiotic rednecks" have to find a way to make money too we werent born into rich families we have to work for what we got I ride bulls and ive never seen this happen its jst a freak accident people dont understand the history behind rodeo how the west was built on this way of life my heros have always been cowboys and they will be till the day i die people can fuss and wine all they want but at the end of the day i can look in the mirror and say im proud of who i am and were i came from
@cowboy4life10 You have to spend money to rodeo, so that 'making money to live' nonsense doesn't wash.
""my heros have always been cowboys"" That's the problem. Rodeo people are stuck in the idyllic nonsense of movies and song, not the reality that animals are being harmed for your entertainment.
The horses and bulls look sooo weak! Falling, etc. I guarenteed if theyvwere truly healthy they wouldn't be falling alot. and yes, they are idiotic rednecks.
@WAHfilms ""yall make it all look so bad"" We filmed what actually happened. That it looks 'so bad' is because rodeo made it that way. Accident? No. The probability/possibility of animal injuries and death is consistently there.
i want to break everyone in the arena legs because they didn't even let him go or anything! they should have stopped roping him and stop making him kick! D:< gawsh why are people such assholes lately?!
If people pay good money to go and watch this 'entertainment' then I guess that they must have more money than sense in their thick heads, nearly as much sense that matches the big, brave men that terrorise and torture the animals that are forced to take part in this so-called 'entertainment'.
Hey city folk, dont listen to this, its BS. Not all rodeo are like this. Maybe 40-45% are. All rodeos where i live, the animals are treated like family. If you want to see some cruelty go look up some slaughter house videos. That that will make your jaw drop, and make you eyes pop out of your head with horror and discust.
@BarrelRacer955 How about the PRCA and AQHA not only promoting horse slaughter, but also lobbying against the law that would make transporting horses across the border a felony, and working to reopen US slaughterhouses? Doesn't that make your eyes pop out of your head, so-called barrel racer?
@totalhunterjumper Cheyenne is a Native American people hundreds of years older than the city which tarnishes their name. Think about your dog being named for those resilient people instead of for a mecca of animal abuse.
You're watching those rodeos with the wrong attitude in mind. If you went up to the main man and talked to him about it right after, he would be sad and definately ashamed, but in Cheyenne EVERYTHING is rodeo, that place would be screwed without it, an animal dies, its sad, (I am an animal lover, actually, but I also am a cattle farmer, and a barrel racer) and life and goes on
@hgiahb you dont deserve to touch an animal with that "attitude" actually you should go rot with the rest of the freaks that like to do this. just because you think its sad doesnt mean shit. if you cared you wouldnt support it!
@TheExoticAnimal Life does go on, because you know that regardless of how hard it was losing an animal, there remains to be more of them requiring your attention. As the old saying goes, wipe off the blood and get back on the bull. Forgive the pun
@shaunac2005 The only reason to ride a bull, except for the few perhaps who ride them as props in parades, is to antagonize it to win a prize. A completely unnecessary activity.
@SHARKonlineorg antagonize? how come you guys dont show the success of rodeo or the people who get hurt? more riders get injured than animals this was just a freak accident its like if two kids give eachother a piggyback ride and one gets hurt is that child cruelty? i understand that you guys care for animals i do to but i ride bulls and in this past year ive been on atleast 100 bulls and none have been injured or even gotton a scratch from it.. but me it was the opposite i recived the injuries
@12101635 Rodeo coddles its injured contestants while hiding its animal injury and death records. Go ask them why they do that, then get back to us. The only success we see in rodeo is its success in harming and killing animals with no recourse by law.
Rodeo is a rough sport, things happen, football is a sport, and nfl players are getting alzheimers from they're head injuries, but no one complains to their coaches, and the coordiantors of football, the bull can be used as hamburger now, get over it, The rodeo coordiantors of Cheyenne try their best to keep everyone, and every thing, safe, as in any other sports
@hgiahb Among all the rodeos we've documented, Cheyenne is, hands down, the most abusive. And since the intent is there to not stop the abusive events when animals are being injured year after year, we say with all certainty and conviction that CFD rodeo and the PRCA do not care that the animals are being harmed or killed.
a bull can break his leg out in the feild just like anything or anyone else can runnin around rodeo has been around how long ? just dont watch it and stay in the city ! thank got we have power and water now days ppl would not know what to do anymore damn city folk
@Brwano Excuse me, but I`m a christian and I`m against this crap! A lot of chirstians I know are against this! Where do you even get the idea that these "people" are christians?!
he most likely broke his leg from being in the chute... they kick and buck around in those be for time... i have seen a grown bull almost climb out of one with a rider on its back and it wasnt even time for the gate to open
@ollwynn Yes, It should look cool, but, Because it'd leg was broken, they should have sedated the bull, pulled the rider and put him on another bull so they could help the first heal his leg.
