  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this!

  • Oleeeeeee Gitano!!! True, Castellano!!!!

  • Oleeeeeee Gitano!!!

  • @stringtease: your post is "too funny"... Yes, French provencial language... The current members are all from France... Look up the word "Provencial" in the dictionary: "of or pertaining to a provence in France"... The word "provencial" is also commonly used to refer to a local and distinct area...Hence, they speak their French provencial language.. Einstein, make sure you know what you are talking about before you click the "comment" button

  • @carracoleo: you're confused and your post does not make sense; I never said they speak "french gypsy," nor is there such a language called "french gypsy"... judging by your youtube name, I'm assuming you speak spanish, therefore, that is why you understand some of what they are saying...you're done, goodbye, please refrain from commenting further so that you don't look like an idiot again

  • Asi se toca Tonino !!!!!!

  • French provincial language? That is ridiculous! I don't speak 'French Gypsy' but how come I understand these songs knucklehead?

  • rumbaking..obviously u are ignorant as to what palo is which..they are definitely fandangos, so learn ur stuff..and yes, they are better at rumba, but they know their plos at least

  • what is the song about?

  • wow, bravissimo!

  • Wow can anybody tell me the name of the songs they sang?

  • son fandangos

  • nicolas eres un fiera primo

  • nicolas eres un fiera cantando voz pura jitana

  • Pinescar, Tu tiene razon la primera dos si son Fandangos pero son Fandangos Naturales en el mismo tono de las Seguirillas....por eso me confundi! Gracias por aclarar el asunto. Que vive los Gipsy Kings!!! OLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SON FANDANGOS

  • Sounds great but neither song played is a Fandango. The first is a seguiriyas and the second is Tangos. Interesting to hear them play real Flamenco for a change. Although I can tell they are not real masters of either of these styles which is Ok since their specialty is after all Rumba. After all they the Kings of the Rumba guitar. I believe Canu & Tonino also play Bulerias.

  • NO SEÑOR LA PRIMERA ES UN fandango, de donde te sacas la siguiriya...?la siguirilla viene de la toná y el fandango no es ni de la misma rama, LO SEGUNDO SI SON TANGOS

  • theres even a line in this video where he says "...tengo sangre pura GITANA..." 2:00

  • It's a shame, but most Gipsy Kings fans don't care for the authentic Flamenco like Fandago and Segriuyas...they just want to hear rumba rumba rumba.

  • Toda la razon del mundo.!!

  • The language is Spanish; to be precise - Andalusian dialect of Spanish.

  • No, they speak Calo (a.k.a. Gitane)a mixture of spanish and their french provencial language. Also, there is NO Andalucian dialect ask any person from Andalucia (i.e. sevilla, cordoba, cadiz, etc..), and he or she will tell you that they speak Castellano, it is not a different dialect. They have a different accent because they speak much faster than the rest of spain, but it still Castellano.

  • am i at least on the rite track, rmbaflamco12?

  • @rmbaflmco12 OMG you're serious : ''their french provencial language'' !!!

Seriously man you're too funny... no they don't speak provencal... (not provencial lol )

Provencial mean when you're not from Paris ^.^

  • @rmbaflmco12. I am Andalusian, and I've never read more rubbish together. First: "caló", not "calo", is not a mixture of Spanish and "provencial" French. Caló is the Spanish variant of Romany, the language of the gypsies. Second, the Gipsy Kings sing in "Andalusian" with a French accent, but in any case, do not sing in Romany, but in Spanish. Third, the Andalusian is a dialect of Spanish.

  • @SextoVario in response: #1- Calo (forgive me, I don't have the spanish accent mark available on my computer), as it pertains to the gispy kings, is a mixture of of their french provencial langauge and spanish. As I'm sure you are aware, gypsies migrate all over the world, and therefore do not all speak the same language. My comment with regards to Calo pertained only to the gipsy kings. Their specific variant of the romany language has significant french influence.

  • @SextoVario You also seem to be confused with understanding the difference between a "dialect" and an "accent." If you really are from Andalucia, then you should know that you speak Castellano with an obvious accent that is noticiably different than someone from, Madrid for example. To say that Andalucia is a dialect, is to incorrectly say that you gramatically and structurally form sentences differently, which is NOT TRUE. People from Andalucia speak faster which affects pronounciation.

  • Finally, I understand that the term "dialect" can take on different meanings, however when you are simply referring to the difference in pronounciation (as is the case between most people from Andalucia and say for example, Madrid) then the term "accent" is more appropriate. When you are referring to a difference in sentence structure and formation of words, then the term "dialect" would be appropriate.

  • @rmbaflmco12 Fourth, they do not sing flamenco "pure", but in this case the intent is very compelling. And do not be confused with the title of video "fandangos", where they sing, first, a seguiriya (or siguiriya), then a fandango, and-finally tango (for those who do not know, the "tango" is a type of singing flamenco that has nothing to do with the Argentine tango).

  • yah man, hes right. spanish has no dialects. im mexican but im pretty sure andalusians pronounce stuff differnt, like dropping the "d"s from some words. like "for pesado" i think its more like "pesao"

  • true, morgoth

  • @morgoth199 no todos los andaluces! Eso depende del nivel de educacion que se tenga, y no de que parte del pais se provenga! He sido profesora de muchisimos mejicanos, y ya sea porque son amerindios, o porque tienen muy poca escuela, su lenguage deja mucho que desear, pero es comprensible, por lo que antes he dicho. Yo no diria jamas que porque sean mejicanos, pronuncien de mala manera o dejen fuera alguna letra de esta o aquella palabra. Las generalizaciones jamas son validas!