@Wolfgirl2help that bulls leg aint gettin fixed i love rodeo and am a bull rider but the best they can do for that bull is put him down which i'm sure they did as soon as they could
Idiot. Whats the cost for this animals life? 8 seconds of fame? Has that what you idiots stooped to? Oh wait, nevermind. This sport has been goin' on for 'centuries'. So that makes it okay!
@vambrave5136 They claim they pinned his leg, spent lots of money, the owner cried, blah blah blah, but no one's showing proof; and the fact that the rodeo has been proven to lie about injuries, we've no doubt this animal is no longer living.
@harriscowgirl are you kidding me do you know the conformations of cows and bulls?? if you do then you must know that this buul broke his hockjoint already in the gate his leg begame stuck in the fence and everybody that has knolledge of animal conformations know that this is the end of this poor bulls life his life ended in the shoot as you people call it.
I have lived my whole life with animals and have have seen many injuries and this is a deadly one so who's the blind person?? i think you!
oh God is that a bad flopping in the air broken leg, :( shows how damaging to bones those steel pipes are. The BLM always has broken legs and broken necks and backs when the wild horses crash and panic against steel bars. That footage is TV quality. !
@sunlei5 Would you rather see these horses in a roundup and adopted or starving to death from over population? I am sure that you are independantly wealthy and can afford to feed 5 or 6 hundred head of horses. What solution do you propose?
@FullDeck03 Rodeo stock contractors are primarily responsible for overbreeding horses in order to supply rodeo. They are little different than puppy millers. All those horses they purposely produce are their responsiblity.
@SHARKonlineorg Could I suggest "A Modest Proposal" and use the abundant supply of horse flesh to end world hunger. Or is the romanticism of the horse and the west stronger than that of an appetite?
@FullDeck03 You actually believe that it would just take the available horses to end world hunger? Does that include the sick and diseased that go through the slaugher plants as well? Do you advocate the feeding of diseased meat to whet a hungry child's appetite? And what about the countries that refuse US horsemeat because of all the vaccinations and wormers in the animals? Your blanket 'Modest Proposal' has many holes in it. And is romanticism and narrow-visioned to say the least.
It was so clear that the leg was broken, yet nobody even tried to stop this monster from his attempt to win a buckle at the expense of an innocent animal. This poor bull was clearly in agony. They didn't even bother to take off the strap, so he kept on tring to buck from the pain of that AND his broken leg. A waste of a precious life because of a worthless scum's ego.
LOL, some moronic tramp is trying to defend this stuff? Really?
Listen you brainless whore, Rodeo's are evil display's put on as entertainment events for stupid people such as yourself. You quite obviously think that forcing animals to participate in these activities is fun (for you) so there is little point in continuing. Hey, how about next year we switch out the animals for your retarded children and abuse them instead you idiotic excuse for a human being.
The very next day at the rodeo they said that the owner of the bull paid the vet bills and fixed the bull's knee...therefore it was NOT fatal and rodeo is not only for abuse. There is always a vet on call at all rodeo events (including PBR), and rodeo is not nearly as bad as you make it sound! This is the first bull that has been broken EVER in the history of Cheyenne Frontier Days and this was its 114th year. Everyone in Cheyenne loves CFD, and if you don't, how about you just don't come! :)
@harriscowgirl BTW, this is what rodeocowboy said in an earlier post: rodeocowboy6667
13 hours ago @RascalCoyote the bull was not killed in the rodeo arena it was taken to a vet to be humainy put down because YOU CAN NOT FIX A 1500-2000 LB animals leg humainly know what your talkin about before you go spreedin shit fuckin pussy lips
Absolute sick those people must be stopt i mean how can they keep on going to do what they wanna do.
Somethimes you wish that this would happen to those that hurt these animals for fun.
I'm always rejocying when they get beatup by big bulls and i don't care if they die, and i don't even live in the us!! SHAME to the US, SHAME tot CHEYENNE SHAME to all that like to hurt innocent animals
Rodeo's are cruel no matter how you look at it. People say its just a tradition and these cowboys love their animals... bullsh**! If you loved them you wouldn't take the risk of hurting it or even killing it. Has anyone ever wondered why there's a rope around his front and back well one of them is tying up his freakin balls so he'll buck! This isn't fair to these animals they don't have a choice. Thank you SHARKonlineorg you have some common sense. Ignore the hate comments!
Can't imagine what that bull - or any animal would do to deserve this kind of abusive treatment. All that suffering for a "thrill" and some "fun". So terribly sad... and shameful!
You are a bunch of uneducated idiots. These rodeo animals are treated better than some humans. If you had ever done some research and talked to some stock contractors about how the animals are treated you would not even think about acusing them of abuse.
People on here direct away from the main issue, im a english horse rider, i own my own horse, im vegan, and i dont use spurs, a crop, and any unnatural aids, the fact is some people here are concered when a horse goes down, others are not, they dont advertise the injuries etc, because it would be too distressing, the horses, bulls, steers etc, are frightened, they just want to get away so can be clumsy with their footing, i dont agree with this atall, but people should be always be aware.

sammiejo201192 1 month ago
@sammiejo201192 And the people who put the bull inside the gate are to blame for the bull's broken leg and suffering. Abusing animals as a way of life is nothing to be proud of.

@SHARKonlineorg what is the ratio of animals that get hurt to animals that don't get hurt in these competitions across the nation, Im sure more horses die from colic then being mistreated at rodeo events. most of these bull breeders care greatly about these animals and Im willing to bet that they spend WAY WAY more on these animals then they spend on themselves.

Please.

Cattle often break legs on farms, and it's very rare that that is treatable. Are you saying that farmers are to blame for that?
shaunac2005 5 months ago
@shaunac2005 Accidents happen on farms. Rodeo is not accidental. It's preventable animal abuse that rodeo doesn't try to prevent. You don't see farmers putting flank straps on cattle forcing them to buck unnaturally and without control as you do in rodeo.
SHARKonlineorg 5 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg Technically, rodeo accidents aren't abuse. They never intended to injure the animal, and for it to be called abuse there requires an element of intent. Because without intent what is often mislabeled abuse is actually an accident. And where flank straps are concerned, I'd like to draw a vague parallel between heifers kicking while in the milking parlour. Is that abuse? Because there's no intent on the part of the milker.
shaunac2005 5 months ago
@shaunac2005 ""for it to be called abuse there requires an element of intent."" Wrong. There's also negligence and indifference to suffering.
SHARKonlineorg 5 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg And while that may be true, the bull in question who broke his leg was euthanised, was he not?
shaunac2005 5 months ago
@shaunac2005 There was no absolute report from the rodeo.
SHARKonlineorg 5 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg But is there room for presumption?
shaunac2005 5 months ago
@shaunac2005 They either killed it or they didn't. What's to presume?
SHARKonlineorg 5 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg And bulls will buck and fight anyway if there's something on their back. At least in my observations.

@shaunac2005 Since rodeo is a totally needless activity which has been shown to harm animals, why put someone on a bull's back in the first place?

SHARKonlineorg 6 months ago
@TheJjohnston100, classic diversionary tactic. What about (fill in the blank.) Doesn't make this abuse right, comparing to other wrongs. I guess you don't read very much. Eight Belles, Barbaro, many other horses have lost their lives in the racing "game", and there WAS massive public outcry. Many people (like myself) have quit watching these sports.
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist And where was this outcry? I recall a number of years ago at the Cheltenham festival held every March that there were five horse euthanised due to injury. And there was no outcry
shaunac2005 5 months ago
@shaunac2005, "there was no outcry" from you, obviously. Horses break down just walking around. I know that. So do bulls. Again, I know that. How is this okay, in your mind? Would you rather see an animal tormented, or trained? Do you torment your horse with a flank strap, for fun? Slam him in a chute, watch him struggle in the chute, then fire him out, watch him buck out of control, and run head first into a wall? Racehorses love to run. Haven't seen a happy bronc yet.
AnimalLeftist 4 months ago
@AnimalLeftist i have senn plenty of happy broncs infact i own one and i also can ride her as a normal horse its dangerous cause when she gets to feeling good she will throw in what she loves to do and thats to BUCK and injure ppl and im sorry i will give you guys this cheyenne rodeo are unusally rough with thier animal and it looks to me some very small and not so athletic broncs and bulls in these but this happens even in average day things like in the pasture
breezy3991 2 months ago
@breezy3991 ""it looks to me some very small and not so athletic broncs and bulls "" Considering these animals are from Harry Vold Rodeo Co., one of the PRCAs top contractors, thank you.
SHARKonlineorg 2 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg welp they are smaller then the usual stock i see but still think you are over reacting about acidents happening at a very large know rodeo and the reason the announcer never freaks out about injured stock is to keep the crowd from freaking out and trust me they ened up paying for the injured stock cuz contraactors dont take light on it
breezy3991 2 months ago
@breezy3991 The stock contractors are right there, assisting in the abuse. When animals are consistently injured, as what happens at rodeos, injuries are no longer accidents, but the result of indiffference towards the animals' welfare and health.
SHARKonlineorg 2 months ago
@breezy3991, um, normal horses buck when they feel good. They can easily be trained to buck. Horses buck in play, or fear. If they are flank-strapped, ANY horse will buck, with no training at all. Do you call this WHR "play" for a horse?. I guess you haven't had much experience with horses yet. So sad, you kids today just don't see the abuse here. What does that tell you about upcoming horse-people? Not looking good for horses, that's for sure.

No. Stuff happens, get over it.
aggieblue215 7 months ago
@aggieblue215 There's the typical rhetoric of indifference from someone who supports rodeo animal abuse.
SHARKonlineorg 7 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg I highly doubt that the companys that support this rodeo meant that they support the bull breaking his leg and i bet you could have went and asked every participant at that rodeo and not a single one would have said that they actually wanted the bull to break it's leg. You have no proof that the bull was shot they dnt have proof that it wasn't so why would anybody believe either one...Have actual proof.
predatorpro1 6 months ago
@predatorpro1 Do tell everyone what would a rodeo do with a bucking bull with a broken leg? As for the sponsors, they don't care animals are injured. As for the participants, actual intent doesn't matter. They know these events are injurious to animals and force them to perform anyway.
SHARKonlineorg 5 months ago
@aggieblue215 Ever had a broken bone? There's no way a human could have been run out of that arena, being chased and roped, with say a broken femur bone. The bull's dangling leg probably happened because of the hyped sensation of the event. To get him to buck really good, someone ran a volt of electricity to his rear end, or jabbed him with something sharp and he probably kicked the wall hard. Also, don't fool yourself, this bull died that day. Injuries cost big bucks and recooperation.

pbking09 10 months ago
@pbking09 "self inflicted injury" Who brought the bull to the rodeo? Who brought the chutes? Who put the bull in the chute and who tightened a flank strap on the bull to make it buck to get it off?
SHARKonlineorg 10 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg ok! number one, stock contractors care A LOT about their bulls, which means that animal is probably gonna get the best care it can get. Do not be dis-ing Cheyenne Rodeo just because you disagree. Hundreds of people get hurt daily by accidents, CAUSED BY THEIR OWN STUPIDITY. Do not even begin to argue that this is human's doing, because there are stupid animals out there. Injuries happen all the time at rodeos. You're just picking the ones you can use to boost your wrong ideas.

sunlei5 1 year ago
@sunlei5 Would you rather see these horses in a roundup and adopted or starving to death from over population? I am sure that you are independantly wealthy and can afford to feed 5 or 6 hundred head of horses. What solution do you propose?
FullDeck03 1 year ago
@FullDeck03 Rodeo stock contractors are primarily responsible for overbreeding horses in order to supply rodeo. They are little different than puppy millers. All those horses they purposely produce are their responsiblity.

@SHARKonlineorg Could I suggest "A Modest Proposal" and use the abundant supply of horse flesh to end world hunger. Or is the romanticism of the horse and the west stronger than that of an appetite?
FullDeck03 1 year ago

FlipOrlando 1 year ago
The very next day at the rodeo they said that the owner of the bull paid the vet bills and fixed the bull's knee...therefore it was NOT fatal and rodeo is not only for abuse. There is always a vet on call at all rodeo events (including PBR), and rodeo is not nearly as bad as you make it sound! This is the first bull that has been broken EVER in the history of Cheyenne Frontier Days and this was its 114th year. Everyone in Cheyenne loves CFD, and if you don't, how about you just don't come! :)

@harriscowgirl "" rodeo is not nearly as bad as you make it sound!"" Not nearly as bad. Thanks for that.

So, which rodeo people are believable?
SHARKonlineorg 1 year ago
@harriscowgirl do you really believe that? You got to be kidding or you are one of the most naive people...

SHAME to the US, SHAME tot CHEYENNE SHAME to all that like to hurt innocent animals
aztib 1 year ago
Who pays to watch intelligent, feeling animals be abused? I feel so sorry for this poor bull.
Gloriapower 1 year ago
Rodeo's are cruel no matter how you look at it. People say its just a tradition and these cowboys love their animals... bullsh**! If you loved them you wouldn't take the risk of hurting it or even killing it. Has anyone ever wondered why there's a rope around his front and back well one of them is tying up his freakin balls so he'll buck! This isn't fair to these animals they don't have a choice. Thank you SHARKonlineorg you have some common sense. Ignore the hate comments!
hannahjoyquinn 1 year ago
Can't imagine what that bull - or any animal would do to deserve this kind of abusive treatment. All that suffering for a "thrill" and some "fun". So terribly sad... and shameful!

I think all of you should shut the fuck up and go fuck your self. i think im gonna have steak for diner.yum yum
sickclick5150 1 year ago
You are a bunch of uneducated idiots. These rodeo animals are treated better than some humans. If you had ever done some research and talked to some stock contractors about how the animals are treated you would not even think about acusing them of abuse.
ILGooseKillin 1 year ago
@ILGooseKillin You mean the rodeo stock contractors that have been found guilty and fined for animal cruelty?
